View Full Version : Thousands of Americans Now Feel Free to Assault Fellow Citizens

Before you read my post please take a few minutes to work your way through the items in the linked piece. And remember, these incidents happened two days ago.

https://twitter.com/i/moments/796417517157830656

I've just worked my way through this whole sickening collection, and I really don't know how to describe my feelings. The America I thought I knew, the decent, law-abiding one, the one that took at least some pride in tolerance and civility, seems to be shredding at the seams. Something like this might have been comprehensible on one level if they had lost, but I'm shocked at the obvious pent up anger being so suddenly and spontaneously expressed in such open and physical ways. And in areas of the country that I would have considered at no risk for racism and intolerance. Places where there aren't a lot of latinos, asians or African Americans or LGBT persons for the white folk to feel "threatened" by. It makes no sense that the "victors" would lash out so heinously - they won - they got their way. And this is their way? This is what they wanted all along? Where is the recognition that their victims are human beings with hearts and souls? For individuals and mobs to instantly take things into their own hands on a personal level and attack the weak and powerless leaves me disoriented and sickened.

And the strangest part of this explosion of rage is that it is based on the perceived change that the election brought - as though civility and compassion were a sham, a "thin veneer of civilization" that can now be jettisoned - now that it is Trump's America. How anyone can see an election result as giving them instant cart blanch to destroy other human beings is unfathomable to me. So, the day before the election everyone was just pretending to be decent? They weren't being decent because they respected the humans that they shared their lives with? What's so different now? What changed within these people? It's like a really bad science fiction movie where the inhabitants of earth are taken over - within hours - by a malevolent force that flips a switch that opens the floodgates of half the population's black souls. Not to be flippant, but I could find parallels with the fictional guests of West World, where "decent", wealthy folk go to be evil and get away with it.

Maybe this outpouring of hatred will tamp down over the next few weeks. Maybe. Maybe there will be some leadership shown by the 'victors' side, with some call for order and respect of fellow human beings that will be heeded. But if the violations become the new 'normal', I can foresee a backlash from the victims. And that's how you get a civil war.

Overall, I feel very deeply saddened by these events.

I've noticed an increase in stroppiness here in England since Brexit too. It seems to have unleashed something negative. I've no idea if it's going to settle down again later or if it's going to keep on rising.

I know people are going to say that this is all media propaganda and that it is mostly not true, and maybe so, but none the less, it is serious cause for concern. I'm still convinced however, that compassion and common sense will prevail. There are too many good people who are aligned with such values for them not to.

Tweets are generated by the individuals who create them. These tweets are generated by people who have been victimized by people who feel they have the right to harm others.
The points of posting are many and various, as are the victims. Those who would claim that this is some sort of media conspiracy are playing into the hands of the perpetrators. They need to grasp the reality of this phenomenon.

Anyone who acts from an arquetype (executioner, victim or saviour) is being played. Remenber that as good increases so does bad, thue to natural balance. We are going to see lotsa of things which we may not like much, as all the **** has to purge and transmute, if you will. Best advice i been given is this : "Do care but dont be concerned". Love allways wins.

As a black American, I'm(obviously) very concerned. These events are real; Although no one has come at me personally(yet), I do notice whites being extra uncomfortable, and some have stared at me with a certain.. defiance in their eyes. They feel oppressed by PC culture and want to act out. Many of my black friends are considering, seriously, leaving America completely. So am I, because, it's pretty damn clear some white Americans don't want us here, and are willing to violently engage. It's Not a temporary thing. It's been bubbling just near the surface for a Long time. Trump gives them legitimacy, cover, faux-respectability, and it's snowballing. We(America) simply aren't who we say we are. Trump won because Trump is the ugly truth of the real America.

Its also clear that this is by design.. A race war. We are being intentionally manipulated into conflict. I know this, which is why I'm not protesting in the streets. All theater. Soros and his color revolutions in America. I will be peaceful, but if assaulted, or if I witness same, God help the assailant. This is not a game.

