Obama vows action against Russia over election hacks
3 hours ago

US President Barack Obama has vowed to take action against Russia for
its alleged interference in the US presidential election campaign.

"We need to take action and we will," he told US radio station NPR.

Russia stands accused by the US of hacking the emails of the Democratic
Party and a key Hillary Clinton aide, which the Kremlin strongly denies.
Republican president-elect Donald Trump has also dismissed the claim
as "ridiculous" and politically motivated.

The intelligence agencies say they have overwhelming evidence that
Russian hackers linked to the Kremlin were behind the hacks.
And on Thursday, a White House spokesman said President Vladimir
Putin was involved in the cyber-attacks.Hours later, Mr Obama said:
"I think there's no doubt that when any foreign government tries to
impact on the integrity of our elections, that we need to take action
and we will, at a time and a place of our own choosing.

"Some of it may be explicit and publicised. Some of it may not be.

"Mr Putin is well aware of my feelings about this, because I spoke to him d

Just now listening to Obama in his last press speech he again states that Russia was responsible for the DNC hack. I really hope there is a way for Assange to prove it didnt come from Russia. Everything is pointing to the elite corrupt. If Obamas birth certificate is proved now to be a hoax would he lie about Russia and really wonder why he didn't come out before the election? This is just a bunch of nonsense from cry babies and Hillary is the loudest now claiming that is why she lost. What a joke she was her own enemy to blame.

US hacking claims: Clinton blames Russia and FBI boss for loss
1 hour ago

Former US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has for the first time
attributed her election defeat to Russian hacking.

She told party donors that President Putin had a "personal beef" against her for
describing Russia's parliamentary elections five years ago as rigged.

She also cited the release of a letter by FBI director James Comey as having lost
her close races in key states.

Meanwhile, the FBI has backed a CIA assessment of Russian intervention.

In a message to employees, seen by US media, CIA Director John Brennan said he
had met Mr Comey and US Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and
there was "strong consensus among us on the scope, nature, and intent of Russian
interference in our presidential election".

The creation of terrorism as a concept following some false flags was a great success for the empire as this allows for the invasion and subjugation of any country they can accuse of harbouring terrorsim, since no proof is needed. As it is not credulous to accuse Russia and China of harbouring terrorism, another ploy is needed. So comes the promotion of the concept of internet terrorism- hacking. In this world where most countries that have the capability are hacking each other it appears weird that only US is claiming itself the victim of hacking. I believe the game will be played bigger, for example, there can be a multi-state wide power outage which would be blamed on others as the result of hacking the electric grid system. In this way, as hacking is classified as an act of aggression by law in the us, it can launch any pre-emptive attack with justification.

Greenwald separated the denials that Russia did this––which he doesn’t
agree on––with reasonable skepticism of the report about a CIA assessment
on Russian election interference...

He told Carlson that the mere asking for evidence “subjects you to accusations
that you might be disloyal” in the “toxic environment” Democrats have created.

Greenwald recalled when the party mocked Mitt Romney four years ago for talking
about Russia posing a threat, and contrasted that with all the heated rhetoric
Democrats are throwing out now, “digging in further to this losing political attempt.”

GOP Rep Will Hurd Says We Should've 'Kicked the
Russian Ambassador Out of the US' Over Hacking

WpnJ5oi2azk

Published on 21 Dec 2016

While appearing on CNN’s New Day this morning, Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) stated
that he was fine with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s position that
there doesn’t need to be a select committee to investigate Russian hacking
of the election. However, he also highlighted that he would have liked to see a
stronger response to Russia and Vladimir Putin than President Obama’s
“cut it out.” Speaking to host Chris Cuomo, the former CIA officer explained
how the United States should have reacted to Russia.

“Knowing the tactics they use to gather information is also important in trying
to prevent certain outcomes from happening is important as well,” he noted.
“And this is something that there has to be a clear response to this behavior
so it doesn’t happen in the future.”

And what is that response?

“I’ve been calling for months at a minimum we should at least kicked the
Russian ambassador out of the United States,” Hurd stated. “It’s not enough
to tell someone to cut it out. There has to be a clear consequences to this
kind of behavior.”

When asked by Cuomo if he thinks we’ll see this happen, the GOP rep said
“we’ll see in the coming weeks.”

Hurd attempted to distance himself from President-elect Donald Trump during
his own re-election campaign, specifically after Trump’s infamous “grab ’em by
the pussy” hot mic moment. However, after Trump won the presidential election,
Hurd has seemingly warmed up to him. Trump has expressed doubts that Russia
had anything to do with hacking the election.

Assange and Hannity interview just out

Published on Jan 3, 2017

Tonight we were presented with the one-on-one interview between Sean Hannity and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. In the first segment that Hannity showed, Assange stated that Russia was not involved in providing WikiLeaks with the hacked emails from the DNC or John Podesta, and neither was a state party. Assange, who is confined to the Ecuadorean embassy in London due to a warrant for sexual assault in Sweden, was asked if President Barack Obama was lying when claiming Rushuaans were behind the hacks since Assange is saying Rushua wasn’t involved. “Well, he is acting like a lawyer,” he noted. “If you look at most of his statements he doesn’t say that. He doesn’t say WikiLeaks obtained its information from Rushua, worked with Rushua.” Later on, when describing why Obama had a dramatic response to Rushua via sanctions, Assange says he is “trying to delegitimize the Trump Administration as it goes into the White House.”Hannity Julian Assange FULL Interview 1/3/17. Sean Hannity gave us a preview of his revealing exclusive interview with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, which will air on Fox News Channel tonight at 10pm ET. Assange spoke for about 90 minutes at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he has remained for four-and-a-half years under threat of arrest. Hannity said they discussed "the state of journalism" in the United States and what was not covered by the media when it came to the contents of the hacked emails.

Donald Trump backs Julian Assange over Russia hacking claim

http://ichef-1.bbci.co.uk/news/660/cpsprodpb/47A0/production/_93263381_comp_976.jpg

Donald Trump has backed Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in casting doubt on
intelligence alleging Russian meddling in the US election.Mr Assange said Russia
was not the source for the site's mass leak of emails from the Democratic Party.
Mr Trump has now backed that view in a tweet. He wrote: "Assange... said
Russians did not give him the info!"

The president-elect has repeatedly refused to accept the conclusions of the US
intelligence community.Several US agencies including the FBI and the CIA believe
Russia directed hacks against the Democratic Party and the campaign of its
presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The information, released through Wikileaks
and other outlets, was intended to help Mr Trump win the election, say the FBI and
CIA.On Tuesday evening, Mr Trump said an intelligence briefing he was due to
receive on the issue had been delayed.

Julian Assange: Sweden drops rape investigation

The focus will now be on whether Mr Assange can leave the Ecuadorean embassy in London

Sweden has decided to drop the rape investigation into Wikileaks founder Julian
Assange.Top prosecutor Marianne Ny said his arrest warrant was being revoked as
it was impossible to serve him notice.Mr Assange, 45, has lived in the Ecuadorean
embassy in London since 2012. He fears extradition to Sweden would lead to
extradition to the US where he is wanted over leaks.

Ecuador has called on the UK to allow him safe passage out of the country.

However, police in London said they would still be obliged to arrest him if he left.

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) said Mr Assange still faced the lesser charge
of failing to surrender to a court, an offence punishable by up to a year in prison or
a fine. But the UK has not commented on whether it has received an extradition
request from the US, where Mr Assange could face trial over the leaking of
hundreds of thousands of secret US military and diplomatic documents.
