‘October Surprise’? Wikileaks’ Assange Plans Tuesday Video Appearance After First Canceling Due to ‘Security Concerns’

12:56 pm, October 2, 2016

UPDATED: After canceling a planned announcement in London, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is now planning to appear via video link Tuesday morning at Wikileak’s tenth anniversary celebration in Berlin. He’s a last-minute addition to the roster of festivities taking place this week in Germany.

Wikileaks used its Facebook page to confirm that Assange would speak at the event, which takes place at 3am Eastern time.

Sources close to the event tell Heat Street that Assange may be planning to release some new information his organization has obtained about the U.S. Democratic Party. But Heat Street has yet to receive independent confirmation that Assange plans to dump information specifically on Hillary Clinton.

The news that Assange plans to appear (remotely) in Berlin comes after Wikileaks abruptly canceled a much-anticipated announcement in London that was to be made from the balcony of London’s Ecuadorian Embassy, where Assange has sought sanctuary for years. The cancelation was first reported by NBC News. According to NBC’s Jesse Rodriguez, the announcement was canceled due to “security concerns”.

There had been widespread anticipating that Tuesday’s announcement might have been Assange’s long-promised document dump on Hillary Clinton.

I am not sure if this actually means a delay in the leaks. Julian Assange was going to speak from a balcony of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London because it is the 10th Anniversary of Wikileaks, not necessarily to leak data. And yes, this appearance is being cancelled for security reasons.

He did promise in August that there would be a major leak of Hillary Clinton related material, and that this would come before the September 26th debate. Looks like that didn't happen. The actual leak will happen on a computer website in Sweden , not in London, and as far as I know, that is still scheduled for tomorrow, October 4th.

One can only wonder which card the media will play to misdirect and misinform us. Do they ignore that fact and the evidence that Hillary has done bad things and focus on speculation without a shred of evidence that Vladimir Putin is behind the leaks of doing bad things? Do they create another news story so big that this one is just considered a footnote? Will that story involve the Kardashians, Deutsche Bank or another terrorist attack?

I hope and pray that this information is actually released, it shows us much about what really happens behind closed doors in politics and military operations.

A wiki "leak", usually is done via web pages and not in public display on a balcony. ;)

And another story in Clinton - Assange relations from Russia Today:

Hillary Clinton considered drone attack on Julian Assange - report
https://www.rt.com/usa/361459-secretary-clinton-drone-assange/ (https://www.rt.com/usa/361459-secretary-clinton-drone-assange/)

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton reportedly wanted to drone Wikileaks founder Julian Assange when she was secretary of state.

According to True Pundit, Clinton and the state department were under pressure to silence Assange and Wikileaks in the months before the whistleblowing site released a massive dump of 250,000 diplomatic cables from 1966 up to 2010, dubbed CableGate.

“Can’t we just drone this guy?” Clinton asked, according to unidentified state department sources.

Clinton and the state department held numerous meetings to discuss what could be done about Assange and his site which had already exposed damning military secrets about the war in Afghanistan and Iraq before the promised document dump was to come. The department was under pressure from both the White House and foreign governments to silence Wikileaks.

True Pundit reports the people in the room with Clinton on November 23, 2010 laughed at her comment, until it became clear that the then-secretary of state was serious. Clinton was reportedly fuming and referred to Assange as a “soft target.”

After Clinton’s drone suggestion, the state department considered offering a reward to anyone whose help secured the Australian journalist’s capture and extradition to the US. Unnamed sources reported a $10 million price was discussed at the meeting.

Following the meeting, Clinton aide Ann-Marie Slaughter emailed Clinton and aides Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin and Jake Sullivan with the subject, "RE an SP memo on possible legal and nonlegal strategies re Wikileaks."

The email contained an attachment "SP Wikileaks doc final11.23.10.docx." which has not been found by federal investigators investigating Clinton’s use of a private email server. Wikileaks itself does not have this attachment.

Five days after the meeting, Wikileaks began releasing the CableGate files, on November 28, 2010.