EDIT:In fairness, I'm editing my post to "Some white Americans", not millions.

Trump won because Trump is the ugly truth of the real America.

Its also clear that this is by design.. A race war. We are being intentionally manipulated into conflict. Don't lump me in with the "Trump is the ugly truth of the real America". Where I live I have witnessed the goodness of people flowing forth in waves of compassion and generosity. When tragedies would strike, the people would come together in multitudes, donating, helping, doing what they can to ease pain of those who lost their homes, or loved ones, or whatever that particular tragedy might have taken from them.

No, I don't live in some kind of utopia. Yes, there is still a lot of injustice and intolerance here too. But there is a lot of good. Take your pick as to who you want to be and how you want to deal with all of this. You can leave this country, but you can't leave this earth. (Unless you die of course). This hatred isn't just here in America. It's global.

United we stand.

These incidents have not increased since the [s]election but are merely being reported to give the appearance of an emerging threat. Not so. Don't fall for it. Just as we should not fall for the notion that the pro-Clinton anti-Trump protests are spontaneous and represent how all Clinton supporters feel, we should not conclude that these isolated incidents represent how all Trump supporters feel. twitter and bots.

Gaming the public through bots.

Gaming the public on the idea of scientific work and so-called 'detection algorithms'.

Blaming bots detected through the 'scientific study'.

The history of such 'political science', is literally being laid down as a cover story, right now, in these past few days and next few days.

The Soros/Hillary backers are literally twisting that story around, building the history of the lie of who did what, RIGHT NOW.

I was just reading about how difficult it is to detect fake bot twitter accounts.

Now, sides of this 'war' are lining up to discredit however they might find a method of doing so.

It matters not if the given study is falsified or suspect, it is perception that counts, when dealing with an area that the public does not have the depth of skills or knowledge to be able to understand the veracity of.

Watch the whole thing turn from neutral, to a perfected attack. Read closely about the problem of detection aspect, and realize how we are dealing with algorithms..their design, their purpose, their interpretation, their weighting, and so on. It's lies, damn lies, and then 'statistics'. Politics and the creation and manipulation of created statistics to create a backdrop of 'complex to navigate' projected truthfulness and scientific veracity/credibility.

We're looking at the 'creation of a history in science' in a case of 'smoke and mirrors chasing/accusing smoke and mirrors'..... to use as a weapon in a public opinion war.

I did look at the OP link and considered that many of the twits/tweets had the same basic layout.

Also that the video clip where a gentleman had his automobile defaced with racist graffiti is very unlikely to be genuine as the vandals must have been conscientious!
They actually must have picked up the windscreen wiper, written the capital N, then lowered the wiper blade back into position!
I doubt that.

And the only violence I saw was an older man being punched and kicked by a group of youths??

I do NOT say that there is no racism, nor that there is no angst among peoples but I will state that there is a forced march towards division.

Poor little snowflakes!

Mocking Derision

Us in the UK have the same..there is no one we can trust because they are controlled by the vatican and its becoming a lot more fascist and a lot less democratic.

Halloween is getting like christmas! films & video games have got darker, in work they are making 1 person do a 2-3 persons job. ..this is what we see now. Okay, we dont like to live in fear and try our best to live in a cheerful environment, but we cant ignore what is happening around us.

Also...Soros would not be ferrying bus loads of protesters all over America for nothing! that man is following orders from above and there's a plan.

Something in me said that I must look closer at this video clip, so I did.
I paused the clip and took a screen shot which I then put into Gimp.

I have to say that I may very well be incorrect in my first consideration and the 'paint' may have just leaked under the wiper blade.

Sean,

Where did I say they were faked?

Whether an event is real or faked is distinct from the level and frequency of reporting of an event. My point is that these events, even though real, are not demonstrative or indicative of how the exceedingly vast majority of Americans feel about their brothers and sisters of all races, creeds and religions. And, reporting these events at this time can give the false appearance that these extremely remote events are actually emerging into the mainstream. They are not.

