The US owes trillions of $'s to China a good way to cut this debt is to go to war with
your debtor a time old tradition. I don't know if this is feasible with China a nuclear
power ? depends how far the US takes this game of military brinkmanship.

In a mad , mad, mad, mad world it is a little disconcerting that Donald has
appointed Gen 'mad Dog' Mattis and other military advisers in a time of so
much tension. Generals , Admirals , Air Marshals need wars or the threat of
it to exist and the US still has the largest military and military ind complex
on the planet. So this could escalate from 'bluff' to missile strikes, only time
will tell

We dodged the WW 111 Hillary bullet in Syria, but will the Donald get drawn into
China ?

Ever so often comes a documentary that normally carries fear porn that never come to fruition. Just the other day I read here on avalon that the antartic ice are melting and is suppose to cause massive destruction everywhere on the planet. seems to me fear porn is the norm here nowadays.

Fear porn is what drives the military ind complex's without it they would
be out of business. So these escalations which have always happened are
sometimes difficult to predict. I do not see WW 111 happening in the near
future , but you cannot rule it out either. Mistakes can happen and there
will be more proxy wars , which again have always gone on somewhere
in the world. I did read somewhere years ago there has never been a year
in recorded history that there has not been a conflict somewhere on the globe.

So it is either a human instinct ? or we have been manipulated for eons ?

I look at these subjects in the context we are eternal entities experiencing
this reality , which opens up a different set of possibilities , is this just a
plane we experience the physical with all that brings. But if someone has
been tampering with the programme of the matrix this experience may
be set on the wrong settings so to speak. Then of course many have a
positive stay and are reluctant to pass back to the other side and have
to be pushed with war , disease , aging etc....

Its obviously a complex debate depending on your views and circumstances
of your visit to this intergalactic theme park. You can go in many directions
and contradictions from here , but what most see is the inequality and why
the vast majority of humanity are here on a economy ticket , some ride
business or first class and a select few have a private transportation.

I wonder whether I should bother with these topics and go back down
the pub with my mates re join carnival and have fun with a different
mind set and there is nothing wrong with that if that's what you want
and the control mechanisms of 'mind control' have been doing setting
this up for ever . The problem is once you go deeper down the rabbit
hole a whole new world opens up and connects many dots with topics
on the surface do not seem related. Anyway enough of my ramblings...:idea:

Either way PA has been home to me. I just would like to somehow keep touch should shtf, but I imagine everyone will be too busy trying to survive what is surely coming with galactic cycles or "orbital heavenly bodies we are now seeing.

Brief summary:

U.S detonating the equivalent of one Hiroshima nuclear bomb on the Marshal Islands every day for 12 years.
U.S sending Marshal Islanders back to live there when their own nuclear agencies rated the islands the most contaminated land on earth.
U.S nuclear scientists stating that the Marshal Islanders have and will continue to provide excellent data on radiation and its devastating effects on the human body.
U.S personnel working on Ronald Reagan missile testing island where there are amenities such as golf courses and a fully equipped hospital while 12,000 Marshal islanders
are overcrowded on an adjacent island with no sanitation or access to medicines. Workers are ferried over each day to work for the missile base, watering the golf-courses,
clearing rubbish, waiting tables, and are then ferried back to squalor each night.. Apartheid in the Pacific.

The first minute contains a bunch of powerful black and white still images that are very moving.

I did watch the whole thing. And yes, I love John Pilger, and will always absorb anything he does.

But Pilger's focus is always on injustice, iniquity, abuse of power, and political dishonesty. That was really what this film was 80% about.

The first 40 minutes were about the harsh and unjust radiation effects on the Marshall Islanders after the Bikini bomb tests in the 40s, and how the islanders were treated as little more than experimental animals. Archive film was shown where the citizens there were described as 'savages'.

He went on to cover the injustice of the forced 'apartheid' at Kwajalein, and the Japanese protests about the US military base in Okinawa (in Japan: nothing to do with China). The links to China consisted of occasional mention that the missiles there were all aimed that way.

The most interesting segment of the film for me was the revelation, from a retired military witness, that back in 1962 (at the time of the Cuban missile crisis) a rogue military major in Okinawa had ordered a full-on nuclear missile strike on China. The missiles were armed, prepared for launch, and were about to be fired.

Sensing something was wrong, the duty officer (who has to be some kind of hero!) suspected the order was false. He ordered two men to shoot anyone who tried to execute the launch, and ran to the command center, less than a minute away.

Sure enough, the launch command was bogus, and a stand-down was ordered — just in time. Jeez. The major who had given the order was court-martialed and dismissed from the Air Force.

The witness, John Bordne, said: "We just kind of looked at each other. We could have exterminated the whole planet."

Go straight to 1:20:30 for that extremely fascinating testimony, just 3 minutes long. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I believe that's the first time that's ever been made public. Pilger had never heard about it.

Jeez, once again. :facepalm:

But in my view, this film is NOT principally about "the coming war on China". It's really about US military hegemony in general, and the local social injustice that the US always leaves in its wake. But Pilger, as always, is excellent.

Recent posts on this thread have made references to the Atomic Bomb Test at the Bikini Atoll-Marshall Islands post WWII.

My dear departed father was "On Board The Good Ship U.S.S. Benevolence" (oh, the irony), during that test. He, among others, received a certificate for his (good faith, patriotic) participation in that dark blot on US and world history.

Attached is a photo of the certificate. The original hangs on my office wall.

I added the inverted US Flag (which is now pretty faded) as my small protest of the insanity of it all and to note how we are all in dire distress as a consequence.
