Aleppo on news of Syrian Army retaking east of city – RT reporter (VIDEO)

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.rt.com/document/584f226ac3618880758b45fa/amp

While an official statement on the situation is yet to emerge from Damascus, a source close to Syrian Army headquarters told RIA Novosti that the army is on the brink of liberating the city.

“The army has begun clearing out the last terrorist stronghold in the Salaheddin neighborhood. The terrorists are firing back and are trying to use mortars,” the source told the news agency. “However, the complete liberation of Aleppo could happen soon, which will be officially announced.”

Meanwhile people have already taken to the streets of the war-torn city in celebrations, RT’s Lizzie Phelan reported from Aleppo.

“All of downtown Aleppo tonight is filled with people celebrating,” Phelan said.

Singing and chanting, “for the Army and President Bashar Assad,” could be heard throughout the city, Phelan added. The reports were also welcomed by celebratory gunfire.

However, sounds of shelling could be still heard in the city, Phelan wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Ahmad Saleh, leader of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s Ba’ath Party in Aleppo, stated in an interview to Sputnik that “Aleppo is free from terrorists,” noting that although some militants are still battling government forces in the Salaheddin neighborhood, they are “surrounded and will surrender soon.”

“There are only a few hours left until official announcement on Aleppo’s liberation,” he said.

On Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that over 13,000 civilians had been rescued from militant-held parts of eastern Aleppo with the help of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in the past 24 hours. The Center said that over 98 percent of Aleppo had been retaken.

More than 700 militants laid down their arms and surrendered to the Syrian Army, the ministry said, adding that Russian bomb disposal engineers were continuing to demine the neighborhoods in eastern Aleppo that had been freed from terrorists and rebel militants.

Meanwhile, Washington declined Russia’s proposal to delay a ceasefire in Aleppo for several days, with US State Department spokesman John Kirby calling the move “simply not acceptable.”

Washington keeps insisting on the immediate halt of all operations in Aleppo, which, Moscow argues, might enable terrorists to recuperate.

CNN, which works so hard at making the American people care, weep, sympathize, etc. will probably hardly mention this tonight. Their overlords are saddened that they didn't get to destabilize Syria and put their corruptible people in places of power so they could run the country and build a pipeline through it.

This is a victory for Aleppo and Syria, and a victory against the secret corrupt powers that be. I rejoice with the people in the streets of Aleppo.

In the UK the slant being put on it is anti Russia and anti Assad --

The Mind Control Media is in overdrive to try and turn the victory against the paid mercenaries and extremists into criticism of the huge efforts it has taken to save the people of East Aleppo - who were being kept hostage -

If the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, etc had their own way the people of East Aleppo would have been left to their fate under the strict violent rule of the extremists --

it drives me nuts when they continue the farce and dishonesty and describe the invading groups as 'rebels' --- the notion of moderate rebels went out the window a long time ago -

The real story of this proxy war, is that US/Canadian/Israeli/Uk/French special forces soldiers,
(and possibly super-soldiers) plus a rag bag of mercenary fighters (ISIS and Al Queda)
Went up against their counterparts from Syria, Russia, Iran, Iraq and (more recently) Egypt.

In theory, the western side are the best funded, best equipped and best trained forces...
and consequently should have easily won this. But they've just lost the most strategically
important city in Syria. The recent taking of Palmyria is a mere bagatelle.

It's the turning point of this whole thing.

If you've kept a checklist of all the talking heads behind "Assad must go", you will find, that they are almost all gone. Obummer has a few days left, and then there will just be a few Gulf monarchs into it. Notice how quick Erdogan switched his stance in the past 2-3 weeks (not that killing American and German spies has anything to do with it). The Americans in Aleppo haven't surfaced yet, maybe they escaped.

Palmyra was just another opportunity to encapsulate 4,000 goons in a specific area with no means of supply or escape. Those will be ashes fairly soon as well.

Long live Aleppo.

Oh that's what the UN Human Rights office want us to believe is it..?

What a complete load of rubbish (to put it mildly)

The UN Human Rights Council have lost ALL credibility and are now a major part of the problem and not the solution --- to anything!!