Given that the Project Veritas videos proved that the Democrats are willing to incite violence and blame it on the Republicans, I'm going to assume that some if not all of the hate graffiti is being done by the Democrats.

In the meantime there are lots of videos of blacks rioting, damaging property and attacking whites. Where are the videos of whites attacking blacks?

Sean

Satori, we're talking about events that happened specifically because of Trump's election. It makes sense that they would be reported when they were, because they happened right after the election happened. That is, definitively emergent. It just happened, and there is a direct link between cause(Trump being elected) and effect(the actions shown in OP's post). There were other similar incidents in the run-up to election day, and your argument would make more sense applied to those incidents..but to deny emergent events, are, in, fact, emergent, doesn't make sense to me. This direct reporting from the victims, not over hyped stories stuck in an endless cable news cycle(although there is some reporting of it now). You didn't say "faked" but they would have to be for your argument to be valid, no? Faked, or, some level of dishonesty involved.

Clinton supporters wanted to knock out her arch-rival Jeb Bush from the presidential race

The eccentric billionaire popped up last year into the presidential elections like a jack-in-the-box, and messed up all Republican plans for the White House, having crept into their ranks. Trump became a headache for the Democrat Hillary Clinton and her entire party.

Donkey Ears
Analysts, political scientists, and other experts have been scratching their heads for several months over his phenomenon. Many on both sides of the ocean call Trump "the shame of America", awarding other bad adjectives, constantly predicting his demise. But he is still trying to force his way into the White house. And where did he come from?

Where - where from? You know, from the camel [Russian idiom -FR]. Sorry, from the donkey. This animal is the symbol of the Democratic party of the United States. The experts might point the journalist mixed up the animals. Say, the symbol of his native Republican party is the elephant.

The fact of the matter is, dear citizens, that donkey ears actually are sticking out behind the extravagant hairstyle of the Republican Donald, says Russian scientist Vladimir Shalack, although Trump had nothing to do with it.

I met the doctor of philosophic sciences Shalack in September of last year. Then the main global event was the sudden pouring of a flood of hundreds of thousands of migrants to Germany. Vladimir Ivanovich conducted his own research and convincingly, with specific addresses, names, proved:
"The invasion of refugees into Europe was organized through Twitter by United States and Britain". This article (http://www.kp.ru/daily/26434.4/3305391/) in Komsomolskaya Pravda made a lot of noise. As a source of information the scientist had selected a network of Twitter accounts, choosing those quickest to respond to all global events. In his research he adopted a strictly scientific method of content analysis based on the frequency of occurrence of words or phrases in the texts, headlines, etc. He got interested in this 20 years ago, working in the Research Center for Artificial Intelligence in Pereslavl-Zalessky. Later he created special computer programs for this purpose.

Then Shalack told me he conducted a similar investigation of the US presidential campaign. [He] subjected to content analysis the Twitter headlines with names of candidates of 17 of the most popular American mass media accounts. And also received unexpected results.

From the start Republican Jeb Bush and Democrat Hillary Clinton led by cash inflows. It would seem that the press over the ocean should write about them more often. After all, money talks.

Not so!

By the frequency of mention in 16 of 17 accounts by a considerable margin at the beginning of September 2015 Donald Trump was in the lead! Only Fox News mentioned Clinton more. In all 17, despite all the large cash flows, Jeb Bush was in last place. In total 4.7 times more articles were devoted to Trump than Bush, and 2.2 times more than Hillary, despite the fact that on the money he trailed behind, ranking 19th out of 23 candidates. That, in the opinion of the scientist, was devoid of any logic.

"No country in the world, and especially in democracies, has free media", said Shalack.

"This is one of the most effective levers of power, allowing to drive required thoughts into the heads of the masses and to control them. How to neutralize an undesirable political figure, especially a presidential candidate? Just stop writing about him, and if it is impossible, mention his name from time to time to give people the impression of marginality of this character.

"The biggest marginal of the three turned out to be Jeb Bush, and the undisputed leader of the headlines - the bizarre Donald Trump! At the current stage of the presidential race his name is hammered into the heads of voters."

