Leslie Kean interviews Christopher Mellon. Christopher Mellon spent nearly 20 years in the federal government. As a Legislative Assistant for Senator William S. Cohen he drafted the legislation establishing the US Special Operations Command. In the Pentagon, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Security and Information Operations during the Clinton Administration, becoming the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence in the Clinton and Bush Administrations.

I can't stand the ufo examples they put with this video. and I can't believe in 20 years, Christopher Mellon has not ran across more insiders that would come clean or at least let on with him.

I still have a really hard time with this earth is flat thinking, humans of this age locked in finding the new world , weather is oceans of water or open space. The stone age thinking on this speck of dust believe this is all there is.

when every planet in this system is occupied and thriving, yet still believe only what there told by the authoritarian controllers of knowledge on this planet of lies and deceptions, keeping all of us on a flat world. When we get close to the truth, or speak of it we are exterminated or destroyed to hunt and gather yet again, on this planet....... the evidence of our demise over millions of years is in the rubble uncovered of civilizations long past, and yet again we stand at the door way of destruction. So the controller's off worlders can reboot this human slave planet yet again. We are still like the pigmee's of south american when they saw the first planes fly over there village in the 20's LOOK a UFO ... what the hell ... life dose exist beyond our thinking.. when will we step off this flat planet and embrace life everywhere?

To quote Obama (close paraphrase), "...that's what "they" tell us to say"...

I don't believe for one second that an "insider" like Christopher Mellon would be either that uninformed, ignorant or naive (and same for Obama for that matter) ;).

Here are some key quotes by Mellon in the article:

"I highly doubt DoD or any other government agency is concealing UFO information."

"So while I have no reason to believe there is any recovered alien technology, I will say this: If it were me, and I were trying to bury it deep, I’d take it outside government oversight entirely and place it in a compartment as a new entity within an existing defense company and manage it as what we call an “IRAD” or “Independent Research and Development Activity.”"

"In my view, calling for the end to an alleged government UFO cover-up is almost certainly a dead end, and does not help inspire anyone in government to become more open to the topic. The UFO mystery is a scientific problem. A true scientist seeks and follows the data no matter how politically incorrect the facts may be. The greatest scientific breakthroughs occur when we verify information that challenges conventional wisdom. That’s why I joined the board of UFODATA."
.................

I agree with thepainterdoug's assessment: "... I can't believe in 20 years, Christopher Mellon has not ran across more insiders that would come clean or at least let on with him.",
however I do believe that it's possible that Christopher Mellon has had no official confirmation of alien contact.

Just consider that the former Defense Minister of Canada came out to disclose that governments are hiding the existence of aliens, but then had no proof, or seemingly no information beyond what any of us have based on hearing unofficial claims by insiders and whistle blowers online.

I think Christopher Mellon is making the point that, if aliens exist, a good way to prove it is to approach it scientifically out in the open, rather than just trying to dig out any hidden information that may exist from groups that don't want to give it up.
