Age 57.

Prince’s body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning.

The singer — full name Prince Rogers Nelson — had a medical emergency on April 15th that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinois. But he appeared at a concert the next day to assure his fans he was okay. His people told TMZ he was battling the flu.

I am aware of this particular flu bug, it is insidiously appearing causing lung congestion. I noticed this bug appeared to be "sprayed" about two weeks ago - - it reminds me of SARS and MERS nCOV, same symptoms which appeared in Saudi Arabia, and UAE in 2012.

I was working outside at the time too Sunday the 10th.. strange cough appeared, starting with uncontrolled sneezing, strange smells, like "floral with a tinge of pepper/mustard". The continual chemical smell in the nose was like a "high note" type of perfume. Totally overwhelmed the nasal passages.

I thought it was a biowarfare spraying attack.. There were odd sounding helicopters that day. Sense of taste and smell disappeared for 10 days... I was able to control the symptoms.. it does appear to be highly virulent.. I did have MERS/Cov that I picked up in UAE a few years back, maybe an immunity was somewhat acquired to be able to survive this current "stuff" whatever it is. I heard reports coming in in the Sydney area that folks are starting to get symptoms there similarly.

I relapsed 5 times thinking it was over only for it to come back... I can imagine Prince had similar symptoms, the timing matches, and no doubt without appropriate treatment it would progress. I feel awful for the man and anyone affected. Something IS up.

Saline/bicarbonate nasal spray will help clear the nose and reduce the bloody excretion at least for me I found that out. The lungs/bronchi need to be kept clear, ibuprophen worked for the headache, and when the ALLERGY (hives) appear, benadryl works.. The attack creates an allergy (flooding), edema (controllable with appropriate things).. AND up to 10 grams of vitamin C (Emergen-C worked for me dispensed once per hour and a half)..daily.

The nasal and taste recovery came back using methyl-cobalamine (vitamin b12 the quick absorption type) after 10 days.

I'm in good health generally, and have been talking to folks in numerous places all hit in the same time window with something that causes breathing issues. Apparently Prince had no uncontrollable disease symptoms while in Atlanta, but rapidly went down hill after the concert, and then on the jet back to MN turned major breathing difficulty. I just talked with a fellow, about 57 in Oklahoma city this morning, who never ever gets ill, he was hacking, coughing. I had the luck to be invited to see him a few years ago live. He was a great live act.

Note: During the whole of the concert cell phone recordings or even pictures were forbidden, strictly enforced so you actually had to pay attention to the show. They had ushers posted at each section just watching for any sign of a cell phone or camera.

On April 17, he tweeted out a photo of a “Wrecka Stow Dress,” saying “With Fam Like this, you can’t miss.” “Wrecka Stow” was used by Prince to describe record stores in his directorial debut "Under The Cherry Moon."

On April 16, Record Store Day, Prince tweeted out a photo of people enjoying a “Paisley Park After Dark” dance party at his recording studios at Paisley Park, Minnesota, the same place he was found dead Thursday. “To give thanks for the good weather and for all the love and support,” his tweet said.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that he made a less-than-5-minute appearance at the party to prove that he was doing fine, and at one point even summoned security to deal with a fan who took his picture. The fan was allowed to stay.

That's right. He's had the AIDS since the 90's I believe. He's been holding since, avoiding treatment as a Jehovhas Witness' are expected to do.

I've been a Prince fan since 1981 and the Controversy album. Was the kind of fan that followed his personal life avidly, as much as was available to the world, private as he was. Danced to his work from the release of 1999 to Purple Rain, cried, loved and contemplated life accompanied by cuts from Sign of the Times to some of his more recent work. Medical examiner has completed the initial study. Toxicology may take "time"..

Sheriff Jim Olson - a bit of a tribute and then saying respect his privacy pls.. saying he won't talk about certain things.. Gave a brief timeline about getting the 911 call.. Repeating what we have heard, pronounced deceased, 10:07am. Prince was alone in the building they said. Building was checked, investigation was/is ongoing. The Carver County medical examiner showed up. Reported no signs of trauma. Questions then from the reporters present.

I found that out the hard way.

Never really take pharmaceuticals except one time I had a fairly serious foot injury and in order to work, I had to be able to walk. Slammed down this acetominophen and yes...it eventually stopped the inflammation. Toxified me and caused a massive histamine reaction, much worse than the original injury.

Ameliorated it with cashews, the strongest source of copper as copper is crucial to the liver in removing toxins. Even after clearing the allergy, I had dermatographism for months. But from this experience, I would testify that this kind of drug reaction is a likely culprit.

Prince had a forum! :D ... pretty cool. I mean, I know lots of celebrities do, and his death is why it's a first result. But it made me think he was much more aware of the world around him and created paisley park and his forum to reach out, and be a part of humanity. Interesting that this thread focused on the chemtrails spraying. We have to go to LA for business and at 7 am the chemtrails were thick and fat crossing each other. By the time we reached our office, more of the same. We could watch the planes letting the fumes out. Came home two days later, to our home at the beach and thick nasty chemtrails like fat arrows over the land and pointing down to the ocean. Our coughing has not stopped for weeks despite the heavy arsenal of supplements and homeopathics. Its apparent the chemtrail war is on with a vengeance. We are sitting ducks while the elite parties and has their dark high holy holidays.