But by whom?

Shalack made a deep conspiralogical conclusion. "The real masters of the USA are tired of the Bush and Clinton clans. Experiment with Obama has been a failure and threatens to turn into a disaster. They made a bid for Trump."

Investigation "Forecasts - thankless and risky, but still..." Shalack published this conclusion on his website back on September 6, 2015.

A few days later he conducted a content analysis of the headlines of leading UK media. "The election of the President of the United States. What do the Rothschilds think?"

The results were even more paradoxical. In total the foggy Albion devoted 9.8 times more articles to Trump than Jeb Bush, and 2.9 times more than Hillary Clinton. The popular magazine [I]The Economist, which is considered a mouthpiece of the Rothschilds, mentions Trump in the headlines ahead of Bush by 72 times! Moreover! The header of the account of the magazine featured a puzzling picture: a helicopter flying in the sky with the words "TRUMP" carrying on the cable carries... Trump's wig.

Which further strengthened the scientist in the thought that someone is behind Trump! Britain and the United States, after all, are the Anglo-Saxons who consider themselves rulers of the world.

But even I, the master conspiracy theorist of Komsomolskaya Pravda considered Shalack's insights too ambitious and fantastic a year ago. And did not publish the investigation in my native newspaper. I, as many analysts believed, then, that boisterous Trump was unleashed by the Republicans specifically at the start of the campaign to identify the weaknesses of Clinton, to make her tick. And closer to the primaries the respectable Jeb Bush will be released on the political scene in a white coat. A trusted comrade from a respected family. Father and brother were already presidents. Behind him - all the party leaders, the financiers, lobbyists, industrialists... Not the scandalous billionaire upstart. And Trump will give him the votes so Jeb can ascend to the White house. And Donald would score with favors in business.

But Bush was the first to expire, despite the political influence of the family, money, position in the party, as predicted by Shalack. And Trump became the leader in the primaries of his own party, although the leadership was dissatisfied with him. And [he] continues the battle with Clinton.

Operation "Pied Piper"
The other day I called the scientist with an apology, that I didn't believe him a year ago.

[I]"Everything is going according to you, Vladimir! Your conspiracy theory was correct. Look at Trump today!"

"There is only one hitch in my conspiratorial conclusions", said Shalack."Trump was hyped ... by the Democratic party itself."

"Impossible?!"

"May be. But I could not even imagine this. Therefore concluded about the owners of the United States. It turns out that the Democrats back in April 2015 contemplated about how to win elections. Some of them came up with the "brilliant" idea to assist in the media promotion of marginal candidates from the "enemy party" so those at the stage of the primaries [it] pushed the real contenders out of the race."

"The main real candidate of the Republican party, behind whom were concentrated enormous financial resources, was considered to be Jeb Bush. So with the help of the Democrats, the media, America and the UK hyped the Republican Trump."

[I]"Is this your guess?"

"A few days ago Wikileaks posted another batch of DNC emails. There is a very interesting document from April 7, 2015

https://www.sott.net/image/s17/351492/large/wx1080.jpg (https://www.sott.net/image/s17/351492/full/wx1080.jpg)

"So at the start the media promoted Pied Piper candidates from the "enemy party". Because Cruz and Carson were quite respectable people, the emphasis was on the eccentric Trump, whom many then considered a buffoon."

"The medieval legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin is widely known. Playing the flute, he stole all the children from the German city where they never returned."

"This role by the intention of the Democrats, was allotted to Donald Trump. So he took away the votes from Jeb Bush. Which is what I discovered in September of last year."

"Primaries started in February. Bush was out with a big bang from the start, and Trump was winning one state after another. Then was the turn of Carson and Cruz, hyped up by the Democrats."

"Do not dig a hole for somebody else"

"And then the unexpected happened", continued the doctor of philosophical sciences Vladimir Shalack, "If in 2015 Democrats made efforts to promote Trump, now began a chain reaction. The person who was given the role of a puppet, thief of votes, has suddenly become so popular among Republicans that they had no choice but to write about him. He became media-self-sufficient. The whole year according to my content analysis he was the leader by frequency of mentions in the leading American mass media."