Sources familiar with the meeting claim they were reminded of Clinton’s penchant for discussing droning enemies following the release of the FBI’s report on the Clinton email investigation, according to True Pundit.

The FBI’s notes on Clinton’s interview during the investigation referred to Clinton having “many discussions” about “nominating” droning individuals.

“Clinton could not recall a specific process for nominating a target for a drone strike and recalled much debate pertaining to the concurrence process. Clinton knew there was a role for DOD, State and the CIA but could not provide specifics as to what it was. Due to a disagreement between these agencies, Clinton recalled having many discussions related to nominating an individual for a drone strike,” the report reads.

Assange was set to make a big announcement at the Ecuadorian embassy in London on Tuesday where he has been trapped for five years, but cancelled in light of security concerns.

The teased leak, dubbed an “October Surprise” is thought to be damaging for Clinton before the presidential elections in November.

The announcement will now be made at Wikileaks’ 10-year anniversary celebration in Berlin on Tuesday. Assange will address the event via video leak.

Yes, there will be announcement tomorrow morning, in Berlin, in the morning. According to Fox News, that is 3 a.m. Eastern Time. That only leaves me a little more than 9 hours to prepare for the festivities!!!

Julian Assange canceled a dramatic London balcony address on Tuesday in favor of a video presentation in Berlin after WikiLeaks developed "specific information" regarding Assange's safety, the leaked emails clearinghouse tweeted on Monday afternoon.

Some believe the video announcement by the WikiLeaks founder could be an "October surprise" geared towards the U.S. presidential election.
...

Assange, 45, who has lived in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London for five years as officials in Sweden have sought him on criminal charges, is set to address supporters in Berlin via a video link at 3 a.m. ET.

Julian Assange, in his video speech to the 10th Anniversary Wikileaks conference in Germany, announced that he was not announcing anything at this time ... and he tweated that " Regarding upcoming publications... We hope to be publishing every week for the next 10 weeks"

... nothing :)

Alex Jones was (still is) up, in the middle of the night here in Texas, pissed at Julian Assange for trolling us all, with expectations of a big leak ... then nothing.

Sorcha Faal has his own take on this non-event - saying that "Wikileaks was planning on releasing tomorrow were a series of 2015 email “exchanges” (chains) between top Hillary Clinton operatives and Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) detailing a plot to destroy a London optometrist (Honey Rose) who refused to give up her records relating to her treatment of the former US Secretary of State", but then Assange/Wikileaks backed off this release due "to their receiving a “dire threat” that should they do so, all top officials of this whistle blowing organization would be charged with major crimes in the United States and be swiftly extradited there by the European Union."

Whatever ... you can read the rest of this Sorcha Faal report at: http://theunhivedmind.com/wordpress4/wikileaks-under-dire-threat-over-proof-hillary-clinton-destroyed-eye-doctor-to-hide-brain-trauma/

Misdirection is a form of deception in which the attention of an audience is focused on one thing in order to distract its attention from another. Managing the audience's attention is the aim of all theater, it is the foremost requirement of theatrical magic.

Julian Assange Disappoints, Fails To Reveal Material Information At Wikileaks 10th Anniversary Press Conference

Update 2: In what appears to be a disappointment for anyone hoping for "devastating" disclosures, Julian Assang did not disclose anything at today's press conference. Instead, Assange once again promised that publications will continue even if he would have to resign. He said WikiLeaks will release US election documents before November 8.

Assange said that "we hope to be publishing every week for the next 10 weeks. We have on schedule, and it's a very hard schedule, all the US election-related documents to come out before November 8" adding that "Upcoming series include significant material on war, on arms, on oil, on Google, on the US election," he said via video linkup from the Ecuadorian embassy.

Assange also said there had been a lot of misquoting which suggested WikiLeaks was going to harm the US presidential election. Which may be because he himself laid the media on in that direction.

Needless to say, anyone hoping for a shock out of Wikileaks today will be disappointed.

