A French environmentalist and deputy at the European parliament, José Bové, who is -against globalisation, is banned from entering Canada, He was to give speech against Free Trade agreements between Canada and the European Union.

He had been invited by many organisations namely the Farmer's union, a worker's union CSN, and more.

The pretense used to ban him was that he participated to the destruction of a McDonald restaurant 17 years ago in France and he has destroyed a GMO corn field.

He says that the Free Trade agreement is jeorpadizing small farmers in both sides of hte Atlantic and favours industrial farming.

Well, Canada is now well entrenched in the global take over of free speech and crushing talks and protest against official governements policies.

No protest, no free speech, this means no possibilities for the regular folks to get organised and provoke changes for the advancement of society for the good of all.

This is truly scary.

I wonder if the banning of his entry was the damage to the GMO corn field itself and the other things just tagged on? We know that Monsanto has a lot of influence and is pushing it's agenda everywhere it can. Farmers in the prairies have a big fight on their hands. Although I have not read anything myself yet on José Bové, but Monsanto would not want anyone to speak up about what they are doing.

Canada has changed a lot over the past 10 - 20 years. People in Canada are known to be polite, but have always stepped up when necessary. The dumbing down of the population is becoming very evident.

Canada used to be the place where people like José Bové would be welcomed and heard. People need to wake up and speak out!

It seems that just shaking a stick at the status quo is enough to send the forked-tongue vipers hissing all around: 9/11 researcher Anthony Hall suspended without pay from University of Lethbridge (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?93791-9-11-researcher-Anthony-Hall-suspended-without-pay-from-University-of-Lethbridge)

Well, finally it made such an uproar that he was admitted for a week in Canada, enough to give his speeches as an invitee. The customs guys must have followed their mandate to the letter and oops.... the minister calls!

It just tells you however how our freedom of speech and our freedom period is fragile at this present time.
