Protests filed in Bladen and 11 other counties over alleged fraudulent absentee ballots

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Formal protests are now being filed in 11 additional counties to challenge potentially fraudulent absentee ballots cast for Roy Cooper and other Democrats, according to Governor Pat McCrory's campaign.

A formal protest was filed with the Bladen County Board of Elections to challenge several hundred absentee ballots, alleged to be fraudulent on Tuesday.

The initial evidence laid out in the protest suggests a "massive scheme to run an absentee ballot mill involving hundreds of ballots, perpetrated by and through the Bladen County Improvement Association PAC," a political-action committee funded by the N.C. Democrat Party and other prominent statewide Democrats.

In addition to funneling money to the Bladen County Improvement Association PAC, the North Democratic Party also transferred money to political action committees in 11 counties.

A protest was filed on Wednesday in Halifax County and additional protests are being filed by registered voters in Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Guilford, Nash, Northampton, Robeson, Vance, Wake and Warren counties, according to the McCrory campaign.

Protests urge each county board of elections to conduct a full-scale investigation into the absentee ballots and review all witness signatures on the absentee ballot envelopes to look for evidence of ballot harvesting.

"It appears that our worst fears have come true and this absentee ballot fraud scheme may run deeper than just Bladen County," said Russell Peck, Pat McCrory's campaign manager. "Unfortunately, we may also have uncovered the real reason Roy Cooper fought so hard against efforts to prevent voter fraud as attorney general. These voter fraud concerns must be addressed before the results of the election can be finalized.”

"It is absolutely shameful that Governor McCrory would make these unfounded claims," said Ford Porter, campaign spokesman for Cooper. "This is the worst kind of misinformation campaign meant to undermine the results of an election the Governor has lost."

According to the McCrory campaign, the protest, filed by Bladen County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor McCrae Dowless and corroborated by a forensic handwriting expert, notes "shocking evidence resulting from a blatant scheme to try to impact the voting results of an entire county and perhaps even sway statewide and federal elections," including the gubernatorial race.

“With hundreds of fraudulent votes found in just one North Carolina county for a straight Democratic ticket, close examination of this election is required to make sure the true winner of the election is properly determined,” said Jason Torchinsky, legal counsel for the Pat McCrory Committee Legal Defense Fund. “The staggering evidence of voter fraud in Bladen County and the number of similar PACs that the North Carolina Democratic Party donated to shortly before the start of early vote requires close examination throughout the state.”

The ballots were identified as problematic after Dowless brought suspicions of voter fraud in his race for Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor to the attention of the Bladen County Board of Elections before Election Day.

A multitude of suspicious write-in votes cast for Democrat Franklin Graham in the race for Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor appear to have “overtly similar” handwriting patterns on the ballots and witness signatures, according to the McCrory campaign.

Horace Munn, a representative with the Bladen County Improvement Assocation PAC, said Tuesday night that his group did nothing against the law. He explained that PAC volunteers went door-to-door during early voting to help those who wanted to fill out absentee ballots. Munn said absentee ballots are common in Bladen County because of "harassment and intimidation at the polls."

Munn said the volunteers provided a sample ballot, already filled out, for voters to use as they completed their own. Franklin Graham was written in on the sample ballot.

On several occasions, Munn said his volunteers manually filled out ballots for voters who requested it, something he explained they've done for years.

"From what I gather, the people that were voting at home couldn’t write in legible Franklin Graham, and so I guess they asked people to assist them and write that name in, so when they wrote that name in they probably did it for multiple people," Munn explained. "Now the state board of election is saying if you wrote his name in for them even though you didn’t bubble, you are supposed to sign it to say you assisted."

Bobby Lumley, Chair of Bladen Board of Elections, said that the fact those who assisted didn't sign the line saying they assisted is a real problem.

"I think there must be some truth because the state accepted it for investigation. I know there is voter fraud--in this case that cat's out of the bag so to speak," stated Lumley. "The absentee by mail program is being abused severely, we had over one thousand absentee ballots this time. It started growing with the PACs, when they got active, they go out and get everyone they can to sign a request for an absentee ballot."

Durham county is where they illegally held the polls open for an additional hour and a half after polls in the rest of the state had closed. They were undoubtedly in a last-minute scramble to produce enough votes to defeat Trump's lead in the state, but were unable to do so. Hillary still picked up something like 90,000 extra votes during that illegal overtime. However, the governor's race was closer and now mass voter fraud investigations will probably go forward in North Carolina before their next governor is determined.

