Very much off-topic... but I thought they might be appreciated by some.

Really cool Bill. I love the outdoors, camping, hiking stuff like that. I would love to go backpacking like that, you must have some really cool stories.

Is that you in the "Makalu base camp" picture?

Yes - that's me (on the left :) )

We'd just come down from high on the mountain, and were sitting in an improvised stone-built hut at base camp at about 16,000 feet. The guy I'm joking with in the photo was one of our Sherpas.

I've just uploaded another 25 images to the Project Camelot album (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/album.php?u=6). Never before published is this photo of our 'Mr X' (the UFO archivist), who died suddenly almost exactly two years ago today. He was our friend.

Here he is shown (on the left) with Majestic Documents researcher Ryan Wood. They talked for several hours, in considerable depth, about the documents he had personally handled in the secure vault where he had a 6 month assignment in the mid-80s as an archivist of classified government and military documents, photos, videos and artifacts.

He estimated that he was able to examine personally maybe 2% of what he handled - but in a 40 hours a week assignment lasting 6 months, that was quite a lot of material.

What wonderful pictures!

I didn't know we had a photo album feature on Avalon. Maybe if I have some time later this evening, I'll figure this out and share a few pictures and stories.
