The 3 tramps

I've long been intrigued by the so called 3 tramps. Seems to be varying opinions on their identities from Gus Abrams, Harold Doyle, and John Gedney....to Chauncey Holt, Charles Harrelson (Woody's father) and Charles Rogers...to Sturgis, Hunt and Carswell. I don't know much about the tramps, other than they were picked up after the shooting and later released. Are they important to the JFK assassination?? And if so, who were they??