"It continues today, when the acute phase of the election campaign has begun and buckets of dirt are pouring from one and the other side."

"I made a chart which shows for the last month and a half Trump leading on the frequency of mentions in the media headlines. Press, TV would love to stop, but they can't live without Trump. The amazing thing is that in each of the analyzed media, he is also ahead of Hillary."

https://www.sott.net/image/s17/351494/large/wx1080.jpg (https://www.sott.net/image/s17/351494/full/wx1080.jpg)
© vaal.ru,The frequency of mention of candidates in the media in the fall of 2016.

"Vladimir Ivanovich, did the Democrats realize that by promoting Trump, they let the genie out of the bottle?"

"In early May. I analyzed the Twitter accounts of 42 members of Clinton's campaign staff from January 1, 2015 to October 15, 2016. Collected 64 893 tweets. Until May 2016 Hillary was mentioned in tweets more often than Trump. But that all changed the first week of May 2016. After Trump's resounding victories during the primaries the Democrats realized that with their own hands they have created a serious rival for the fall elections. In October 2016 Trump is mentioned in the campaign staff tweets already three more times than Hillary. Democrats are freaked out, but don't know how to stop him. Hence the hysteria around the alleged Russian hackers, Trump's alleged support by the Kremlin and other nonsense."

"A year ago, Jeremy Corbin was elected the new leader of the Labour party in England. He was also smeared in dirt by all the British media, I conducted a content analysis of the press. But in the end he was on people's minds, as now Trump, and won by a large margin. Then there was a lot of moaning about this, but there was no turning back. This could happen with Trump."

The Democrats themselves raised their gravedigger. The suspense remains.

Lets not forget sixty million Americans did not vote--so if taken separately the number not voting was far bigger than the vote for Trump or the vote for Clinton.

Its easy to put incidents in the news or on videos---drama sells a point of view.
However a very large number of Americans are decent caring individuals who will not resort to violence.

Those of you who cry 'fake' to the growing avalanche of tweets from victims of the white supremacists and those who fear them should read what the editor of The Daily Stormer, a neo-nazi publication, just posted. Here, he urges his followers to harass anyone claiming to be 'scared' of the new Trump Amaerica. He hopes that the harassing will cause the tweeters to kill themselves. Then, he publishes his list of tweeters so they can then be targeted. From a piece in USA Today:

Donald Trump’s election as president of the United States has emboldened white supremacists to target Hillary Clinton supporters and others with online harassment.

The neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer published a list of more than 50 Twitter users who had expressed fear about the outcome of the 2016 election, urging its readers to “punish” them with a barrage of tweets that would drive them to suicide.

from The Daily Stormer:

“You can troll these people and definitely get some of them to kill themselves,” wrote the Daily Stormer’s publisher, Andrew Anglin.

You can troll these people and definitely get some of them to kill themselves.

Just be like “it’s the only way you can prove to the racists that Hillary was right all along.”

“Mass Suicides After Trump Victory” would be a headline the media would play up, but all it would do would demoralize the left even further.

GOGOGOGOGOGOGO!

Experts who have studied hate groups say white supremacists see Trump’s election as a victory for their ideology and a repudiation of multiculturalism. The outcome of the race has emboldened those who lurk in the Internet’s dark recesses to step up their attacks.

“We’re going to be hearing more about this — many different kinds of harassment of women, of people of color, of Muslims, linked directly to either Trump’s rhetoric or the alt right,” said Sophie Bjork-James, a post-doctoral scholar at Vanderbilt University’s anthropology department.

The Daily Stormer urged its readers to accost Muslim women, and “yell at them, tell them to go home.” At least two women whose Twitter names were circulated by The Daily Stormer said they had been subject to violent tweets.