Not just chemtrails but "spraying" of something from a lower altitude vehicle... I think the lower altitude vehicle is used when more precision is needed..

I just talked with another in New Orleans, who came down with the "crud".. Earlier today I heard that same strange helicopter engine, then within 30 minutes, the eye burning, followed by that "flowery peppery" smell, and sneezing then nasal issues.. And a start with the chest congestion - mark that 6 relapses, which corresponded to a set of patterns.

What has been observed in the contacts talked with, who have said they NEVER ever get sick, is in the southern states, it is head/sinus/throat targeted with the "strain", and further north, it goes more chest like.. The danger is opiate use while the "crud" is in effect (prescription type or street versions).. coupled with the crud, the issue could very well be death, due to low oxygen levels. Such can be monitored easily enough by using a PULSE-OX which can be obtained in many sporting goods stores, relatively low cost (hikers and runners use these things)..

Consider who (exactly who, not a generalization) would want to target folks who use legal (prescription) opiates or heroin for instance. It sounds more like that combination of spraying (different altitudes), that induces assault, that infections can be acquired (leading folk to believe the immune system has been compromised), plus an attack vector focused on users of substance...

Prince had a forum! :D ... pretty cool. I mean, I know lots of celebrities do, and his death is why it's a first result. But it made me think he was much more aware of the world around him and created paisley park and his forum to reach out, and be a part of humanity. From what I know he always communicated with his fans but I've never heard him of him preaching. Im not sure if was a practicing jahovahs witness, or if there is such a thing? Lol. But he was raised in that church, so he believed in Jesus. But I digress..

He was an interesting individual. He reached out to his brothers and sisters, he interpreted his perception of this world around us into music and video, poems, and dance. The guy was called extremely private though?

Thanks, I didn't know that. I don't know any JW (that I'm aware of), and have the impression of Jehova's witnesses being rigid, and thought it might not be allowed.

The element of transcending the physical body after death, we see in other religions too. Nonetheless, it doesn't automatically imply agreement on cremation.

Which makes me think that objections to cremation from a religious point of view might not always have their foundation in physical considerations but that's for another thread, sometime.

The attorney, Michael Padden, said that Lorna Nelson and Duane Nelson often discussed with him Prince’s drug problems, adding that “both were really concerned it would end his life prematurely.” Padden said Duane Nelson told him that he paid straw buyers to obtain prescriptions that he then gave to Prince.

Lorna Nelson died in 2006, and Duane Nelson five years later.

Contradictions abound

Former band member and close friend Sheila E. said Sunday that she has “never seen him take anything, not even aspirin, in the 38 years I’ve known him.”

Twin Cities limo driver Robbie Paster, Prince’s valet and personal assistant from 1984 to 1992, said Monday, “I never knew of any opiate or cocaine problem. There’s no way you can do both of those and be as driven as he was. I never saw it.”

Prince’s longtime lawyer, L. Londell McMillan, told the Associated Press Monday night that he spoke to Prince the Sunday before he died. “He said he was doing perfect,” McMillan said.

And why would McMillan be needing to talk with Prince the Sunday before one may ask?

So, in the ET article, Sheila E. says this:
Sheila E. and Prince met in 1978, and while she says there was an immediate friendship between the two, there wasn't an instant attraction.

"It just kind of gradually happened, it wasn't forced," she says about how their relationship turned romantic. "We just like a lot of the same things, and then things we didn't agree on were good things we were glad we didn't agree on."

And she goes on to say,


Sheila E. says that Prince definitely suffered pain from years of performing, and did have problems with his hip.

"I mean, you think about all the years he was jumping off those risers," she recalls. "They were not low -- they were very, very high -- and to jump off that ... First of all, the Purple Rain tour and the way that they were stacked, he had those heels on. We did a year of touring [and] for him to jump off of that -- just an entire year would have messed up his knees."

"He was in pain all the time, but he was a performer," she adds.

So folks that were with him EARLY (prior to hip replacement), say he isn't using drugs. Some then afterward say, the prescription Percocet was then used AFTER 2010.

And the difference is TIMING.. who knew Prince when.

However, cocaine is a (an upper)and percocet is an opioid (or a downer). These things are kinda scary to take together.

Any drug that contradicts the effects of another drug tends to confuse the body, especially the heart.

For example, although cocaine numbs the body, it speeds up the heart.

Percocet, if you take enough, will numb the body but slows the heart.

This leaves your heart wondering what the heck it's supposed to be doing.

Quite a risky combination that one will just expect a higher and higher dose each time until the electrical signals in the heart misfire and end up in fibrillation or tachycardia and most likely acute cardiac arrest.

Couple that with FLU, probable liver damage from the Acetominophen in the Percocet, and one gets breathing cessation, lung drowning (pneumonia symptoms), heart failure...

