Dear Avalonians,
My daughter been diagnose with appendicitis. As is normal mainstream medical advised to go for the surgery, to remove a body part that is supposed to have no fucntion. Thats scary. I am appealing to those who have experience or have knowledge in curing such illness using alternative method (without the blade) to share their experience /knowledge. Thanks a lot, julian

I strongly advice you, do not stall the operation. If inflammation goes to perforation, healing gives a headache to the helpers.

... and the afflicted's life potentially becomes at risk. I agree with Tangri. While most ailments are best left to natural medicine -- this is probably not one of them. (PS my career of 15 years is in natural health)

Hello Bubu:
I am glad you decided to go for the removal of the appendix. I can speak from having mine burst while travelling and having to get to a hospital which was 30 miles away. After crawling into the emergency and then having to wait 8 hours before the surgeon would believe my appendix burst was the most excrucitating pain one would like to have!
This happened after 10 years of going to doctors and specialist trying to find out what was wrong with me. Not one doctor ever said it could be my appendix. (Basically they said it was in my head)
Unfortunately I almost died due to the build up of waste in my body.
Instead of 3 small incission marks I have an incission that is 8 inches long and no I didn't have a C section.......
Good luck and please don't treat appendicitis lightly. It can be fatal.

PS Immediately after the operation I felt better than I had for at least 10 years. It was all worth it to get feeling better!

Glad she is fine. This is one of the cases where emergency traditional medecine is required. Although it seems that the appendice has some usefulness, it is not worth dying for. She will be up and running within 2 weeks.

Sometimes the blade is the best option, gangrene and necrosis cannot be healed because the tissue is already dead - it needs to be removed before making the rest of the organism also dead. Glad to hear it went well.

Not even sure how to prevent this type of issue other than clean living, stress free, avoiding known toxins. The appendix has a role, granted, but it's functions can be easily picked up by other organs. Good luck and a speedy recover.
