Mornin' Avalonians and citizens of this blue terra.

After a quick forum search it seems there are a lot of threads about individuals who desire explanation about a dream they had.

I thought it'd be interesting and useful to create a thread where all dreams deemed worthy to be shared could be posted and bundled and if asked for be explained by others.

Welcome to the Avalon Dream Thread

Post your dreams!

Ok i'll play

I don't remember my dreams that often and i hardly ever have lucid dreams but one of the last lucid dreams i had went like this.

I found myself walking around a dimly lit, old style, fancy pet shop.It was crammed with lots of cages and ornaments etc.

I was walking around checking things out when i stumbled across an elaborate bamboo bird cage on a stand.I looked at the cage for a moment then i leant in towards the cage to see what was inside it.

As i got closer and looked into the cage i seen that there was a red budgerigar perched inside the cage.I come from Australia and i'm fairly sure that you can't get red budgies but anyway....i leaned even closer to the cage to get a better look at the bird.

As i was looking at the bird the bird leaned on its perch towards me and said one word very clearly...it said....."Ethiopia"

Well what does it mean?

I don't have the faintest

I dream almost always and sometimes lucid... altough.. i guess

A few days ago I had a dream for the second time.
One of those dreams that feel far more real and intense than the usual common dayprocessing dreams. The dream feels like a virtual movie, a hologram in which i'm forced to experience and see the show but have total conscience of what's happening and of what I'm thinking. Quite the experience..

This dream was a recurrance of one I'd already had once. I'll spare you the whole story as I can't even remember it all.
The most striking part struck me though. Altough I've been interested in Et's for almost all my life I've never had dreams about them or very close encounters with them. (just ufo sightings)
All of sudden i've got the same dream in one year of triangular shaped starfighters / ufo's flying over in formation, both times at night.
In each dream I was in an unknown city on the streets with people all around. Rumours of something to come. Somehow we were able to see large parts of the sky which coloured dark hazy red. As if it was dark in the night with the sun glimpsing just an inch over the horizon lightning up some enourmous cloud silhouettes rendering the whole scene a bit surreal.
As of coming out of slow motion.. WHAM squadrons of triangular shaped crafts in arrow formations, clearly not terrestial fighters, jets flew over emmitting beautiful lights.
The sight of it awakened a feeling of liberation, as if somehow they came to get me, as if I wasn't human at all but had been living as one. Now as "they" had come back I knew I was with them.
I felt like a beacon that activated by the arrival of the extra? terrestial presence. People started gazing, flabbergasted, they knew this was something big but they didn't understand.
Out of joy I started telling everyone who they were and what it was they were seeing, excited as hell but having no clue how I instantly knew who they were and why they were here.
Somehow I knew... and for the first time I didn't feel alone
They looked like we should look, they felt like we should feel, they were the image of what mankind was supposed to be or supposedly can be.
It felt litteraly like time stood still and a worldwide liberation took place.

Twice I've had this dream now and it's still impressive as I try to recall it. Not only on a visual level but on a deeply profound emotional level.

The only reference I can give is the ending scene of Star Wars Special Edition Trilogy where similar scenes are shown. When place in a terrestial context it might just give a glimpse of the dream experience but personally I think the reference spoils the personal imagination you might get when reading the description of the dream.

What i get out of it? I don't even dare to make conclusions before i've put more effort in exploring the lucid dreaming topic.

Thanks for reading.

Love & Peace

Hey that's a cool dream

I believe that higher beings can influence our dreams or possibly even give us dreams etc

Sometimes in lucid dreams it is as if you can actually physically feel what is going on.As if you are really there experiencing the event.

Yeah the more it is frustrating to find yourself bombed out of the experience by the morning alarm:(

Cool experiences guys!

For many people who do not understand the term Lucid Dream,
A lucid dream is a dream in which the sleeper is aware that she or he is dreaming. When the dreamer is lucid, she or he can actively participate in and often manipulate the imaginary experiences in the dream environment. Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_Dreaming)
But note that Wikipedia inserts the word "imaginary" which indicates their bias against the subject. I beg to differ, because how can one prove or disprove such an experience?