I saw the same thing happen in Alexandria (Virginia), Miami (Florida), and Philadelphia (Pennsylvania). I was watching the votes come in live on election night and all of these cities held back their votes until the last minute, seeing how many votes were coming in from the rest of their states and then racing to catch up and overcome Trump's lead before polls closed. All of these urban areas vote Democrat and are full of corruption. This kind of fraud has been going on for decades unfortunately. Virginia was actually stolen from Trump in this way, because of the fraud going on in the DC suburbs of Alexandria. It was only because of landslide popular turnout that he was able to overcome all of this nonsense and win at all.

Looks like it's so bad that they might actually have to hold a whole new election to vote for governor again in at least one county:

NC Voters Face Possibility of Another Election To Settle Governor's Race

GREENSBORO, N.C. - It seems the finish line for the governor's race would be Friday. The provisional ballots would be counted, and a winner would be declared. But now that finish line, might be moving even farther away. Governor Pat McCrory says his supporters plan to file formal ballot protests in 12 counties including Guilford County. The complaints urge each county Board of Elections to review every single absentee ballot to make sure they weren't filled out fraudulently. So what does all of this mean for you? One of many possible outcomes: a redo election in Guilford County. Oh you read right: a possible redo election. Right now those formal ballot protests are still being filed.

Fraudulent absentee ballots, dead people voting, felons voting, and probably illegal immigrants too.

I'm after the fact on this, but that is a little bit of a stretch since they "might" have 90,000 voters in the whole county. Now, the best thing they ever achieved locally, is the water works from around 1910 or so...I wouldn't want most of those people to be in a position to recommend a used handkerchief for me...and so please, if you are going to commit such a fraud, could it at least be a plausible one??

Back in 2000, when George W. Bush stole the election (the first time electronic Diebold voting machines were used), there was a precinct in Ohio with about 20,000 registered voters, where 80,000 votes actually ended up being cast. Ohio and Florida seem to have had the most reports of voter fraud that year. That's just an example of the kinds of things that are possible when (a) electronic machines are being used, with data sent to a central database with no paper trails, and (b) the major media isn't giving you precinct-by-precinct numbers. Instead they give county-by-county and even that is being filtered by the AP or some other shadowy group before making it to the public.

Here's the latest out of NC, from three days ago:

McCrory will withdraw recount demand if Durham votes recounted

Gov. Pat McCrory is ready to withdraw his request for a statewide recount if a new hand count of Durham County votes produces the same results as Election Day, his campaign announced Saturday evening.

The governor is asking the N.C. State Board of Elections to hold an expedited hearing on an appeal of the Durham County election board’s denial of a request for a recount there. The state board on Saturday called for a Sunday afternoon meeting by phone to discuss this matter and a federal lawsuit challenging same-day registration ballots.

“If a Durham recount provides the same results as earlier posted, the McCrory Committee will be prepared to withdraw its statewide recount request in the Governors race,” the campaign’s news release says.

McCrory has been trailing Attorney General Roy Cooper by about 7,700 votes as counties around the state finalize their counts with provisional and absentee ballots. McCrory, in order to meet a deadline last week, gave notice that he would request a statewide recount.

He is permitted to demand a recount as long as the margin between he and Cooper remains less than 10,000 votes.

Durham has been at the center of allegations of voter improprieties, mostly promulgated by Republican officials and the McCrory campaign, in complaints filed in about half of the counties. The first county election boards to review those complaints, however, have not found significant abuses. In addition to the computer glitches, the eligibility of a number of votes has also been contested, such as accusing voters of being felons, voting in two states or that ballots were cast be dead people.

Durham began a hot spot on election night when Cooper, after trailing McCrory as results were tabulated most of the night, suddenly surged ahead after about 90,000 votes from Durham County came in late. Elections officials there said computer problems delayed the final county that night, and that there were no indications of irregularities.

Hrm. Sounds like about the same ratio of salaries paid by the U. S. to "actual" Iraqi militias versus "ghost soldiers" who took the check and were nowhere to be found. I guess that's the bureaucratic standard.

While this level of bogus-ness goes on, we also have to have the argument that it's unfair to require identification in order to vote. I don't think the 2-3% of the population without id can even begin to compete with a system that can't count to begin with, and then gets stuffed with a bunch of unidentified ballots anyway.
