View Full Version : Strange Bouts of Vertigo and Dizziness

I am wondering if others are experiencing episodes of vertigo and dizziness. I have had five major bouts since 2012 -- major for me as I have never had anything like this in the past -- and a minor one this October. I went into the ER the first three times this happened to me and nothing was found despite the large number of tests they ran on me including a Holter monitor. In fact, I was considered to be very healthy.

I began to wonder if it was a sensitivity to electromagnetic pulses. The fifth attack happened in a park. By this time, I was certain that some sort of transmitter was getting me. I looked around, and sure enough not fifteen feet from where the world begin to dip back and forth and my legs turn to jelly was a transmitter on top of a city water well.

I thought I was clear of these episodes when last month (October 2016) I had a smallish one. I was sitting down when it happened and the vertigo didn't last very long. When it was over, I slept for three hours.

I have come to realize that I am sensitive to cell phones and don't own one. I can often feel them receiving or transmitting data, like a knife passing through my temple into my brain so think that this vertigo might be related to transmitted data packets or whatever they are.

I also had a strange experience when close to a microwave tower. I had the sensation of something gripping the back of my head and neck very tightly.

As doctors can find nothing wrong with me, I am left to try and diagnose this strange and inconvenient issue. I am wondering if anybody else has had this happen to them and if they have figured out what is causing it.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor.

I have and do suffer from this and have for many years. You may have meniere's disease, or a precursor to it. This is an inner ear condition that deals with balance and perception. Do you have ringing in one or both ears? Do you or have you had frequent ear infections? Hearing loss?

An over the counter non addictive medicine called meclizine, a motion sickness preventive, can treat and alleviate symptoms of dizziness, vertigo, nausea etc... Not a cure, a form of relief only. I take 1/2 a pill per day in the morning. It really does help. Also, for a natural approach, avoid spinning, rapidly turning your head, bending over from the head to toe rather then bending at the knees. Also, minimize or avoid watching any flickering video such as TV and what I am doing right now by being on this computer. In other words develop strategies to minimize stimuli that triggers your symptoms.

Sorry to hear about this, OP. . . I get similar "attacks", where the world seems to slip off to one side (don't know how to describe it!) & both ears ring, but with different tones & intensities. . .often it sounds like an orchestra tuning up. I can't stand near microwave ovens or talk for long on a mobile phone, as it feels like a red hot expanding point deep in my head.

If it happens at home, I sort of "challenge" it, lie down & just let the sensations come & go as they will. So far, nothing further has happened, apart from a sense that I (as spirit) am moving inside my own stationary body; am planning to see if I can "ride" out of body on the sounds next time. I don't know what it is, but I hope to be able to make some sort of use of it - btw, I suffer from hemiplegic migraines (paralysis down one side of the body) & have to take meds to control the symptoms, which come on very suddenly if I am even an hour late in taking the meds so I suppose it could be related to that.

In my case, I don't believe there is any sort of malevolent agenda coming from outside - it's just my brain & nervous system which seem to be over-sensitive to electronics; perhaps you are the same.

I get dizziness and ringing in the ears, Satori hit the nail on the head with inner ear condition. I had to go home from work with dizziness, but I had been running around the factory like an idiot..

You might find it silly, but I get these very often like now when I'm sensing that there is an earthquake coming somewhere in the world, usually the ones I'm sensing are at least M6 quakes. They send some kind of waves which sensitive people are able to pick up with their senses, especially if they have problems with their immune system. The waves disrupt the sense of balance and it creates vertigo and dizziness. Same effect if you were in the ocean and the waves would do that to you, except that these waves you can't see with your eyes so it confuses your brain.

Hi Avalon: I suffered Meniere's disease years ago and it was bad. I used to woke up in the middle of the night and everything was spinning like crazy, the ceiling, curtains, lamps, etc. I really thought I was losing my mind until I overheard someone talking about this "disease" and a Dr. confirmed the diagnosis. Among other things it wasn't called a disease, its name was Meniere's Syndrome but now is a disease. It was a very stressful time in my life that caused this along with severe Lumbar Scoliosis. I have posted before how I got rid of both out of desperation one night when i just decided (on my knees and crying rivers) to stop struggling with life and just allowing God to take charge of everything that was going on, surrendering to (his, her) will unconditionally and accepting whatever was coming in my life. From that day on until today 20 years later this ailments never came back in my life, not just once. My spine got straight, pain went away and dizziness too. One of many miracles in my life. Hope this helps.

