A quick reality check and rational look at the idea of D.U.M.B.s

Hi Avalonians,

I have been thinking a lot lately about the idea of these Deep Underground Military Bases that are supposedly located all around the world.

While I don't argue for or against the existence of such bases, I started to think there is a lot of disinfo about the extent and existence of these bases that some say can be as deep as 4.5 miles. From Project Camelot's page on Underground Bases and Tunnels (http://projectcamelot.org/underground_bases.html), from Dr. Bill Deagle's December 2006 Granada Forum Lecture: " There's 132 under the United States, an average of 5.36 to 7.24 cubic miles in size at an average of 1.5 to 4.5 miles underground".

Theories go on to explain interconnected highways and underground cities. My question to the community is, what about all the tectonic plates and masses of earth that are constantly moving, if not faster than normal with the quakes that are happening, climate change, etc? Wouldn't the slightest little movement against the structure of these maybe airtight spaces, or cities, be like a pinprick to a balloon, structurally speaking?

If there is an underground rail system that stretches across the united states, it must be under constant re-calibration and repair if something is traveling hundreds and hundreds of MPH on it.

I have seen a hundred pictures of people using tunnel boring machines hither and thither but nothing to convince me of clandestine underground bases. Surely there are underground bases for the president or even the elite to flee to if SHTF, but 4.5 miles deep and 7 miles wide? Sounds like an endeavor that big would cause some major problems topside, like massive landslides or a hole the size of a small town emerge somewhere.

I think perhaps this could be part of a fear psy-op that coincided with all the FEMA camps that started popping up to and around 2012.

I believe many of the underground bases will surely be in granite — deliberately so.

It seems to me a given that there are secret underground bases. We know there are NON-secret ones, like Cheyenne Mountain (and many others). It seems self-evident that there will be facilities we don't know about, especially as we have no way of seeing them. All perfect for doing stuff, and hiding stuff.

The military of many first-world countries (and maybe others, too) would be negligent if they didn't exist. And the engineering know-how has been there for decades.

I believe what Deagle says is true minus a 'free fall speed' elevator ride for two minutes, though that does sounds like fun! He mentioned underground cities in Russia capable of holding 500,000 people. That is just hard for my brain to grasp I suppose.

I wish he went into more detail about what he saw when he was down there and what they were doing, size of the place etc.

How could the construction of such cities not create a noticeable reaction on the surface of the earth?

I heard the maglev trains operate in a vacuum and can reach speeds of 5,000 miles an hour. If an earthquake shifted a tunnel even a fraction of an inch I'm sure they have lasers or other sensors that would inform them.

Hi, You are actually safer underground during an earthquake. An earthquake produces two waves, the S wave is below ground and moves in a side to side motion whereas on the surface is the deadly P wave, moving up and down and sideways, so thinking the geologist like Phillip Schneider considered this when tunneling and building the structures. Looking at the geologic terrains to determine the parent material to bore through.

My understanding is that the tech employed for DUMB construction are some type of high energy boring machines, and nuclear boring machines.

....... Then it's not too hard to connect the dots. It would seem a logical step to connect some of these more clandestine facilities to each other with underground transport systems. Their speed and type of propulsion have been whispered about for some time now......... We know the 'elite' have access to a level of tech that we maybe can't even comprehend, so...........

I would be more shocked if there wasn't an inter-connected network of underground facilities employing mag-lev or vacuum tube tech.

Thats only a little related to the topic. At Hollowman AFB the army broke the "official" worldrecord with an unmanned above ground MagLev. 633 miles per hour (1000 km/h). Boy that looks fast.

There is nothing mythical or unusual about underground ,infrastructure
tunnels or military bases the UK has many pre and post WW11 era
underground facilities ,and so do many countries. Especiallyduring
the cold war era circa approx 1947 - 1990. When Mountains were
bored into and underground networks of bases and habitation
quarters were built for a percentage of populations in the various
continuity of government schemes and plans.
