Over the past several days Saudi Arabia's brutal war against Yemen has
taken an even more grim turn, as hospitals and schools have been hit.
US weapons sales to the Saudis provide the firepower that kills Yemeni
civilians. The military-industrial complex profits. And Saudi Arabia's
strongest ally in Yemen? al-Qaeda.

‘At least eight Yemeni civilians have lost their lives as Saudi warplanes ramp up
airstrikes against the capital, Sana’a, and other cities in the neighboring state.
Local Yemeni media reports said on Friday that five people, including three children,
were killed in the latest Saudi air raid on the Baqim district in the northern province
of Sa’ada.Another Saudi airstrike on a residential area in al-Maton district of
northern al-Jawf Province left a woman dead. Saudi jets also targeted a car in the
same region, killing two civilians and injuring several others.’

War ...
There's plenty of blame to go around here ...
Though this story has a life affirming ending.
Children of Aleppo: the baby born in a barrel bomb attack
Warning: this film contains graphic and distressing scenes inside the operating theatre.
The film-maker Waad Al Katib is in Aleppo, to document the suffering of its people caught up in the siege and under regular bombardment.
This film focuses on one woman - Mayissa - who, at nine months' pregnant, was injured in one of those airstrikes. But it features, too, the phenomenal dedication and skill of the ill-equipped doctors and nurses in the city's hospitals - who battle to save both her, and her baby's life.

The term “Collateral Damage” does have a different meaning when you see pictures such as the children who have been hurt during the bombing of war. I saw the picture in the video this morning.
The only thing I can do is pray and this does not give me any relief to the sadness. My hope is that the pain being experienced by the children cause a change in thinking.
My prayers go out for the victims of war and I ask that you join me.
