View Full Version : Voice truth analysis software

The software used to determine inferences in voice analysis is fairly expensive. Recall a price of 15K for the stuff law enforcement might use. In an older tv show about using voice analysis, Travis Walton failed his voice test about ET abduction, which was a surprise. A few questions come to mind...
1. How accurate is the tech today about 5-7 years later? Especially in light of Walton's false positive.
2. Is there a low cost alternative to the expensive software?

I don't know anything at all about this, but I do recall that when I went to investigator's school several years ago, I learned that polygraphs are not very dependable (perhaps the reason they are not allowed as evidence in a court room) and that the outcome is due more to the skill of the examiner than to the machine itself. I was actually quite interested in possibly becoming a polygraph examiner until I learned the truth about the machines. I also know that a lot of people in whatever job they hold are often not very skilled at what they do. So perhaps that may have had something to do with this person failing his test. Maybe he didn't really fail at all, but the reasons it appeared that way escaped those doing the testing. I do not know who Travis Walton is, so I'm completely clueless on that count.

Why would Travis go on a sort of game show to prove his integrity? Obviously, ratings for the show would take priority over truth. By doing this, in my opinion, he sort of cheapens his experience.

I've never been a fan of folks who claim to be abductees throwing more popular well known abductees under the bus.

who's doing that DNA?
My feeling is that Travis is authentic...

I apologize then. I live in Snowflake AZ, and I'm pretty convinced Travis Walton is telling the truth as well.
Sorry for the mix up, but in your posts I thought you were trying to state that due to this voice stress analysis software that Travis Walton was exposed as some kind of shuckster.
I apologize Mojo. I'll erase my former post.