I wondered if it might be inner ear problems. I have to say, I never get ringing in an ear unless I am about to have a migraine and since I learned what causes those, I rarely have them any more. I will look into meclizine, although I might not be able to get it in my country. It is weird how down south where they are said to be clamping down on or restricting medical potions, there still seems to be a better range available than here in the north. For example, I use 10,000 iu D3 and have to go to the States for it as I can only get it in 1,000 iu. Also, taking L-Tryptophan before bed and have to order it from down south to get 500 mg as I can only get 220 mg up here. I know somebody who uses a growth hormone that is forbidden up here so they have to go south with empty multi-vitamin bottles and fill them with DHEA so that they won't lose it at the border.

I thought, also, that some of this vertigo might be due to dirty electricity. After the initial research, I wired my Internet and that seemed to help. As I mentioned, I am very sensitive to cell phones. Also, when I was working, they couldn't put me at a certain till which was very close to the store's WiFi because I twice became very dizzy at that till. I learned that another cashier experienced the same thing when she worked that specific till. The whole issue began after they surrounded me with Dumb meters. Before that, I had been fine. I refused the Dumb meter, protected mine with cable, and still have a radio-free meter.

This is interesting in that I overheard a Native man saying that his sons can hear earthquakes. They heard the large quake off the Queen Charlottes and we live very well south of that and I didn't feel it. I wonder if it is an electro-magnetic thing. I often listen to SuspiciousOberservers on Youtube and they are seeing a pattern between violent weather, earthquakes, and sun-produced electromagnetics.

I had a very intense episode of ringing in the ears some months ago, (left ear only). I intuitively felt that this was in fact a "gift" of sorts, but I confess I am not sure- when it became very noticeable I would command the source to stop-((no words were spoken just a silent head voice command) and believe it or not it would stop immediately! So because of this cooperation I accepted the intrusion- I will say it came over as some sort of Morse code or fax type download but much quieter, It no longer occurs so I guess I am programmed. :)

Yes: a quick note about this, which may be interesting. After the huge earthquake and tsunami near the Indonesian coast in Dec 2004, Indian Army helicopter pilots reached the nearby Andaman Islands a few days later, fully expecting to encounter hundreds, if not thousands, of deaths and casualties.

But the Andaman Islanders, who are an Earth-connected indigenous people, as Native Americans are, had all anticipated the tsunami, and -- like the animals -- had retreated to high ground before it reached them.

I have persistent ringing in my right ear. I have had it on a persistent basis for about 5 years. It is a very high pitch shrill. Prior to this, I had intermittent ringing in both ears. My left ear still goes off every now and then, but the ringing has so far always gone away. The ringing in the left ear has not gone away.

I have learned not to fight or push back against the ringing. Instead, I receive it and let it in and accept it. It does not go away, rather it fluctuates in intensity, but by accepting it and not fighting it, I do not find it to be an unbearable source of stress or discomfort for me.

Also, Gillian, meclizine is a trade name, and the product goes by different names. Dramamine is another name. Perhaps you can find it by a different name where you live. As I mentioned I take 1/2 pill each morning as a prophylactic to ward of potential acute episodes of dizziness and vertigo. I started this regimen a few years ago after I had a bad episode of dizziness, nausea, hot/cold flashes etc....one morning that came without warning and laid me up for a day or so. I have not had an episode of that magnitude since. (Knock on wood.) Best to you all.

As I was communicating the symptoms to somebody else, I remembered that I have had the thought that the experience is a little like a beta blocker gone wrong. Does that make sense?

Yes it helps.
My mother had Meniere's disease--I wonder if it can be heredity

I went to the Dr with my symptoms and he said Vertigo.
May be so but the ears ring sometimes--- the dizziness can be extreme--like floating from side to side when walking--vertigo is experienced every time I get out of a lift..
I played in loud bands and that has affected my hearing greatly.

Anyway Im not so bothered by it now.

I can't remember where I saw this. I will have to do some digging. I heard that migraines are caused by bacteria in the mouth.

Here it is. Hope this helps.

My friend had vertigo. At times she couldn't risk getting out of bed. She was treated in a clinic associated with a conventional hospital by being strapped on a flat bed and tipped side to side and up and down. She was told this was to clear or move the crystals that had developed in her inner ear that were somehow obstructing her sense of equilibrium. It worked for her. I don't know if this is in the domain of an audiologist or a neurologist.
