More than 20 people in Germany have been injured after a man with an axe went
on the rampage on a train, German media report.

A police operation including a helicopter is under way in Heidingsfeld, a part of the city
of Wurzburg in southern Germany.Local media (in German) wrote that 21 people had
been injured and a suspect appeared to have been shot.The train line between
Wurzburg-Heidingsfeld and Ochsenfurt is closed.The German news agency DPA reported
that the police said some of the victims' injuries were life-threatening.

It said police would not comment on reports that the suspect had been shot.

Germany axe attack: Assault on train in Wuerzburg

A teenage Afghan refugee armed with an axe and knife
injured four people on a train in southern Germany before
being shot dead by police, officials say.

Three people were seriously hurt and one suffered minor
injuries in the attack in Wurzburg, police said. Another
14 were treated for shock.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said the
attacker was killed as he tried to flee the scene.

The motive for the attack is not yet clear.

The injured include members of a family from Hong Kong,
authorities there said, although their exact condition was
not revealed.Mr Herrmann said the attacker was a
17-year-old Afghan refugee who had been living in the n
earby town of Ochsenfurt.

He told public broadcaster ARD that the teenager appeared
to have travelled to Germany as an unaccompanied minor.

Mr Herrmann said authorities were looking into reports that
the attacker had yelled out "an exclamation". Some witnesses
quoted by German media said they had heard him shout
"Allahu akbar" ("God is great") during the attack.

an axe.According to German media, the incident took place on a passenger train
near the city of Wuerzburg. Reports say several victims are seriously hurt. The

A hand-painted flag of so-called Islamic State has been found in the
room of an Afghan refugee accused of carrying out an axe and knife
attack on a southern German train, officials say.

The 17-year-old injured four people from Hong Kong, two critically,
in the attack in Wuerzburg on Monday evening. He was shot dead
by police as he fled.

He had shouted Allahu akbar" ("God is great"), a witness said.

The IS-linked Amaq news agency said the teenager was an IS "fighter".

It said he had "carried out the operation in answer to the calls to
target the countries of the coalition fighting the Islamic State".

The attack comes days after a lorry ploughed into a crowd in Nice
in France, killing 84 people. The self-styled Islamic State group
said one of its followers had carried out that attack.

The so-called Islamic State has released a video purporting

What do you make of the fact that so many of these attacks are being carried out by adherents of Islam? I mean that question in all sincerity and openness. My current opinion is that the religion is part of the reason why we are seeing these events, but how much of a contributing factor it is, I do not know. Maybe it is significant, maybe it is negligible or maybe it is not even a factor at all. What I think is happening is that our 'friends upstairs' are acting as opportunists, and are inflaming these distortions, using various methods (i.e. arming/assisting groups and/or individuals), to achieve their goals. Then they use the media to frame things in such a way as to further add fuel to the fire, sowing further discord and division. I don't think that they can create such circumstances out of nothing. I think it is more so a case of our good friends playing on and exacerbating peoples already existing weaknesses and chinks.

There soon won't be an "Islamic State" to play "pin the flag" any more. Considering the circumstances in which so many people are forced to live, violence is an inevitable result. The circumstances that would make you run 4,000 miles alone, as a teenager, are not conducive to peace and tranquility.

Koranic Islam is peaceful and respectable, but most of the gangs rely on the 90% spurious "hadiths" which can be quite ferocious. For which, it was mainly British agitation that fueled Wahabbism for purposes of the Suez Canal and gaining a foot hold in Palestine.