Sheesh.. hip replacement then trying to find a way to deal with it and still go on.. dear Prince.

I never got the sense that Prince was a drug user by choice. This would be so rare in the entertainment industry.
For some reason I had the idea drugs were a big no-no for him and anyone who worked with/ for him.

Inadvertent "speedballing" could have happened with Prince. Toxicology could show that if the samples taken after death are quickly processed in the right type of analyzers.

Are performers/artists subject? I suppose anyone put in the culture with friends doing it may be subject to trying it as a solution to "keep going" at full speed and not be feeling any "pain"..

This man is definitely a contrast with the other people in this list (for one thing, being a royal, he had no discernible talent!), but it just goes to show that, even in the 1930s, speedballing was a problem.

Speeding kills when mixed with opiates.. don't even try. Up's and down's are not a solution. Prince if indeed using Percocet to try to control hip and pain could have resorted to different blocking methods, such as spinal electrical stimulation (http://www.pijn.com/en/patients/pain-treatment/interventional-pain-treatment/spinal-cord-test-stimulation/), the newest way to block pain without drugs.

Prescription painkillers were found in Prince’s possession when he died at his home in Chanhassen, Minnesota, CBS News reports.

A law enforcement source told CBS News the Carver County Sheriff’s Office has asked the federal Drug Enforcement Administration in help to determine where the medications came from and what prescriptions the legendary entertainer had obtained.

That would not work. A drug user who is at speedball level use would not do this. And a newb would hurt themselves badly attempting it.

Percocet is oxycodone with acetametaphen (Tylenol), which needs to be taken out by a cold water extraction, then it "could" be used for injection with coke, but why bother ? 10 Percocet wouldn't even touch a heroin habit. Plus you'd go into kidney failure with all the Tylenol before you overdosed from the oxycodone. So Percocet as heroin replacement is a no go. Unless the cold water extraction was used.

Yeah I know too much about this, but I'm all about harm reduction when it comes to drug use. So I just had to put that out there :)

On Tuesday morning, Prince's sister Tyka Nelson filed an emergency petition for the appointment of a special administrator, according to Minnesota court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Nelson, whose address is listed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, requested the appointment of Bremer Bank, which handled the singer's personal and business finance services for years.

Planning on a lifesaving mission

Prince was found dead one day before he was scheduled to meet with a California doctor in an attempt to kick an addiction to painkillers, an attorney with knowledge of the death investigation said Tuesday.

Dr. Howard Kornfeld, a national authority on opioid addiction treatment, was called by Prince representatives the night of April 20 because Prince “was dealing with a grave medical emergency,” said William Mauzy, a prominent Minneapolis attorney working with the Kornfeld family.

Kornfeld, who runs Recovery Without Walls in Mill Valley, Calif., could not clear his schedule to meet with Prince the next day, April 21, but he planned to fly out the following day.

So he sent his son, Andrew Kornfeld, who works with him, to Minnesota, with plans for him to go to Paisley Park to explain how the confidential treatment would work, Mauzy said.

“The plan was to quickly evaluate his health and devise a treatment plan,” Mauzy said, speaking on behalf of the Kornfelds. “… The doctor was planning on a lifesaving mission.”

They didn't get there soon enough .

Authorities said Prince was alone when his body was found. Foul play and suicide are not suspected. Autopsy results, which will include toxicology tests, are pending.

Within days of Prince’s death, sources told the Star Tribune that his use of painkillers, which were found at the scene, had become the focus of the investigation. As part of their probe, investigators are trying to determine where Prince got the pills and who provided them.

While authorities have characterized their work as a criminal investigation, that doesn’t mean that it will result in charges.

After he was first contacted by Prince’s representatives, Howard Kornfeld requested that a Twin Cities physician check on Prince and stabilize him, sources said.

It was hoped that Prince would agree to go to California for long-term care under Kornfeld’s supervision, which would include round-the-clock nursing support, Mauzy said.

Prince’s representatives called Howard Kornfeld because of his reputation as a nationally known addiction researcher, Mauzy said.

According to Howard Kornfeld’s business website, Recovery Without Walls is a “personalized outpatient clinic, specializing in innovative, evidence-based medical treatment for chronic pain and drug and alcohol addiction.” It says that the clinic’s medical team “works together to resolve problems that other clinicians have found difficult, if not impossible to solve.”

Howard Kornfeld also is known as an advocate for the expanded use of Suboxone, which contains buprenorphine and curbs opioid cravings. The drug has been underutilized, in part, because many doctors haven’t completed the federal training that is necessary to prescribe it.

Andrew Kornfeld had a small amount of buprenorphine to give to Prince. However, it was never administered, Mauzy said.

I fortunately first saw and met Prince in person at the 1994 American Music Awards Rehearsal while performing with Black Men United..Got to watch him rehearse for the awards and meet him and was blown away by his presence...Most people don't know my group The Rude Boys @therealrudeboys was named after a button on Prince jacket saying Rude Boy on his "Controversy" album released in the late 80's Prince has defiantly been an influence in my career...
