Noted in the case of both "real" witnesses was that they both had aquiline noses and very narrow lips; both their parents worked with the government, one in the aircraft industry. The inner earth people have all sorts of advanced anti-gravity space ships. So do aliens living between the two surfaces of the earth. In addition, we now know that the government has had an active outer space program interactive with a great many other space-going civilizations. They reportedly have the ability to reverse both ageing and memory, stealing the labor of young men to work as slaves for them. The active agents of this horror are the Nazis from WWII. Since they obviously did not find anything else among the trees, we are left to think that they were observing and examining the people who saw the sightings.
