I just received the following email on my inbox (see below)...... For those of you who don't know who DR Harper was here is a short description.

Dr. John Jay Harper (www.johnjayharper.com) (http://www.johnjayharper.com/) is a clinical hypnotherapist in Spokane, Washington who has written a new book that integrates the near-death experience within the framework of both science and religion; specifically it is a theory on the operation of cosmic consciousness itself. His passion is learning not only about life but life hereafter. However, this was not always the case. John says his inspiration did not come out of curiosity but out of necessity. In June, 1988, John had an after-death visitation [see below] with a deceased physicist colleague that changed him from skeptic to mystic. It was this close encounter with the land of the dead - and the myriad questions it generated - that relentlessly drove him for over a decade to solve the riddle of life after death. The answers can be found in his book, Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century (http://www.johnjayharper.com/).

E-Mail

Dear AlkaMyst,

I went to my computer this morning expecting an email from John Jay Harper, who was my very special teleseminar guest a few days ago.

Instead, there was an email from his close friend and webmaster saying that John had quietly passed away yesterday at his computer. Needless to say I immediately phoned his friend but he had no further details at this stage. All we could say to each other was "I just don't believe it".

John was only about 61.

I have had dozens of people die in my life including all of my family, but this is one of the greatest shocks I think I've ever had.
Not only is it a great shock because we spoke on the Teleseminar on Monday/Tuesday.
But because of the overwhelmingly wonderful reaction we had to the call, we had been emailing each other ever since, planning a very special treat for everyone for next year.

In mid-January, we had planned to do the first in a series of regular Q & A - open-line teleseminars.

The aim of the project was to help people who are going through what so many of us are experiencing at this time. To help them see that the physical and psychological pain NOW is going to help them to experience an easy transition to our new Golden age so long as they can LET GO of the fear and negative aspects.

As I said to a couple of dear friends when I told them of our exciting plans; "We want to help people prepare if they'll let us help them. And it certainly WILL help them if they want to take the opportunity to join us."

The following is a copy and paste from the last email that I sent to John yesterday.

Sadly, he never had a chance to reply.

John based on our 'talks' so far; as I see it, "the purpose of the call is not to "cure" or "heal" anyone, but to let them know what is going on from a metaphysical/spiritual perspective. To help them to understand what might be happening in the world re the changes in harmonic vibrations and help them let go of their fears. We will most likely do coaching on the call from the spiritual perspective, and then encourage them to seek personal professional help in whatever form that might need to be - psychological, medical, financial, whatever.

THE most important thing at this time is for those experiencing these "symptoms" even if they have lost everything and have gone bankrupt, is to embrace what has happened. Let go of the past. Learn from the negatives and focus on and embrace the positives. If they can let go of the biggies, then as more smaller issues come up for them (which they will) that will be easy to let go of.

It's going to be a lot easier for people to let go of the embedded negative vibrations now and begin to move to the higher harmonic vibrations in this relatively safe environment, than to be hit with maximum exposure over the next year or three+.

How does that sit with your ideas?"

I had told him that I would make the first announcement of our plans in my next e-zine which will be out early next week.

We were both so excited about the project because we could both "see" how much help we could be to so many people. From what I can tell, John had already told half of Washington state about our plans.

John was one of the most genuine and passionate people I've met, especially when it comes to helping others. And that is why I wanted him to be my last teleseminar/webcast guest for 2010.

What a wonderful way to end the year I thought. And from all of the emails I received after the call many other people thought so too.

Bye the way, I sent all those wonderful comments on to John and so he would have known how special everyone thought he was before he went.

John was a man who was solely motivated by helping others and making a difference. That's why I knew we'd work well together.

He would do anything for any one and all for no cost at all if they couldn't afford to pay.

What a tragedy for us all, indeed for the world, and especially for his beloved wife Connie and his children and grandchildren. It was so clear from what John had said that he loved his family as much as it is possible for any human to love their family.

Just shows that you never know what's ahead. And he's been doing such wonderful work too.

If you missed our talk earlier this week you'll find it at

http://InstantTeleseminar.com/?eventid=16277529

And I've made it available for a free download for those who would like to keep it in memory of a very special human who will be oh so sadly missed.

I have put a partial copy of this email up on my blog.

So if you'd like to send a message to Connie, John's wife whom, as I said, he adored; and of course his family, you can do so there and they can read them when they are feeling better.

Much Love
Kashonia

I didnt know of this man's work before, but he sounds like he was really doing some very interesting work, very sad that he is no longer with us.
I guess any death of a healthy person working in the alternative/metaphysical fields does raise questions, was he getting too close to ideas/techniques that the controllers didn't want out...

Personally i have been studying Shamanism for over a year now, and its certainly a path that can give lots of answers to the bigger questions...
i will watch his talk that u posted now,

thanks for posting this,

Astrid

I have been very interested in shamanism also for quite sometime, I keep telling my wife that I want to go to the Amazon to do a real Ayahuasca ceremony (lol, she thinks I'm going nuts!).....man, what a change in the perception of one's reality. I called are real "Reality Check".

Astrid, have you see The Spirit Molecule (DMT Ayahuasca Documentary), if not I have it posted on my blog...check it out! (https://www.theavalonfiles.com/blog/?cat=14)

I havent seen that.. but i know of it, its on my list , lol...
I have 2 Shamanic teachers right now, Hank Wesselman and Sandra Ingerman... Both very inspiring and powerful healers, and neither use drugs to enter into altered states.
The use of psychotropics is only one way of doing it, there are other ways.

Maybe we should start a thread on Shamanism??? Its an interesting topic for sure!!

Can you please forward some info on your teachers, I'm very interested....I also agree that the use hallucinogens it's not necessary, but you have to understand that DMT is a natural chemical that is created by the human brain (specifically in the pineal gland) which is what induces deeps levels of sleep.

Also DMT is found on about 96% of all plants, it's the extracting that it's difficult. Remember, shamanism is the oldest form of spirituality and til this day the most practiced also which has it's roots set back to the times of Atlantis and Lumeria (Indigenous people are the real and true shamans in my opinion). When the shamans in the amazon make ayahuasca one must understand that ayahuasca is only the root that is used to make the main ingredient on the tea active (called shakruna), all ayahuasca does is it allows for DMT to be ingested and prevents the acids on your stomach from breaking down the DMT which allows for it to get into your blood stream and have the effects it does!

And Yesssss, I'm all for starting a thread on shamanism. I would really like to hear people's points of views on the subject....great idea!!!

His book is very very good. Well documented and a great collection of information. I had to read it twice and take notes which led me onto other interesting info.

I read somewhere...You can sit in the mountains of Tibet for 20 years, meditating, with help from masters....or, you can spend a day and evening in the Amazon with a Shaman master experiencing Ayahuasca...same result.

I myself have a rather curious curiosity to take a trip to the Amazon;)

That is so true....the description I got of DMT (The active ingredient on Ayahuasca) goes something like this...."Imagine if you can take the whole Universe and cram it into a cannon, aim at brain.....FIRE!!!" Supposedly you get access to all knowledge that exists. Just What I Read Somewhere!!!
