Anyone who thinks we are the only game in town has their head buried in the sand.

You can do anything when you're Superman and/or Batman. Case in point, you can both watch the moon and stars and lay out in the sun, at the same time.
(I hope I don't have to explain this. hehe)

“Consciousness sleeps in the stone, dreams in the plant, awakens in the animal, and becomes self-conscious in man.”
That's my chosen signature on Avalon, because I agree that there is nothing that is not part of life and consciousness.
We as human beings have just not been able to identify what life really is yet.
We recognize it in creatures that move around real quick, like we do... we half heartened agree that plants are alive... only just. But we cannot yet see life in minerals, let alone see beyond the life forms that make up our incarnated existence.

Here's a different take on things. What if what you experienced is without any doubt 100% proof that we are not alone? More than statistics or testimony or any evidence. You are the eyewitness. Would that change you?

Nice post Silo
Depends if we are in the universe in the first place.
We think we are here on a planet looking out through a Solar-system to the Universe, we think all of that!
Another way of looking at the question:
We vibrate at a certain rate which gives us our life here on a planet vibrating same rate. We are a match for our planet at our vib-rate. Do we exist to the universe and or other life Vib-Rate forms?
We are in our Vibration level.
It looks like very soon we will be a different Vib-Rate-Life-Form and be tuned into others, but are they or will we be in this universe?
'Life-Form' that's quite a big title, maybe even bigger that the title Universe :sun:
transformers 'Step-Up' and 'Step-Down' energy to suite the need/level.
We are Condensed Light-Energy stepped-down as it where.
All is just energy of varying Vibrations/density's!
So are there other different levels of energy out there taking on the role of life-forms, life forms in the way that you mean Silo?

I entertain the idea that the reason we do seem to be alone in the universe with no absolute proof of other life forms is because that is the way our holographic reality game is. It is just too odd that we could look to the skies with billions of other planets and yet have no absolute contact with others, other than ufo's and rumor and innuendo.

I appreciate all your comments. I posted this to add some levity and give some much needed cheer in these seemingly dark times.
I do happen to believe that the universe is an awfully big fish bowl if its for just us here on Earth.

If the land of Oz existed over the rainbow for Dorothy, why oh why cant there be life on other planets? :-)

The best current estimate of galaxies in the universe is between 100 & 200 billion. The estimate of stars in our galaxy is between 100 & 400 billion. If we're the only inhabited planet then we would represent one hell of an anomaly.

Given the quantity of galaxies/stars out there, i would say that its statistically impossible that conditions dont exist within a relatively short distance, cosmically speaking, for intelligent life to have developed. Also, considering that our scientific knowledge is in a very early stage, i will make the assumption that it is possible to cross the vast distances of space in short order with appropriate tech. That being the case, once an intelligent space faring species first arose, it would travel the stars spreading life wherever it seemed possible for it to take hold. So, i would conclude the universe is teaming with intelligent life.
Case in point, even nasa has said that one of its telescopes has found dozens of planets in our local area of the galaxy that could support earth like life. Even some nasa scientists have claimed finding the fossils of bacteria in mars meteorites, so extra-terrestrial life has already been found in our own solar system, acknowledged by white world science. This is not to mention the ufo phenomenon evidence for ETIs.