This is the kind of thing they get up to -- and when Saudi Arabia was made head of the Human Rights Council for a period of time it just beggared belief -

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/sep/29/uk-and-saudi-arabia-in-secret-deal-over-human-rights-council-place

Britain conducted secret vote-trading deals with Saudi Arabia to ensure both states were elected to the UN human rights council (UNHRC), according to leaked diplomatic cables.

The elevation of the Saudi kingdom to one of the UN’s most influential bodies in 2013 prompted fresh international criticism of its human rights record.

This week, a new diplomatic row has erupted over a Shia activist, Ali Mohammed al-Nimr, who faces death by crucifixion after being convicted at the age of 17 of joining an anti-government demonstration.

Riyadh has sanctioned more than a hundred beheadings so far this year – more, it is claimed, than Islamic State.

The Saudi foreign ministry files, passed to Wikileaks in June, refer to talks with British diplomats ahead of the November 2013 vote in New York. The documents have now been been translated by the organisation UN Watch – a Geneva-based non-governmental human rights organisation that scrutinises the world body – and newspaper the Australian.

The Globalist warmongers, secretly working to carve up the Middle East and change the borders as part of the 'plan' - have no mercy on the civilians who are dying, suffering and being displaced - and so they turn it all around to accuse the Syrian Army and Russia of doing the very thing that they are guilty of --

the level of dishonesty and shameless deception is truly sickening --

You may have heard that the Aleppo evacuation stalled, because kidnapped persons and captured soldiers were supposed to have been released, but militants were caught trying to smuggle out these prisoners.

Allegedly, disguised amongst the prisoners are 11 C. I. A. and 2 retired S. A. S. I don't usually uncork bottles before its time, but the scent of that one is quite tantalizing.

It's still a little threadbare, however, this report concerning the final bunker which was command and control center for Nusra (al Qaeda) and Nouradin al Zinki states that these officers have been captured:

http://en.hunternews.ru/?p=4955

According to reports, on the territory of Aleppo were arrested (except of the previously published list of 14 people):

No. of American officers is 22

British 16

French 21

Israeli 7

Turkish 62

Interestingly, the list of 14 names leaked by a Syrian MP are not the real names of those officers, they are cover names; it is standard practice to use a fake ID when serving in a secret op.

By John McCain December 22 at 7:21 PM
John McCain, a Republican, represents Arizona in the U.S. Senate.

The words “never again” ring hollow as the city of Aleppo, Syria, has fallen to regime forces of Bashar al-Assad. A brutal siege that has ground on for years was finally brought to a bloody end by a surge of Russian airpower, Iranian shock troops and assorted regional militia fighters. As we eulogize the dead of Aleppo, we must acknowledge the United States’ complicity in this tragedy.

President Obama speaks of the need to “bear witness” to injustice. He did little else for Aleppo. To what have we borne witness? To the use of smart bombs to target women and children, hospitals and bakeries, aid warehouses and humanitarian convoys. To the development and popularization of barrel bombs — oil drums packed with shrapnel and explosives, dropped indiscriminately from aircraft to kill and maim as many civilians as possible. To the tactic of follow-on airstrikes designed to kill rescue workers, such as the intrepid White Helmets, who rush to the scene of an attack to save the innocent. And now to the busloads of refugees pouring out of Aleppo and the tens of thousands left behind to the tender mercies of the Assad regime and its Russian and Iranian allies.

Obama has borne witness to all of this, and more, and done nothing to stop it.

As with past atrocities, Aleppo’s destruction inspired much high-minded talk and the illusion of action. Endless meetings in the gilded palaces of Geneva and Vienna and elsewhere. Red lines drawn and transgressed with no consequences. Statements like this: “Should we really accept the notion that the world is powerless in the face of a Rwanda, or Srebrenica?” the president asked the U.N. General Assembly in 2013. “If that’s the world that people want to live in, they should say so, and reckon with the cold logic of mass graves.”

That reckoning is now upon us. The mass graves are before us, and the name Aleppo will echo through history, like Srebrenica and Rwanda, as a testament to our moral failure and everlasting shame. Even in a conflict that has killed nearly 500,000 people, driven half of Syria’s population from their homes, created the worst refugee crisis in Europe since World War II and spawned the terrorist army of the Islamic State — even amid all this horror and depravity, Aleppo stands out.

