I have always felt that bitcoin just gives some yet another tool to manipulate money to their pockets. Here is an example:

the WHOLE POINT of bitcoin is NOT to use exchanges like this.. "exchanges" are old school thinking, based on banking systems etc..

bitcoin did not get hacked, a place that stored bitcoin for other people (aka "a bank") got hacked.. .bit coin is basically "unhackable".

so, your theory on it being a tool of manipulation does not fit in this scenario.

i have a little money in bitfinex, its value is in being a trading platform between different cryptocurrencies. Their front line security is pretty good, they have two factor id and other modern features. First thought on this is that the hack is could be a inside job. They may have been doing things with the reserve of clients money that they shouldn't have been.

Hmm maybe this is a report done by CNN to discourage investment in Bitcoins which we know the elites hate ;)

seems like love/hate... I think it's reached the point of un-deniability that it is a superior system of "money"... But if money can't be leveraged as debt,, the mechanism of control since.. for ever... then what will replace it?

1984 or a brave new world?

(I think the latter)

I think either way we are f*cked. Trump and Hillary are the same person under the same hidden hand and curious to see a gash on Bernie Sanders face during his approval of Hillary.

In order to break this system the Americans need to realize that they are being played for fools. We already know Hillary is going to win by cheating and when that happens the reason for having a 33rd Freemason Illuminati (Trump) will become clear. Hint: It wasn't anything to do with fixing America.

Personally I don't don't think enough people are going to realize the truth before it's too late but i really hope they prove me wrong.

to be honest the title is rather misleading. obviously op is reacting to the current information through emotional channels.

Do people that have already invested in a cryptocurrency benefit financially by more people investing in said cryptocurrency? I mean, does the exchange rate increase? If so, that would be one reason for someone that is significantly invested in cryptocurrency to advocate for it.

The value of any currency is invariably linked to a populace's belief in it.

It's all worthless garbage otherwise.

Absolutely, the more demand for an item, the more it's "worth".

there most certainly are a lot of self interested promoters out there, but I think that anyone interested in cryptocurrency is more worried about money manipulation first, self interest second... just due to the nature of the system.

Never a bad idea to look for the motive.

Well, I might deny it :).

One of the 77 tasks on my plate is a paper I am working on, which currently has a working title of "A Radical Rethinking of Blockchains and Digital Contracts: The Distributed Transaction Resolution Protocol".

Unfortunately this present post is just a tease however, as I'm not prepared to fully disclose the matter yet. Keshe followers should understand <grin>.

(Typically I complete about 5 to 10 per-cent of the tasks on my plate ... so don't hold your breath, unless your a blue whale (http://www.whalefacts.org/how-do-blue-whales-breathe/) or some such.)
