Hi All Avalonians, Guests,

Very difficult to swallow the comments made lately by mentor and former Senior Advisor to the Canadian Prime Minister Harper. Here is what he said (http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=22302) in an interview in CBC Television’s national political analysis program, Power and Politics with Evan Solomon.

"Tom Flanagan, University of Calgary political science professor, right-wing pundit, and mentor and former senior advisor to Prime Minister Harper, has earned himself more international media attention during the past week than even he may have an appetite for.

On November 30th, Flanagan spoke as one of the regular panelists on CBC Television’s national political analysis program, Power and Politics with Evan Solomon. Staring into the camera, while across the bottom of the television screen there appeared a banner reading "WIKILEAKS LATEST: New document mentions PM Stephen Harper," Flanagan had this to say about Julian Assange, the founder and editor of Wikileaks:

"Well, I think Assange should be assassinated, actually. I think Obama should put out a contract and maybe use a drone or something."

All the pain, tribulations, difficulties that democracy (system we live in) has to maintain it' legitimacy, and prominent personality (and he represents the University of Calgary as a Political Science professor) can swiped it out when it doesn't fit in with their views of democracy...!

All my blessings.

Or the law can be changed at the drop of a hat to justify the actions of the very few, i.e. Professor Yoo/the Bush II torture doctrine

Well, this is what you get when government thinks it allows you certain things.

This sort of goes hand in hand with a government that reminds you how safe it is keeping you from the consequence of its actions.

That begs for questions :
- what is law and who do it serve (theory against observable reality?)
- how our belief in law influences reality
- who profits from oh-so-common belief of irreplaceability of government

It speaks volumes of the elite how far they will go to suppress those who are threats to their agenda or who expose them to the public.

Expect the masses to continue to rise. We see it in Europe with Greece and in England with the latest protests by students who are angered by the latest tuition increase. These are all mild. Wait until the food riots start.

Sadly, as far as I see it , those "riots" are part of agenda.
They are providing an excuse for even more clampdown, while not providing ANY positive alternative.
Being right for all the wrong reasons is not way to go.

Thanks Luke,

It could very well be that the "riots" are part of the agenda, hope that we somehow may make a difference.

All my blessings.