Aleppo may be lost, but the war in Syria is far from over. It will likely get worse as the Assad regime, Iran, Russia, Turkey, the Kurds, the Gulf states and others intensify their fighting over what is left of Syria’s carcass.

The United States still has a choice to make. The longer we wait to help end the war, the worse our options will become. But no one should believe that we have no choice.

We must acknowledge that we have a stake in what happens in Syria. It is not just about the suffering of others, as moving as that is. It is about the national security of the United States: The resurgence of al-Qaeda in Syria affects us. The rise of the world’s most advanced terrorist organization affects us, as we saw in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif. A refugee crisis that destabilizes allies such as Israel and Jordan and threatens the foundation of Western democracies affects us.

We must also acknowledge that Assad, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Qasem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Quds Force, will never be viable counterterrorism partners. In fact, the opposite is true. The Syrian regime, Russia and Iran are not fighting the Islamic State. Their indiscriminate slaughter of Syrian civilians is what created the conditions for the Islamic State’s emergence. The bloody siege of Aleppo will be a windfall for terrorist radicalization and recruitment. To think that we can destroy the Islamic State by throwing in our lot with those who are strengthening it every day is a dangerous fantasy.

Finally, we must acknowledge that ending the conflict in Syria will not be possible until Assad and his foreign backers realize they cannot succeed militarily. And make no mistake: Succeeding militarily is what they are trying to do. The fall of Aleppo will only encourage them to turn their guns on their next targets in Syria. We must recall the wisdom of former secretary of state George Shultz: “Diplomacy not backed by strength will always be ineffectual at best, dangerous at worst.”

Just because America cannot stop every horror in the world does not absolve us of the responsibility of using our great power to end the worst injustices where we can, especially when doing so would benefit our own interests and make the United States and our partners more secure. We do not need to become the world’s policeman to defend our interests. But we cannot wall ourselves off from the chaos of our dangerous world. And if we try, the instability, terror and destruction at the heart of that chaos will eventually make their way to our shores.

This statement by Senator John McCain is closer to the truth than most people recognise, and those who don't believe it should do their homework. This started as a peaceful rebellion but escalated into a Civil War when the Government security agencies and military started shooting unarmed civilians. The old city of Aleppo has been invaded by mostly foreign governments and paid mercenaries, (with less than 15% of casualties reported on the government side as being Syrian citizens), and they have evicted its residents, (most of whom supported the rebellion), who were defending themselves from a tyrannical dictatorship. The Rebels on the whole are not terrorists except for a handful who affiliated themselves with al qaeda. Those rebels defending their city were doctors, dentists, teachers, labourers, businessmen, traders and many other professions who were just trying to defend themselves and their families.
ISIS was started by the Syrian government some four and a half years ago when they let out a large group of political prisoners from gaol and put Republican Guard Officers in charge of them. Their role was to fight the Sunni Rebels behind their lines, and capture foreign fighters flocking to Syria to join the opposition. This later became the ji-hadis who wanted to be involved in a Holy War. The original organisation changed radically after their commanders were killed and others took their place. The Syrian Government (or should I say the Iran military, who now control almost everything in Syria from the "Glass House," near Damascus International Airport), although now fighting ISIS in a number of areas, also work with them in others, and buy almost all their crude oil from them.
I am well aware of foreign intervention and manipulation by all sides historically and those now involved in this conflict.

Almost all of the rebels native to Syria surrender and join the national guard.

Aleppo's "hospitals" were no longer such and had all been made into ammunition warehouses and the like.

UK didn't miss a beat, and have already injected twenty more "trainers", some at the rank of general.

Was that before or after Baghdadi met McCain and discussed how they would be supplied with weapons?

Much to my chagrin, that nest of spies was released in some kind of deal :/

The important thing is to minimize military and civilian casualties and save infrastructure.

Turkish army has lost to Islamic State four battles to the east of Aleppo and provided them with a few functional Leopard tanks. Despite the factional embroilments, Syrian and Russian Air Forces struck in support of the Turks. The whole province will probably be clear fairly soon.