* * *

Update: so far there has been no notable revelations in what has been mostly a trip down Wikileaks' 10 year memory lane, aside from Assange noting that "We hope to be publishing every week for the next 10 weeks" with materials covering, among other things, the US election.

#Assange: Regarding upcoming publications... We hope to be publishing every week for the next 10 weeks. #wikileaks10

I am not surprised that Julian Assange is playing it cool.............

After all, this is Hillary Clinton we are talking about.

From True Pundit: http://truepundit.com/under-intense-pressure-to-silence-wikileaks-secretary-of-state-hillary-clinton-proposed-drone-strike-on-julian-assange/

Clinton’s State Department was getting pressure from President Obama and his White House inner circle, as well as heads of state internationally, to try and cutoff Assange’s delivery of the cables and if that effort failed, then to forge a strategy to minimize the administration’s public embarrassment over the contents of the cables. Hence, Clinton’s early morning November meeting of State’s top brass who floated various proposals to stop, slow or spin the Wikileaks contamination. That is when a frustrated Clinton, sources said, at some point blurted out a controversial query.

“Can’t we just drone this guy?” Clinton openly inquired, offering a simple remedy to silence Assange and smother Wikileaks via a planned military drone strike, according to State Department sources. The statement drew laughter from the room which quickly died off when the Secretary kept talking in a terse manner, sources said. Clinton said Assange, after all, was a relatively soft target, “walking around” freely and thumbing his nose without any fear of reprisals from the United States. Clinton was upset about Assange’s previous 2010 records releases, divulging secret U.S. documents about the war in Afghanistan in July and the war in Iraq just a month earlier in October, sources said. At that time in 2010, Assange was relatively free and not living cloistered in in the embassy of Ecuador in London.

Following Clinton’s alleged drone proposal, another controversial remedy was floated in the State Department to place a reward or bounty for Assange’s capture and extradition to the United States, sources said. Numbers were discussed in the realm of a $10 million bounty. A State Department source described that staff meeting as bizarre. One minute staffers were inquiring about the Secretary’s blue and black checkered knit sweater and the next minute, the room was discussing the legalities of a drone strike on Assange and financial bounties, sources said.

Immediately following the conclusion of the wild brainstorming session, one of Clinton’s top aides, State Department Director of Policy Planning Ann-Marie Slaughter, penned an email to Clinton, Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, and aides Huma Abebin and Jacob Sullivan at 10:29 a.m. entitled “an SP memo on possible legal and nonlegal strategies re Wikileaks.”

Assange: WikiLeaks to release all US election docs by Nov. 8

WikiLeaks will release documents on the US presidential elections before
November 8, the group’s founder, Julian Assange, said in an eagerly
anticipated address via videolink at the Volksbuhne Theater in Berlin

Assange has always been a part of the wrecking crew for the NWO, in my opinion. In the past ten years wikileaks has been demolishing national governments, the first stage of any redevelopment project is to clear the site.

I think Alex Jones has hit the nail square on. The power behind Clinton has taken the initiative and jumped the game. While Assange was sweating over his upcoming situation if Hilary wins, her backers have turned his dilemma around. Instead of worrying about being locked up under Hilary, he's probably been offered something even better than he'd have got under Trump.

A promise of a free pass out of the Embassy to a 'safe' place far away ?

I won't be shocked if they double cross him on the plane though.

Isn't that woman in the video ( with the mic ) the same one who accompanied Snowden out of Hong Kong into Russia where the US promptly cancelled Snowden's passport ?

My hat will go off, big time, to the first person who can write the true history of all these shenanigans. It's a hornet's nest.

I think they are going to wait until Hillary wins and then release any new info. They are trying to arrange thins so she will win and defeat Trump then they release the new damaging information. According to Luke Rudowski at We Are Change Infowars was the only one hyping this and did not even investigate others claims that info would be released the other day. So it looks to me as if Wikileaks is getting even more political than usual and are attempting to manipulate the U.S. elections to their satisfaction. I am glad they are exposing corruption but they should release what they get when they get it and refrain from trying to affect the political landscape.
