Russian ambassador to Turkey killed in Ankara shooting...

The Russian ambassador to Ankara has been killed in a gun attack at an art gallery in the Turkish capital, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.

Reports said Andrei Karlov was attending the opening of an exhibit at a contemporary arts centre when he was attacked. Karlov was several minutes into a speech at the exhibit when a man shouted “Allahu Akbar” and fired at least eight shots, according to an AP photographer who was present.

Despite this effort to cover up evidence of fakery, you can see that there is no red spray (forward blood splatter) coming from the ambassador’s supposed exit wound. The area is lily-white, so it seems more likely that his vest was blown forward by a movie squib.

This lack of any hint of forward blood splatter was something I noticed the very first time I saw the video, and other questions came to mind as well…

Why is the floor around his fallen body so immaculate when there should be a pool of blood?

Why was the assassin able to stand around and give his backstory for the attack without coming under fire?

Why were there no other policemen besides the assassin near the Russian ambassador?

Why were there no armed bodyguards from the Russian embassy near him?

Is it standard practice to leave an ambassador alone with NO SECURITY at a public event in a high-terror nation like Turkey?

The whole thing just didn’t add up to me. I live quite close to the art gallery that assasination happened. And here are my notes about small details that i haven't see mentioned in news:


1-
The art gallery's location is next to US embassy (literally, it is 10 meters away form the gallery).
Russian embassy building is also close to the gallery, about 5-10 minutes by walking from a quite crowded location. The location of the art gallery is full of bars and one of the centers of night life in ankara.
The "police officer" has evidences about strong connection with "gulen" movement, he probably has been planted by the movement as a sleeping cell back when they were quite strong inside the goverment.
The assasinator he has been sent to another city for duty by his superior (who has been arrested for being a member of the movement after the coup attempt) in the day of coup attempt and he also took 2 days off after the coup attempt.
The reported who was next to ambassador told that the assasinator has no motives of killing anyone except him, he even let reporters take his photos and then told them to leave the building


This assasination attempt reminds me of assasination of Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo. Someone is pushing too hard to start WW3, hope the world can see the right way and choose the peace path, we are passing from really hard days.

The assassination has not dented the recent reconciliation of Turkish/Russian
relations after the lows of the previous year , pre - coup attempt....

Whether the shooting was timed to coincide with the meetings below ? or a
protest against Russia's help of the Assad government in Syria ? It has not
achieved anything other than tighten their resolve for a peace full ending to
the Syrian civil war and focus on ISIS. If there is another motive for the
murder that is yet to be disclosed.....

Yes, just from a poor glimpse, looks like a .40/9mm/9 kurz, something along those lines, and who knows what the actual bullet was.

Proximity to American embassy perhaps explains initial report or perhaps confusion about an attack directed there as well...or maybe there were others involved?

Officer had been suspended during Gulenist interrogations, but was reinstated. Don't really see any "Sarajevo moment" happening here either. Most likely they will be increasing some security measures--which I'd guess this guy was able to figure out how thin they were, and plot his move precisely, without difficulty.

Russia has bounced back from near annihilation multiple times, I expect them to keep the fate of one person in perspective.

The first in the back should have slung him forward from the impact. Notice that, even though this is the highest level ambassador at a public event with other dignitaries there is not even one armed security or police authority to interrupt his rather long winded speech and the camera never stops rolling even after the gunman points the gun at the camera. Some of my observations maybe make it little bit clear the subject.

1-The assassin was the of duty police officer who shouldn't be there by the regulation.
2- Since High school he was raised and got help from Fundamentalist group(Gulen clan-FETO) to get appointed as an embassy guard. (they prepared him as a Presidential guard but his age didn't fit it.)
3- Turkey ,Iran, Russia have signed an agreement on Syria 2 days earlier which totally acts against US policy at that specific geographic location.
4- FETO leader Fetullah Guven is living 16 years at US- Pennsylvania with visitor visa, supported 2 upper ex CIA officers warrant.
5- 24 November 2015 Turkish army warplane shot down a Russian warplane in Turkish airspace which same pilot was arrested at July 16 2016 for bombing Turkish Parliament building(during coup attempt) He raised and got help for promoting to warplane pilot by same Secret organization -FETO
6- Pentagon strongly criticize CIA for acting behalf of some foreign country( interest) against US interest since 2012.

My question about point #1 is not knowing the regulation. In my area, off-duty police with guns are routinely employed as security, but of course that has nothing to do with either Turkey or the diplomatic level.

Our CIA mostly is directed by the State Department, so, it's kind of governmental, just without any kind of popular oversight, as Secretaries (like Secretary of State) are appointed positions. I would say they're basically out of control and recklessly stupid, which, so far, is the same thing that every soldier and marine has told me. Their support of Gulen would be another example of something they should have left alone. Actually, it would probably be really difficult to find an example of anything they've ever done that was any good.
