Yesterday I observed 7 AH-64 Apache helicopters flying at low level fully armed heading north towards Washington State (I live in Oregon). After that I watched 4 Blackhawks at low level flying behind the AH-64's. In the past 9 years living in this area, I have never seen any chopper flying at that low an altitude.

Lots of comments from people that live in Indiana on the attached links.

"BEECH GROVE, Ind. -- Many Beech Grove residents were woken up early Tuesday morning by the sound of gunshots at the former St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.

The gunshots were part of a military exercise using the facility. Nearby residents reported loud bangs and explosions and seeing people rappelling from helicopters.

"I went into the bathroom and heard all kinds of commotion and lots of helicopters," Blaine Bonney, a Beech Grove resident, said. "I stuck my head out the window and see one go flying by and another go flying by. They're all circling, making all kinds of patterns."

The Marion County 911 dispatch center was reportedly "flooded" with calls from concerned Beech Grove citizens -- but sources told Call 6 Investigates the 911 call takers were also not alerted to the event, and were caught off-guard.

Bonney said he feels safe, now that he knows what was going on.

"If you hear it's training, and they're out there protecting us and keeping an eye on us, it makes me feel a little safer," he said.

The exercise drew shock on Twitter, where one user wondered if we'd "gone to war and no one mentioned it."

"Military training wakes Beech Grove residents early Tuesday morning"

"BEECH GROVE, Ind. – Many residents of Beech Grove awoke early Tuesday morning to what they say sounded like gunshots and explosions.

According to police officials, this activity was part of a scheduled military training exercise near the old St. Francis Hospital.

Beech Grove residents say they saw helicopters flying low over the area and heard what sounded like several loud explosions.

Police say this was training exercise was scheduled and there is no threat to anyone in the area.

Many viewers were upset about the drills, saying they didn't have any advance warning and were alarmed by the loud noises. Some people said they received a knock on the door letting them know what was going on.

Several residents took to social media to write about the training exercises and what they saw."

Thank you for participating in my thread wondering :)
Could you be more specific as to why the headline is misleading/sensational? Many times headlines are misleading however I don't find this one that far off ...

Explosions, helicopters startle Beech Grove neighbors

"Explosions, gunshots and the sound of helicopters descended early Tuesday on the old St. Francis Hospital building in Beech Grove as part of a military exercise, police said.

A wave of 911 calls came into into Marion County police dispatch starting after midnight as the military training got underway, a dispatch supervisor said. Police confirmed that the military was conducting a training operation at the site.

Beech Grove Police Capt. Robert Mercuri said officials went door-to-door to warn neighbors about the training, but some residents did not get the message.

"We're sorry people were startled," Mercuri said. "We hope they understand that the city of Beech Grove was trying to help the people who protect us everyday."

Several south-side residents voiced concerns in messages posted on social media.

"Those booms (were) not near as earthshaking as the Richmond Hill explosion," Jacob Supple wrote in a post on the Beech Grove Our Town Facebook page. "It was over in less than ten minutes anyway... So we lost a little sleep."

About 100 people took part in the military's urban combat training, Mercuri said. The training is scheduled to continue throughout the week, but Mercuri said it's unclear if the military intends to perform another simulated raid on the old hospital."

I think I reacted in part because of the frequent sensational headlines in the news...anything to get the reader to tune in to the story, true or untrue. My thought is that although this situation could have been handled differently (I would have reacted with alarm too) it did turn out to be a drill and not something worse, which was what I expected when I read the headline. I know someone who lives there, which was why I read further.

Thanks for your post(s) justntime2learn. Made me think of Jade Helm 15 type event. I wonder if this is part of a lower profile version of Jade Helm type maneuver.

I totally get the sensitivity to sensational headlines in the news, wondering. Just go over to Yahoo News and see how bad it gets. It's gotten to the point over there that it reminds one of the National Enquirer.

A lot of 'click bait' on the 'net these days.

Remember the Beach Grove, IN, you-tube video on FEMA camps? Well the picture I saw showed evidence that underground there are huge installations. Also, when I saw that place, there were visions of Nazi land. Recent videos of Walmart and FEMA centers mentioned that cages were being built underground in which the people would be gassed to death. Are you all brain dead?

they are growing the public accustomed to these random "exercises " in preperation for the day when they won't be exercises at all and by the time people realise it on the day thier chance to vacate will have gone

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!

I might add to that: They are also getting our military accustomed to "fighting" in the homeland. I could imagine tptb 'pretending' it is an exercise and duping our soldiers into an actual attack 'thinking' it is just another pretend attack.

Slow and methodical seems to be the mo so nobody really notices unless one looks at history as it continues to repeat itself.

Story of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor so far, isn't it?

That is a bit heavy, doing a full-on helicopter assault right beside town. What if I was sneaking into the old hospital to do, you know, those things you do when you sneak in old hospitals? I doubt they would give my mom fifty cents for whatever was left of me.

I sure hope this government practice exercise doesn't turn into another false flag episode, such as Sandy hook and The Boston marathon. My spider sense is tingling.
