I skimmed the video, and despite the irritating synthetic voice (why do people do this?! ), and despite the rather hysterical title the uploader gave it, it points out fairly seriously that there are many indications — and there are — that NASA is indeed grooming us, deliberately or otherwise, for the big official announcement that we're surely not alone.

It's coming isn't it........... Official Disclosure.
The question is, will the 'discovered' alien life be perceived as a threat?
I tend to think so, when you start to connect the myriad dots....... except it will not be the aliens' that are the threat....... It is us.
The Pentagon is Spending $2 Billion on Mysterious Space Weapons
f a conflict ever starts up in outer space, the U.S. government is making sure it's totally equipped to handle it. With China, Russia, and other countries developing technology that could threaten U.S. national security infrastructure in space, the Pentagon has designated a "principal space adviser" and is working on developing a "Space Fence" to help track debris in the solar system, while agencies across the Defense Department have started participating in "war-game scenarios involving space combat.
The Pentagon spends $22 billion on space programs and is investing an additional $5 billion in space efforts this year, including $2 billion for what is known as "space control,” which includes its highly classified offensive programs. [Air Force Gen. John] Hyten declined to discuss the ways in which the United States is preparing to attack other countries in space. But the United States has had the capability to blow up satellites since 1985, when an F-15 fighter pilot fired a missile into space that took out an old military observation satellite.

Let's face it , many other beings are not even 3D, so why always look for 3D stuff?. Yes this robotic voice is a real pain, how does this get given credence? we are also vulnerable to "false flag aliens"... after all the USA has been co -creating other life forms for 60 years or more

Most people cannot speak effectively. Nor do they take the time to train themselves. (I expect your statement was minimally rhetorical)
I try to write in the same way that one uses to speak effectively.
That..one could ..almost use my text as a script --for the act of phrasing.
As for alien announcements, that would likely only come when it is not a big deal. When it is almost... passé.
A condition of which we are nearing, I feel.

Although one has to keep an open mind about such mind blowing topics, I remain quite sceptical about the whole alien-UFO phenomenon.
That's fine. But this thread wasn't really intended to debate the existence or possibility that other life exists. It was just to provide some interesting info. I think the comments that follow are more appropriate if they are aimed at discussion of the information from the original post. Turning the thread into a black and white debate about whether ETs exist kind of derails it off in another direction and maybe should've been saved for a dedicated post instead...
Mod edit from Bill: yes, this is very much a separate subject. I copied this post, and moved all the others that preceded it, to create a new thread called Do ETs exist? (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?90646-Do-ETs-exist)
