(ANSA) - Rome, October 14 - Father Arturo Sosa Abascal, a 68-year-old Venezuelan, on Friday was elected superior general of the Society of Jesus at the 36th general congregation of the Society of Jesus in Rome.

The 30th successor of Jesuit founder St Ignatius of Loyola succeeds Father Adolfo Nicolas, a Spanish priest who resigned this month aged 80.

Pope Francis was the first to be informed of the appointment, as customary.

Sosa Abascal is the Jesuits' first non-European leader in the congregation's nearly 500-year-long history and the first superior general to be elected under a Jesuit pope.

Both the superior general and the pontiff are Latin-American.

The Jesuit leader is nicknamed the Black Pope due to his simple black priest's vestments.

According to the book 'Rulers of Evil' by Tupper Saussy:

"The Superior General (top of the Jesuits) equal status with the pope, advantaged by an obscurity that renders him virtually invisible, is why the commander-in-chief of the Society of Jesus has always been called Papa Nero, the Black Pope."

By the way, this is an excellent book on the Jesuits if you can find a copy. It has been prevented from being reprinted.

The current Pope, Pope Francis, is a Jesuit, yes. That is publicly acknowledged (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Francis). He is the first Jesuit to be Pope (or so we're told.)

However if it was tradition for the Jesuits to inform the Pope first of a enw leader, that would mean that even earlier, non-Jesuit, Popes were so informed.

I have been immersed in the 13th to 17th century enough, but having read all over 300 pages, the Jesuits exist today, their 'goal' is still fascinating, however they are inextricably linked to 'frere macons' = freemasons, whose goal is to get the most out of materialism, benefit from each other, ignore the poor and denegrate those who weren't 'worthy'. Corruption and blackmail is still prevalent, just look at the MSM today, watch the televised theatrical joustings of those puppets of a sick regime, and the subterfuge of war sneakily happening to deliberately trash our economies. We must stop war with Russia at any cost, as we know who the perpetratrors are, who pays the 'piper', enough is enough.

why did the previous one resign?

He announced his resignation to the Jesuits in 2014 and gave no reason other than his age (would have turned 80 this year). His announcement is in the video below.

I prefer paper versions, a tip for purchasing books like this is to check eBay. I have a first printing, first edition of Rand's Atlas Shrugged which cost only $100 because it doesn't have its dust cover, there is writing inside the cover from when it was gifted to a "Vernon with love from Jane - 1957" and a little highlighting in the book (very little). You can pay $7,500 for the same version in perfect condition (some not even perfect, close). I can't see any cheap copies of Rulers Of Evil on eBay at the moment but it's a good option to keep in mind for paper book lovers.

I noticed Amazon has the kindle version for less than $8.00.

I had the thought that the "Black Pope" would be the same person until their death and passed the title to the 'heir', whomever that may be. Kind of like the Queen of England. I never imagined the real Black Pope would be known to the public. Not ever UNLESS....the time is right for the FINAL take down, take-over of the worlds people.

Should anything happen to Mrs. Clinton, if she is elected, the US would have a Jesuit President. How convenient as the church lady used to say.

I find Rulers Of Evil to be one of the most thoroughly and carefully researched treatises on the Jesuits I have ever read. As a consequence, I would never trust anything any Jesuit ever said or did. Any organization or institution that demands total, unquestioning obedience to its leader -- or any other human being -- is destined to receive some very painful karmic lessons in bypassing the intuitive inner guidance of their own soul and heart. Accepting without question that "the end justifies the means" as a requisite Jesuit oath is an alarm bell that should cause any Jesuit candidate to make a hasty retreat from the nearest exit.

And now we have two Jesuit Popes -- a black one and a white one! Beware, Planet Earth!

In the catholic world, all people of power are Jesuit trained. Of course, they are all men as well.

All the old politicians of my province, which was as catholic 60 years ago as fundamentalist Muslims are Muslims now, all our politicians were Jesuit trained - the reputation of their schools were exceptional and the networking of jesuit students was extraordinary. And of course, money was flowing with donations to the schools. The Jesuits trained about any boys towards all the liberal professions (medecine, law, etc) while the English schools would train in business. This was true in the catholic France (it is now basically Muslim France), true in most catholic countries (South America at large).

So, Pierre Trudeau was Jesuit trained, his son, Justin comes from a protestant/jesuit background, René Lévesque, the separatist Quebec prime minister (our governor) was Jesuit trained, etc. And Biden, and Tim kaine, etc. Now tell me that America or Canada are not in part non secular.

Karma is just momentum, so--I can believe the bowling ball won't smash my toe when I drop it, all that I want to.

I would venture this is not just a Catholic thing either--I believe that they operate through agents called Co-adjutors, non-priests, such as the captain of the Titanic, who essentially assassinated John Astor, Ira Guggenheim, and one other wealthy person, who were opposed to the Federal Reserve.

They can pose as, or infiltrate, anything, or create it, such as Protestantism (of some kinds), and some of the New Age stuff. Education and Medicine are pretty much in their pockets. While there are various Catholic missions that are truly helpful, this establishes a good PR front for the order of Loyola to lurk behind.

When the Jesuit order was suppressed, they were allowed to continue operating in Russia: mostly just because the Russians like universities. Aside from that, no, I don't think they have much there. The places that would have allied against their overall scheme in the late 1700s would have been U. S., France, Russia--all three places got knocked off their feet, but, at this time, it looks like Russia is the one resuming its national identity. Jesuits hate nationalism.

The Knights of Malta were militarily finished in the early 1700s; that's why they left Malta. Although they continue to exist as a "sovereign without territory", I am still curious as to their actual capabilities.

To an extent, Jesuits exercise some direct control over a lot of things, but perhaps their greatest danger is thought control--when you define the vocabulary and all of the knowable concepts, that's a really powerful tool. Allopathic medicine is a huge example of this.

Jesuits certainly do not control all secret societies through freemasonry, in fact many Masons have been their biggest enemies, such as Marquis de Lafayette. Phelps has a penchant for overstatement. A lot of what he is saying is on the right track, but when it gets to blanket terms like "all" and "control", it gets murky.

Well, yes, I've been saying that all my life, as well as Marquis de Lafayette and most of the European governments which kicked them out in the 1700s. Once you get the hang of the Jesuit thing, it becomes pretty clear; Knights of Malta are a little harder to see in action, although once they were a powerful military force, they certainly have not been, since defeated on Malta. Of course, their membership is not exactly drawn from peons.

Look at the Jesuit Reductions of Paraguay and how that led to opportunities for the Unification Church and human trafficking, etc., their actions are about as international as they can possibly make them. However, the Jesuits are much like the CIA: both groups are perfectly capable of failure. Neither one controls all sides of everything. They try, and controlled opposition is in their arsenal, but for example: Sun Yat-sen and the original KMT found the Manchus in collusion with Western imperialism, that's what they fought against. Jesuits hate nationalism--if they can't melt China with money, manipulation, etc., and a defiant Chinese pride successfully kills off their influence--they're gone. Self-guided integrity defeats those scoundrels; unfortunately, it's not a very common quality, as you pretty much have to be willing to risk your life to pull it off.
