Greetings Fellow Avalon Explorers!
I came upon this video narrated by an anthropologist who wrote a book ( noted in the last portion of the video) and found the video fascinating. Just a bit of personal trivia: our son was an avid explorer; loving to sleep under the stars, hiking, camping, traveling to parts unknown. Around his mid twenties, he ventured to the Grand Canyon alone ( without our knowledge) and repelled down a cliff to a cave. (maybe its a good thing I did not know). He spent the night there alone in a vision quest. Sometimes, we just don't know the depth of our children. I did know he was a Ute Indian in a past life, tall as he is now and loving to hike. I learned one summer when he was 15, we sent him to a month long wilderness camp to learn leadership in Wyoming. He hiked the Bear Tooth Mt in Montana and did the Rapids on the Snake River. The one thing I remember the counselors telling us, he led the pack but always came back and helped the others climb to crazy heights. This was a pattern of the Ute tribe. Later, a reading he had revealed that kids came together from Canada, Europe, America, to meet each other at that camp. They did not know each other at all. And they were a part of that Ute tribe long ago which explains the emotional comradery when they all said goodbye. We parents never know what we allow to be set up for our kids! There is a reverence for the Hopi and here is some interesting information in this video as to what they believed about the Grand Canyon.

Thanks for the interesting video. Had heard about Kincaid...what a shame that such discoveries are mostly shoved aside if they don't fit into our paradigm. Enjoyed hearing about your son!
