Remember the back channel communications censorship I talked about? I bet this is why!
America suddenly stopped all fuel supplies to Mexico, and it has created a crisis. This would be done in a run up to an ENORMOUS WAR.
Mexico suddenly ran out of gas this evening. There was no warning. Due to government policies, Mexico decided to remain dependent on American oil and gasoline. Pemex does not do much (if anything at all) with actually getting oil out of the ground. So Mexico is dependent completely on foreign oil and TODAY, WITHOUT WARNING, EVERY SINGLE GAS STATION SUDDENLY RAN COMPLETELY OUT OF GAS. THIS WOULD HAPPEN IF AMERICA SUDDENLY STOPPED SELLING OIL TO MEXICO TO BUILD UP SUPPLIES IN AMERICA FOR A HUGE WAR AND THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT SAID NOTHING ABOUT IT. SINCE WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT THE NEXT GAS WILL COME FROM CHINA AND THEY HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO ARRIVE, THAT SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY POSSIBILITY.
In the city I am in, Claudia and I went from station to station and arrived just as each station ran out of gas. And then panic set in, people started freaking out and mobbing whatever gas stations had any left. So I figured the neighboring state might have some, and have an old Fiat that sips gas like a mosquito (seriously, it is amazing) and had enough gas to drive into the neighboring state and back and still drive for a while if we found none. And it was obvious we were leading the pack out of town in a panic to find gas elsewhere.
I got to the first station in the neighboring state, and it had gas. So we topped it off totally. And then I drove into a medium sized city, bought 10 liter water bottles, found another station there AND GOT THE LAST GAS OUT OF THAT STATION. The pump was blowing air bubbles into the last bottle but we managed to get enough gas to drive at least 1500 KM. Then all the stations ran out of gas there too. We got word from that station that there will be no more gas until next year for the entire country.
HEADS UP: WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT THE NEXT GAS TO BE SOLD IN MEXICO WILL COME FROM CHINA AND NOT THE U.S.
AMERICA STOPPED SELLING GAS TO MEXICO ALL OF A SUDDEN AND MEXICO NOW HAS TO WAIT FOR TOTALLY UNSCHEDULED TANKERS TO ARRIVE FROM CHINA BEFORE THERE WILL BE ANY MORE GAS. There were street explanations made by common people, such as one of the refineries is having a problem but I know what refinery it is they were talking about and it has numerous cracking facilities and there is no way it could just go down. So that story is B.S.
Mexicans are also tweeting everywhere that it is just a game the government is playing and that they want to get the gas from China because it will be cheaper and the government will sell it for more and make a pile of cash. But that does not wash AT ALL because you don't just suddenly hang a country with zero fuel. THE FIRST CARS WERE ALREADY STALLED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHEN WE WERE COMING BACK. People are ALREADY running out of gas because you can't buy it anywhere. Mexico is heading straight into an enormous crisis.
COLD HARD FACT WITH ALL OF THIS: This is a total hairbinger of war on the horizon. You could not get a better early indicator of an impending war than this, because absent the need to keep all the gas in preparation for war, why on earth would America just suddenly cut off the supply? War is the only plausible answer. WAR TO KEEP TRUMP FROM TAKING OFFICE. THIS IS YOUR EARLY WARNING, GET READY NOW.
Final comments (for now)
I just spoke to other Mexicans, and they said this has never happened before EVER. There have been times when individual stations ran out of a particular grade of gas, but not all gas, and NEVER at all stations. This is a totally unique situation that has NEVER happened before EVER. Trolls will hit this topic and poke fun at Mexico and they will tell you to ignore this. DO NOT IGNORE THIS, it is a HUGE situation and a genuinely unique occurrence. Even taxi cabs are stalled now, this is HUGE.
It is like someone just suddenly pulled the plug without warning, family in another city tweeted they could not get gas, so we checked where we live and stations were closing left and right as their pumps suddenly ran dry (because the ones that still had gas were getting mobbed and drained) and then we drove out of state and the stations there were running out of gas also. We got the last of it out of the second station we got gas from (fortunately) right when we maxed out what we could get. We're set for months with careful driving because that Fiat eats so little gas, and no, I feel lucky, not selfish because though for us it was a lot of gas, we only got enough to top off a large SUV. our gas is not just going to blow out a 4 inch exhaust pipe.
I am worried, because if gas really is going to take as long to arrive as they say, people are going to FREAK OUT. It might be dangerous to have a car that is still going.
I have not been able to find anything on other news websites concerning this at present.