One Clinton supporter in Orlando, Fla., watched with increasing disbelief Tuesday as the election results rolled in. As she prepared to go to bed on election night, with the dawning realization that Trump might well become the nation’s next president, she turned to Twitter to express her dismay.

"I've never felt so hopeless and scared about my and America's future. I can't even function at the moment. I'm so scared,” wrote Jennifer Soto Segundo.

The next day, Soto Segundo said she was greeted by violent tweets — one from a user urging her to step into a gas chamber, and another calling for her deportation. She's since made her tweets private.

If these tweets from frightened people are being generated by 'bots', then you could do the neo-nazis a favour and tell them they're wasting their time.

From The Daily Stormer:

Remember when we told you “now is not the time for fear”?

Yeah, well.

You should probably go ahead and be afraid now.

Because it’s happening.

So, just asking, to be clear, are you for Soros/Hillary (https://www.rt.com/usa/366579-soros-orgs-driving-trump-protests/) or Trump?

Deborah (ahamkara)

It seems to me that Trump was a result of the deep fear and potential for violence building in America - not the other way around. If not Trump, someone else would have risen up to ride that tide of emotion.... However, there is definitely a feeling of orchestration and manipulation by power elites - very, very strong on the day after the election. Social media and the internet have been mined for data and are now being used to foster and create reality.

Billy Vasiliadis

Fake or not, we need to show patience, respect and care for those minorities who are understandably feeling threatened after this result. What better way to soothe peoples fears than by being supportive, rather than dismissive? I do hope that a lot of this is just post election hysteria and we will see a return to some sort of normalcy very soon, but in the mean time, as another Avalonian made a thread about, gloating and/or making fun of those who are devastated by this result surely cannot make things any better. I know it is hard, but we have to try and be humble and keep building bridges. Even something as simple as a smile towards someone you see on the street can go a long way. It has never failed to amaze me how a simple act of kindness can completely change ones spirits. We got this :D

Neither, as I thought I made clear. I'm for a humanity that respects its members' sovereignty and allows them the individual freedom to fulfill their inherent potential as a spiritual being.

Politically, as far as the U.S. is concerned? If I had my druthers, Bernie would now be setting up a government.

I am fully for nationalization of big pharma, health 'care' system, and education of medicos (nationalized education where new doctors/practitioners would come under nationalized medicine). Trump could do that to "fix" the health care issue. I have seen the "death panels" at work, terminating the elderly cause they can't pay the insane prices demanded by hospitals, doctors, medico's and the obscene insurance 'companies'.

Opt for nationalization of health care - there then will be other nationalization steps. But jobs will be able to be created with health care nationalization AND the big pharma.

Hillary and crew would never do that, nationalize. Hillary and crew are for keeping up pay for play.. PAY as much as you want favors.. So big pharma/medico/insurance/banking pays to play.

Trump wants solutions in medicine and wants jobs and education issue to be solved. Nationalization of health care/medicine/bigpharma would be the step to achieve that, AND get the support of Bernie's proponents.

"There are many other words which I would have expected to have been used by different people!
Here's your list again.......seems to be trying to create a thought???"

Yeah, it's trying to create a thought alright. It's a thought written by the neo-nazi that posted it. As he stated at the outset:

"From The Daily Stormer:

Remember when we told you “now is not the time for fear”?

Yeah, well.

You should probably go ahead and be afraid now.

Because it’s happening."

That's his "thought" ; fear for your lives, because we are coming to kill you.

It's really pretty straightforward. There's no mystery to it. No hocus pocus. He feels no need to hide his intent within 'coded' language. There's nothing to "discern", as a popular theme around here goes.

Just read the words.

?? Maybe I am not putting my point of view over in a clear and concise manner?
So to remedy that:

I perceive that the current drama is orchestrated. That both sides are being created by the same 'group'.
That the indoctrinated mass, through their lack of individual thought, are imbecilic enough to destroy each other and consider their actions as correct!

For each link which shows the stupidity of 'those aligning with trump', one could also show the same stupidity of those 'im so scared'.
look at any of the reports considered news and see the angle being pushed!

