Informal discussions have already taken place between US and Swedish officials over the possibility of the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange being delivered into American custody, according to diplomatic sources.

Mr Assange is in a British jail awaiting extradition proceedings to Sweden after being refused bail at Westminster Magistrates’ Court despite a number of prominent public figures offering to stand as surety.

His arrest in north London yesterday was described by the US Defence Secretary Robert Gates as “good news”, and may pave the way for extradition to America and a possible lengthy jail sentence.

I didn't read the entire article... Just what you posted.

It reminds me of the Osama Bin Laden scenario... Sure they may plaster his face all over MSM saying he got a jail sentence... We never hear about it again except little excerpts here and there while he's living the high life somewhere unknown thanks to TPTW for having done an excellent job pulling the wool over everyone's eyes while something bigger is brewing in the background.

When will the madness end???... I need a treefort somewhere warm away from all this madness!!!:frusty:

Well I guess the CIA is revving up its white unmarked jets to transport J.A. to an undisclosed location for interrogation!! That is reassuring.

If that is actually what he said, it may give JA a good argument to stay in the UK. There are a lot of UK judges who don't like seeing justice perverted.
