2016 North Korean nuclear test - Published on Jan 14, 2016
North Korea conducted its fourth nuclear detonation on 6 January 2016 at 10:00:01 UTC+08:30. At the Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site, approximately 50 kilometres (30 miles) northwest of Kilju City in Kilju County, an underground nuclear test was carried out. The United States Geological Service reported a 5.1 magnitude earthquake from the location; the China Earthquake Networks Center reported the magnitude as 4.9.

North Korean media made announcements that the regime had successfully tested a hydrogen bomb. However third-party experts—as well as officials and agencies in South Korea—doubted North Korea's claims and contend that the device was more likely to have been a fission bomb such as a boosted fission weapon. Such weapons use hydrogen fusion to produce smaller, lighter warheads suitable for arming a delivery device such as a missile, rather than to attain the destructive power of a true hydrogen bomb.

North Korea's 'biggest' nuclear test sparks global outrage

World leaders have reacted with anger after North Korea carried out its fifth and reportedly biggest nuclear test.
The South accused the North's leader Kim Jong-un of "maniacal recklessness".
China "firmly opposed" the test, Japan "protested adamantly" and the US warned
of "serious consequences". The UN Security Council will meet later behind closed
doors to discuss the issue.
Such nuclear tests are banned by the UN but this is North Korea's second this year.
Kim Jong-un's rhetoric has also become increasingly aggressive, analysts say.

This sad event demonstrates several points:
1) the North Korean leadership are psychopaths with a death wish.
2) American foreign policy is so untrustworthy that the moderates in North Koreans have no options.
3) China is using NK to jab at the west. My guess is the chinese could shut these clowns down in 30 seconds if they wanted to. NK has no need to develop nuclear weapons with china next door backing them up (much as Canada does with the US).
4) the NK regime are not concerned about feeding and caring for their people, rather they spend their meagre resources on useless fear mongering that most dont take seriously anyway.

Sad , they dont know the true effects to our mother earth , setting of nuclear bonbs ... some particles have a half life of 20,000 years ... radiation can hang around for a very long time, burning holes in the ozone, causing birth defects, contaminating the water, the air, the land ... our ET friends say we should abandon using nuclear right now ... the tests conducted in the 40s-50s are causing climate change nowdays , those maniacs are corrupting the future of the children of the future ... and you wonder why ETs hide from earth humans ??? Insanity ...

I was asking someone today what can be done with North Korea and his response was, "nothing it's too late." We citizens should be keeping on this subject and not let the media drop the ball. How can we pretend and hide our heads in the sand and demand our political leaders provide a solution.