Its exactly the same as in the UK regarding brexit....there is a massive split in the population which eventually will explode.
The leavers are called racist and blamed even for the lack of Marmite and the spacing of pieces in Toberone chocolate bars????

If the UK does not leave the EU it will be mayhem.
If the UK leaves the EU it will be mayhem.

Now the same song is playing in the USA.

I agree with you lake as of this moment--people are being conned into polarities, taking up opposing positions.
They are letting of steam big time but I truly believe this will pass.

There has to be chaos before something new (better) emerges.
Eckhart Tolle is the book "The Power of Now" said as much.
Its actually quite prophetic piece of literature--well worth a read.

A story
Time of Bonnie Prince Charlie--The Scottish army had got within thirty miles of London.
Then they turned back.
They were farmers etc crops to see to--family's to look after.

What Im saying is that people cant protest/fight for ever --it will settle down.
Human nature will out.

The unemployed ones living on welfare will find the pay hard to resist. It's probably the first job many of them have had since they left school.

Wow, I feel the opposite of you.
Both sides can spend time amassing clips of vids that support their hates or fears.
Thanks for the EDIT from millions to some white Americans!

I completely disagree with the notion that these tweets are somehow 'orchestrated'. There are too many, from too many different sources, and they appear spontaneous. But this post was started awhile ago. I predict that the incidents will only grow in number and depravity. Eventually, even skeptics such as yourself will have to admit that the racists and misogynists in America (and elsewhere) are now off their leashes.

As an update, here's an article in today's AlJazeera about a report put out recently by the Southern Poverty Law Center that has tracked some of the recent reported incidents.

It begins:

"In the wake of Donald Trump's presidential election victory, the United States saw a "national outbreak of hate" with a spike in assaults, intimidation, and harrassments towards ethnic and racial minorities, including children, women, and the LGBT community, a US civil rights group says.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) said in a report released on Tuesday that it documented nearly 900 hate incidents within the 10 days following Trump's election on November 8, but noted it was "almost certainly a small fraction of the actual number" because of underreporting.

Many of the perpetrators invoked the president-elect's name during the incidents, indicating the surge was linked or motivated by his electoral win, the report said.

It also blamed Trump for running an election campaign "marked by incendiary racial statements and the stoking of white racial resentment" and "opening wounds of division" in the country.

Further:

"Ryan Lenz, an editor of the SPLC's Hatewatch blog, told Al Jazeera the "staggering flood" of reported hate incidents and their severity prompted his organisation to keep track of them for the first time ever.

"This is the first time we tracked them, which speaks volumes... We've never seen something like this," said Lenz.

He noted the only other parallel episodes of hate in recent times in the country occurred in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks and Barack Obama's 2008 presidential election.

"People have experienced harassment at school, at work, at home, on the street, in public transportation, in their cars, in grocery stores and other places of business, and in their houses of worship," the report said.

Anti-immigrant and anti-black sentiment were listed as the most common causes for the documented hate acts, making up 32 percent and 23 percent, respectively.

SPLC quoted an anonymous Washington state school teacher as saying "Build a wall" was chanted by students in the cafeteria.

"'If you aren't born here, pack your bags,' was shouted in my own classroom," she said.

Six US mosques receive letters attacking Muslims

In Arlington, Virginia, a woman crossing the street reported that two young white men yelled at her from their car: "You better be ready because with Trump, we can grab you by the [female genitalia] even if you don’t want it."

The report also said "Muslim women wearing hijabs have been particularly vulnerable to threats and assault."

Zeinab Arain, of the rights group Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), told Al Jazeera from November 9-18 the organisation recorded 111 anti-Muslim incidents.

"A lot of them involved women in headscarfs - in which hijabs were pulled off aggressively, kids targeted in schools, and some physically violent assaults," she said.

CAIR quoted Maha Abdul Gawad, a US resident, as saying another woman pulled her headscarf off and said "this is not allowed anymore, so go hang yourself with it around your neck - not on your head".
