Nuclear scientist says that recent earthquakes were started by a space based nuke attack. Purpose- destabilise and impoverish the country to facilitate international finance to steal Ecuadors uranium deposits

From a local 'expert": If one wants to believe this crap, go ahead. The main quake of 7.8 near, not on, the coast of Ecuador was a normal quake. Why? It was preceded by a number of anti-quakes up to over 5 in Richter Scale intensity. Were it a nuclear blast it would have been one ker-whoom. There is NO radiation poisoning at all in Ecuador, period, anything to the contrary is a pure lie. I graduated from the chemical/biological/radiological warfare school at Ft. Benning GA in the sixties and later in civilian life qualified for 2 Civil Defense Radiological Monitoring certificates and own a $700 very very sensitive S.E. International Geiger counter and weekly monitor our background radiation here in southern Ecuador, Cuenca. There are radiation monitor stations all over Ecuador and none registered any difference at all in background radiation. None.
Expert in nuclear physics and nuclear medicine (http://www.zengardner.com/ecuador-nuclear-attack-caused-april-earthquakes-according-expert/) James M. McCanney (http://2012hoax.wikidot.com/james-mccanney/noredirect/true)

What really irks me is that, like many before him, he scares people for a living. He says that the government is hiding all kinds of data (for which he has no evidence), he says NASA is lying to you (for which he makes up evidence), he says that disaster from the sky is looming just around the corner (so you'd better buy his book to find out what to do). He says all this, and much more, to scare people into believing him [...] I prefer to stick with facts, and evidence, and critical thinking, and good old plain and simple horse sense. And my horse sense (and all the others) tell me that McCanney is wrong. (source (http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/mccanney/conclusions.html))

IMF approves $364 million post-quake Ecuador loan

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved a loan of about $364 million for Ecuador following a devastating earthquake in April that left almost 700 dead, thousands homeless and caused significant damage to infrastructure.

The government of Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa, who has historically been a harsh critic of multilateral lending agencies, had said in April that it was in talks with the IMF.

"The financial support will help the country meet an urgent need for balance of payments caused by the earthquake of April 16," said Luca Ricci, head of the IMF mission to Ecuador, in a conference call on Friday.

The loan, which was granted through a program known as the rapid financing instrument, will have a variable interest rate of 1.1 percent per annum and a term up to 5 years with a grace period of 39 months.

Ricci said local authorities had committed "to reprogram priorities for capital expenditures and suspend low priority projects not related to reconstruction" if necessary.

Ecuador has said it will need some $3.3 billion dollars for reconstruction, which it plans to finance through a combination of funding sources including the IMF loan and a temporary tax increase.

Russia, Ecuador strike deal on nuclear power cooperation, including uranium mining
Russia and Ecuador have signed a memorandum on civilian nuclear power cooperation, a spokesman from Russia's state-controlled civilian nuclear power corporation Rosatom told RIA Novosti on Friday (Aug. 21). The memorandum between Rosatom and Ecuador's Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy includes cooperation in geological research and development of uranium fields, as well as projecting and building nuclear power plants and research reactors. Cooperation would also involve nuclear fuel production and developing the legal framework for Ecuador's nuclear sector. (RIA Novosti Aug. 21, 2009)
IAEA to assist Ecuador with uranium exploration
The International Atomic Energy Agency will help Ecuador explore for uranium and study the possibility of developing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, its director said Tuesday. Mohamed ElBaradei said the Vienna-based U.N. agency has included Ecuador in "a regional uranium exploration project" as the Andean nation seeks energy security through the development of alternative energy sources. This is first time I saw this story. If there was a really another cause behind that event, I am surprised. I found out that this is a valuable information. People thought that it was a natural cause. Most earthquakes happen (http://www.whatcausesearthquakes.com/where-do-most-earthquakes-occur.htm) because of earth's plate called tectonic plates. If it was probably something related with national defence, like North Korea who has the nuclear weapons.
