Hi all,
Just an offering for this if you have ever experienced it. At times, one ear or as something you may have endured. I hope this offers some clarity if you have:

Make sure you do not have an ear infection.

There have been quite a few threads on the subject over the years.
Apart from medical reasons, this has been attributed to spiritual growth--Kundalini awakening etc.
Anyway worth visiting again with fresh perspectives.

Could be tinnitus... or just a product of the tons of waves of energy with all the wireless technology, satellites and such... if we could see energy waves, earth would probably be blocked out totally from view ...

Greybeard,
If I do offer something like this going forth...i will check a bit more thoroughly to see if there is a similar theme to join the dots. Some have been some super long threads to so hard to identify also. But will do.

I have heard some new ageists say that when you get an intense ringing, like when you go temporarily deaf in one ear and then get an intense, deeply pitched ringing - that you are getting a download from our alien friends/foes. When I first heard this about two years ago, I was told that if I put a protective shield around me and ''break' the connection by basically telling it to only let the light in, sometimes this stops it dead in its tracks and sometimes it doesn't.
However, I live in an area with a high amount of wifi waves, so I think I mainly attribute this to that. I have been developing a theory that our brains are being forced to evolve and 'build' a protective barrier against the barrage of waves that have just cropped up in the last 30 years. So I do wonder if our brain has some sort of coping mechanism and the ringing in our ears that seems to be becoming a more and more common complaint can be chalked up to the waves.

Tinnitus (constant ringing in ears) is very common and is a human aliment reported well before radio waves, and electricity.
I suffer from 9500khz constant tinnitus. It is a brain condition with no known cure.
Tinnitus is a form of 'continuous torture'
It can be bought on by loud noises such as attending a loud rock concert
Medication, most commonly by anti depressants.
Illness such as Hypothyroid with lack of T3 hormones in brain.
Tinnitus can start by ringing in ears then going way, or random ringing in ears. Luckily the receptors in the brain reset, unlike constant Tinnitus where your brains internal keyboard is stuck on a high note. Auditory cortex receptor cells at the tone are freaking out in a constant on state.
Pharma drugs, Loud noise, Stress & Hormones can trigger your brains interval sound chip to freak out.
Lets not trivialise this to ascending to some higher plain nonsense or some alien nut job retard, some people commit suicide because they cant cope with the brain damage.
The best way to get the noise out of your head is to de-stress, chill and reduce the life destroying cortisol in your system.
Some relif can be found from sound therapy, such as white noise, But there is no CURE for tinnitus!! There are only masking tecniques.
Barring spirituality, ayurveda view it happens if vata element is unbalanced. Chinese medicine has theirs.

I have felt different kind of ear "ringings" over the years, but none permanently. Right now Iīm receiveing the shortest I have ever felt. It is one not very low nor high pitch and it lasts only around 8 to 10 seconds and then... it stops and goes away for weeks, even months, (2 or 3). I have never consulted any one about it as it is not annoying to me and I donīt give it a second tought or speculate about it. This thread made me recalled it. Now that I think about it, maybe it has been happening for the last 3 years. WHY...? donīt know and donīt care. IF it is of some importance, I will know sooner or later, I guess.
Greetings to all, :waving:

Something else to consider is the presence of microscopic parasites , it is apparently very common if you talk to an ear, nose and throat specialist, often when they perform surgery on the ear they discover the mastoid bone is riddled with parasites.
A natural solution is to get some organic oregano oil mixed with virgin olive oil and use it for ear drops, the oregano oil just loves to take on parasites, also rubbing some on the area behind the ear so it can be absorbed is also a good idea. If it stings and feels like its crawling after you apply the ear drops you know the battle is real.
Just what I have heard from several main stream and alternative health practitioners.... obviously the main stream advocate petrochemical based drops and other wonderous pharma synthetics, but the natural side is cheaper and a good starting point IMO
Any treatment is better than none by the way, natural or main stream, and the ringing apparently becomes progressively less as the treatment progresses.

Also if you suffer hypoxia or dehydration , it's a common symptom . It's good to get plenty of fresh air, keep hydrated and your minerals in balance .
I have very sensitive hearing and keep hearing high pitch frequencies easily at times , here in the city it's a total frequency mess .
Out and up in the mountains you can well discern where you are with how big or small is the distance from nearest frequency transmitters and human settlements .
It's so beautiful out there listening to the roars and pure sounds of nature ..
It kind of proves the point . My tinnitus exists only under circumstances

I should test that too, spent all my life here in the city (well, we don't have mountains). So much noise and pollution in so many different ways... Although even countryside has lots of signals these days, it'll take a while to get to a dead zone.