UPDATE on the Mexican gasoline shortage
Question: What cities are out of gas? My response: That's hard to know. But at present, it appears problems are happening in Guadalajara, and DEFINITE: The city of Leon and outlying areas with a population of 2 million is completely out of gas at all pumps and all gas stations in the entire city. All other cities in the state of Gunanajuato are confirmed to be completely out of gas. The state of Queretaro is out of gas. The state of Chihuahua is confirmed to be completely out of gas. All Texas border areas in Mexico are confirmed out of gas. That would strongly imply that the city of Monterrey is out of gas. And since these states range from south central Mexico all the way North, the gas crisis is obviously huge.
Claudia just got back from a Christmas party that was heavily weighted with Mexico's upper class, and in their circles nothing is confirmed as to why this is happening other than ALL gas is going to be coming from China now. That is why I issued the war warning in the original report on this because if that be the case, WHY IS IT THE CASE? They are not saying it is because of any war but maybe they did not think of that because they are not in on whatever this is. One huge factor is that this is all such a huge surprise. This morning everything was fine. In the evening NO GAS. So everyone is running like a chicken with it's head cut off
There is a side issue that should not have taken effect yet - Mexico has a new energy policy that regulates the gas stations, and all of the stations have to sign it or they will receive no gas. However, action on this was supposed to start on January 1 and the cutoff was not supposed to be instant. So though that needs to be considered in the future, it should not have done anything today.
Mexican perception is that the government is playing games, and simply cut off imports from the U.S. so they can get them from China instead and make more money. But it would be beyond stupid to just stop importing from America and ing for the slow boat to arrive while the nation crashes. The only thing that makes sense is that America cut off exports, and Mexico has to scramble to get gas from anywhere possible. And if that most rational outcome is what is at play here, stockpiling by the U.S. in preparation for a MAJOR war is the only conceivable reason.
Seems he mentions people at a Chrstmas party discusing it . Would indicate pretty recent event.

it doesn't logic though... we have reserves, we aren't stupid and wouldn't give away even "meta" data before going to a war...
Mexico has oil reserves up near 10 billion barrels and it's own petroleum producing company PEMEX, 7th largest producer in the world.... (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_reserves_in_Mexico)
and besides, we import oil FROM mexico (http://www.npr.org/2012/04/11/150444802/where-does-america-get-oil-you-may-be-surprised)... so this is all backwards.

BREAKING: Warning on gasoline shortage in Mexico
Baja NoMas
Fulano – 12-18-2016
GUADALAJARA – In a letter directed to President Enrique Peña Nieto, the Mexican Association of Gas Station Operators warned there is an imminent risk of a gasoline shortage starting on January 1, 2017 in the entire country. This is due to the manner in which Pemex has warned them to sign new contracts consistent with the energy reform law.
The association explained in its letter that at the end of last November Pemex Industrial Transformation notified some gas stations of the adjustments to the contracts for the sale and marketing of fuel, and gave a them a period of 10 days to sign, unconditionally, to the new contracts for 3-1/2 or 7 years.
“It was impossible over a period of 10 days for the 11,444 gas station businesses in Mexico to decide on the new contracts. Even worse is that at the Pemex gas storage terminals they are applying radical measures, such as denying distribution of fuel to gas stations which have not signed that they have received the new contracts. Pemex is using discriminatory tactics, with threats they will not have fuel starting January 1, 2017,” said the letter.
For the association, made up of 350 businesses with more than 1,200 gas stations in 32 Mexican states, the pressure from Pemex is incongruent, as the price of gasoline will be set by the free market starting on February 1, 2017 only in the states of Baja California and Sonora.
The letter asks the president of Mexico to guarantee the supply of fuel and to authorize a period of 90 days to review the new contracts and 180 days to formalize them.

Speculation: A gas shortage could be caused in the same manner as a cash shortage - by a run on the banks, or in this case, a run on the gas stations.
Perhaps the upcoming problems that ramus reports in his post above, anticipating a gas shortage due to the new contracts required by the energy reform law, caused people to start to stock up on gas, just in case. That could in turn cause a few stations to run out, and then word of mouth could cause more buying of gas.

I live in Mexico and there is plenty of gas everywhere in the country. This story is not accurate.
Starting from January 1st 2017, Mexico will open it's doors to foreign companies that sell gasoline. It is only Mexican gasoline for sale coming from Pemex now.

I evaluated this is a false story, but in the 25 December edition of the Indian Economic Times (part of the respected Times of India), there's this report. It indicates that there is indeed some kind of problem, though this may be very far from a 'war warning'!

Ten Mexican states hit by gasoline shortages, Pemex blames theft from pipelines
Mexico City: At least 10 Mexican states over the past few days have suffered serious gasoline shortages, which the state oil company Pemex attributes to the clandestine theft of fuel from the pipelines.
"We are currently taking various measures to re-establish the adequate and opportune supply of gasoline and diesel to the country," Pemex tweeted.
As local media have reported over the past few hours, the lack of fuel at gas stations affects at least 10 states of the nation, Efe news agency reports.
The states hardest hit are Michoacan, which on Friday reported severe problems in several cities due to the lack of fuel, as well as Aguascalientes, Guanajuato and Zacatecas.
Other regions like Oaxaca, Chihuahua, Guerrero, Morelos, Puebla, Tlaxcala, San Luis Potosí and Durango are also experiencing gasoline shortages in a number of their cities.
On December 21, Pemex announced the suspension of operations on the Salamanca-Leon pipeline due to clandestine drainage, which interrupted the arrival of fuel to a number of regions around the country.
Pemex explained in a video that when the system detects a drop in pressure at some point in the 17,000-km network of pipelines, distribution is suspended for safety reasons until company personnel go to the problematic site to test it and repair the defect.
According to Forbes, besides the problem of clandestine theft, the lack of fuel in certain areas is also due to maintenance of the Cadereyta Refinery in the northern state of Nuevo Leon, and a new system of billing by Pemex Refining.