Have you ever had a dream that you were having a dream? Usually in this state you are able to participate and even manipulate your dream. Have you ever dreampt of falling, but woke-up just before you hit bottom? Here's a condensed version of one I had many years ago:

I went to bed and started dreaming. My dream started out with me going to bed, and then I started dreaming (You read that right!). I was hanging out with friends and suddenly I fell off a cliff. While I was falling I knew that this was all a dream. I HIT BOTTOM! The dream continued, and in the remainder of the dream I was hanging out with my friends and my right arm was in a cast. When I finally woke-up I was laying flat on my back with both arms to my sides, but my right arm was aching and almost to the point of being numb!

So the question here is: Was I sleeping on my arm and then turned onto my back before waking up? Or: Something else??? Nothing can be proven. But I know one thing for sure: My aching arm certainly wasn't imaginary! LOL!

Oh btw, Lucid Dreams are usually the result of Out-of-body experiences (OBEs). An OBE is one that is involuntary, whereas Astral Projection is one that is intentional.

Have A Nice Day!

Lat lucid dream i had was a while ago and was a bit disturbing tho.I am sure it was probably just reflecting some of my own fears anyway, but basically i was out on these huge open plains field along with a lot of other people there were also lots of cows and some of them had some kind of disease and were dying from it while others were perfectly fine we were all being sort of hunted down by a bunch of men driving pick up trucks and military like vehicles, there was this huge wall and all the people were trying to climb it up to get over a hill but the vast majority of people would give up and stop climbing the wall while a few of us wouldnt stop climbing no matter what to get over the hill,i was pissed i really wanted to turn back and go fight the bad guys who were hunting us down, after we climbed that cliff i cant quite remember how the whole thing ended.I always dream and one a week or some rarely twice a week i have very lucid dreams, lately tho every time i have a lucid dream there are always animals in the dreams and they usually always talk as well and they are very nice too i am not sure what is the meaning of all that hehe?

Thanks, Elandiel, for this (lucid) dream thread. It's amazing how similar your description is to my experience,
in a dream I once had, during the eighties, standing in a crowd, watching a huge space ship, blocking the sky entirely.
The ship reminded me of the one in "Close encounters of the third kind". The way it comes in sight, the stunning impact
of it's size on the people that are present, gazing at it.

The dream started in a huge city, with large open spaces and modern buildings, all in very light colors, empty and silent.
I was the only one present and watched the scenery, from a somewhat higher position, above street level. Then, slowly,
sounds of the city hustle and bustle began and a huge crowd gathered around me. I stood on the pavement of a large square.
In antecipation. I looked at the sky and slowly this huge spaceship came into view, blocking the entire sky. Lots of details,
of structures underneath and colored lights in red, yellow, green and blue, against a dark blue background,
were spread all over it's surface underneath. It was a disc shaped ship. When steady, in position, a high pitched sound began
to ring in my ears and immediately I "knew" This was a "wake up call" and I had been prepared for this a long time ago.

I belonged to a "plan of action" connected to that spaceship. Most faces around me were stunned and in disbelief.
I knew lots of work had to be done to prepare many people for the truth. I felt a rush of relief and satisfaction and I started
walking in a direction that pulled me and more people chose to do that. I and those who walked with me, in that same direction,
looked each other in the eye and "knew" each other, telepathically. Knew and understood our shared purpose and intention.
This was a very fulfilling experience, I felt great. Then the dream ended..... Thanks for sharing this dream, blessed be, Dutchess Tint.

I was in a wood paneled room. Something was coming to get me. I had a butter knife in my hand and was trying to pry open the window. The door opened and it reached out it's hand and grabbed my arm. It was an off world being that was a light reddish brown.

The next house I lived in had a wood paneled room.

Hi Dreamers! :)

I posted this on another page, but I think it belongs here. I would really appreciate any insight that you could provide regarding this dream:

I actually came to this thread to ask about dream interpretation. Last night, I had a very vivid dream wherein I was witness to two huge owls fighting within my arm's length. I looked up owls on dream interpretation, but it really doesn't apply. Does anyone have any insight into this dream? It was horrible to witness and has been with me all day. Thanks.

oh and a footnote - the owls, were huge, grey and were fighting one another in mid air...i was seated at a bistro table with faceless friends, having refreshments outdoors. I was very aware of the woodland surroundings. The air was heavy with an impending summer storm.

I found this. It's an Australian Aboriginal perspective of grey owls and what they might signify to some tribes:

Another dreaming is about the Grey Owl, Eerin. He symbolizes the power of the night, mystery and wisdom. Owls are quite often women's totems, (The closest word I can come to to describe what our "Kobongs" are is totem but that's not really an accurate portrayal.) They are a symbol of female energy. (Even though in our Dreaming Eerin is a man.) He was a very good watchman. He lived to an old age and was a highly valued member of the tribe. When he died the elders performed a sacred rite of cutting themselves and letting their blood drip over his body in a giving of their life source as a sign of esteem. They had a great corroboree in his honour. An enemy tribe taking advantage of the distraction crept up on them in
ambush when out of the smoke the tribe heard Eerins warning call and a Grey Owl flying over head.

So Owl can signify issues of protection or imply a threat. Owl can call for the use of watchfulness and silence. This is where there symbolism of wisdom comes from...(Those who listen most and speak less, know more). Owl also symbolizes special talents. Can be a sign of acceptance and recognition of of ones inner most feelings, dreams, and hard work. You say you saw the Owl, there is significance there also. If it was a new moon, he is telling you to expect the emergence of a new phase in your life. During a full moon he symbolizes the fruition or rewards of practicing your talents, of the hard work you have put in to whatever of your life you have been working on. In the dark of the moon, he asking that you take particular notice of your dreams and their abilities to convey sub-conscious issues influencing your life.

I belive that the first one should do, when becoming interested in dreams is to learn to separate different kinds of dreams (or dream components):

* "Flushing" dreaming, that is, some kind of recapitulationing of what happened today...according to some scientists a way for our brains to really store important memories unto the harddrive part of our brains
* Symbolic dreaming (Jung, Freud, Homer a.o.) - where we represent internal processes of the subconcionsness (hard word to spell - especially to a swede like me...) - with archetypes and symbols
* Prophetic dreaming - where we, by luck, or training, are able to connect into things to come
* The truely LUCID dreaming - which is actually an awakening, into another definition of reality - it is a completely different state of concioness. Personally, I believe that Carlos Castaneda's writings has it all nailed into the very foundation. And it also works! It really works - just you try some of the excercises in the books for yourself, then decide.

The last lucid dream I had, I only became lucid at the end. In the dream I was endlessly roaming through the corridors of what I can only describe as a huge Military complex. Whether it was underground or not I do not know, but I was the only one in it, I never came accross another person. As I said, I was roaming through endless corridors until at one point, I became aware I was in a dream and when I came to within the dream I was standing in the middle of a huge corridor stretching endlessly in either direction away from me. The walls of the corridor were ridged, and looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. I had a distinctly uneasy feeling about the place and I wanted to get out of there, so I consciously willed myself to go somewhere else, hoping to stay conscious within the dream state. Everything went gray and then my eyes opened...and I cursed having had a lucid dream and being in such a lousy place for it!

Could it be that life.......... as we know it... is but a lucid dream ... and we are only the dreamer
Awakening hmmmm some would say this is so ............
( the dream of seperation from source awakening to oneness )

That would be just using other words for the holographic universe.
To me dreams are different. Altough one thinks to be in a body, in dreams one is purely spirit. As so it seems because i've never felt physical pain or torment in dreams.