The current situation in regards of gasoline shortage in some cities or states in Mexico is because of speculation that there will be an increase in gasoline prices starting from the 1st of January 2017. So the owners of gasoline stations are saying there isn't enough gasoline around and so the increase prices and make more money. Rumors spread and people start panic buying and very long queues are formed.
To me it seems that if there is a lack of gasoline in a few cities it's to put fear into people's mind and so when the new prices come into effect starting next year, people will be happy to fill their tank and pay whatever the amount.
There's always been the problem of clandestine theft.
In Baja California Sur (where I live) there is no shortage of gasoline, but I guess you are right there might be a shortage in a few places.

I well remember back in the early to mid 70's, there was a gas shortage in California. We had to wait in our cars in long lines to get gas for long periods(wasting gas in order to get gas). The cars in line went around blocks. There was a mandate that if your license plate ended in odd or even number that you could only gas up on alternate days.
Right in the middle of this, my husband was transferred to the East Coast of USA. We were pleasantly surprised that there were no lines at the gas stations, and - thinking that the shortage was over - we exclaimed our glee to new neighbors that finally the shortage was over.
They replied: What shortage. Apparently there never was a problem on the East Coast.
Hello --- many refineries in California . . so why was the shortage there?!?! Just more political manipulation.
My point - it can happen in one part of the country for reasons that serve some agenda - and other parts of the country are unaware of the problem - especially if the media is complicit and doesn't report it. (and we here on PA know how that goes)

Sudden 20% fuel price hike causes protests & looting across Mexico (https://www.rt.com/news/372720-mexico-protests-fuel-price/)

Looting and scuffles with police are being witnessed in several states across Mexico, as protests erupt amid a 20 percent fuel price hike. More than 150 people have been detained, with dozens of shops suffering damage, and highways blocked.
The 20.1 percent hike was announced on January 1, AFP reports. It immediately led to coordinated action in the central states of Mexico, Hidalgo, and Michoacan. There, the National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores reported 79 shops looted and more than 170 blocked.
b0lGazeBs2o
There were 161 arrests across six municipalities in the state of Mexico - 35 of them minors - for "various acts of vandalism and thefts at shops," according to AFP.
Mexico City Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera said 64 arrests were made in the capital alone. At least 23 shops were looted in the capital. According to media reports, the groups looting the stores were using motorcycles and pickup trucks to make off with stolen goods.
The government condemned the situation in a statement, saying "some groups of people have seized on the situation to commit thefts and acts of vandalism under the pretext of protesting the liberalization of the price of gasoline."
President Enrique Pena Nieto defended the increase in price, saying it was precipitated by a global oil price hike.
"I understand the irritation and anger among the population," he said, adding that raising prices was the less damaging solution for the economy, AP reported. The measure is part of sweeping reforms that lead up to March, when the market will dictate the pricing. "If this decision had not been taken, the effects and consequences would have been far more painful."
On Wednesday, 20 more protests erupted across Mexico in the course of the day, federal police reported. The blockades affected the distribution of fuel on Tuesday, the state energy company Pemex said, following the price hike.
The company called the situation "crucial" in the northern states of Chihuahua and Hidalgo, and said they threatened the operation of airports in Chihuahua and in Baja California.

The Mexican economy is in a lot of problems since the price of oil went down, so the government decided to increase the price of gasoline (20%) instead of increasing taxes. The Mexicans are protesting all over the country because they had enough if this corrupt and useless administration. I have to say the looting that we are seeing are paid stooges by the government to create chaos and bring the police and the army out on the streets. (Problem, reaction, solution.)
Due to protests and blockades of gasoline trucks, gasoline stations aren't getting it to sell to the public, but there is gasoline in the country.

We still have protests all over the country due to the increase of 20% on the price of gasoline. Like always, the administration of the president Enrique Pena Nieto keeps telling the people that everything is alright and that we have cheaper gasoline than many countries. Majority if politicians get vouchers to pay for gasoline, while the ordinary people don't.
The people are very upset because Mexico has plenty of oil and we send our oil to the U.S. the get it converted into gasoline, when we can do that. So we know that there is corruption involved in it.
The people in the northern states of Mexico are buying gasoline in the U.S. because it's cheaper.
I haven't posted any videos or information because it's in Spanish and it is under reported around the world.
I will keep you posted as things move on.
