I do not understand your claim that Kerry is suddenly a traitor. Traitor to whom?

His speech today is completely consistent with his postion for the last four years:

Mr Kerry said: "The two-state solution is the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians. It is the only way to ensure Israel's future as a Jewish and democratic state. That future is now in jeopardy.

"Friends need to tell each other the hard truths, and friendships require mutual respect. The United States did in fact vote in accordance with our values, just as previous US administrations have done at the Security Council before us."

He added: "The Israeli prime minister publicly supports a two-state solution, but his current coalition is the most right-wing in Israeli history with an agenda driven by the most extreme elements.

"The result is that policies of this government, which the prime minister himself just described as more committed to settlements than any Israel's history, are leading in the opposite direction. They are leading towards one state."



And yes, of course it's done before the upcoming talks. It's his last chance to influence the looming disaster of a surge in Israeli settlement building on the West Bank, as it's pretty clear that Trump will give such a move his blessing. I see it as a warning to Israel to keep negotiating with the Palestinians to achieve a two state solution.

Kerry's position is the same as Obama's has been for his entire presidency. The settlements are ILLEGAL. I note that all members of the security council voted approval except for the US abstention. That includes Jordan, New Zealand and France. It is rumored that Theresa May worked behind the scenes to get the resolution passed.
Israel was created in 1948. Israel has NEVER lived up to its share of the agreement. Never even tried to. And now Israel is ruled by far right radicals. Until the Israeli government becomes more centrist this will continue to happen. Bibi Netanyahu is Israel's worst enemy. It is a rather symbolic statement, but it needs to be said.
I for one am glad that Israel is finally being called out in public at the UN on the settlements issue.

I have not been a fan of Israel's actions towards the Palestinian people, but whatever George Soros and his Obama administration puppets want, I'm against. So I guess that means I have to actually side with Netanyahu for once. I don't believe the state of Israel should have ever been recreated in the first place, but the fact is that it exists now and it's surrounded by increasingly chaotic and extremist Islamic forces that the globalists seem to love pushing on the West.

I've become convinced that "something" has happened to the Rothschild family's agenda and/or power base as well. They used to be propping Israel up at all costs. Ah - that doesn't mean to me that the Trump is a biological clone. It means to me that he (who ever he is) decided to "work with" (not continue to attack as one of his public enemies) Israel. It might be the same being, same body, same Trump, who decided to make a "practical" choice.

My take is that Trump is determined to win (what isn't clear to me), and that this involves making some changes, and undergoing some more, substantial, imposed, changes. Part of his schtick is to dramatize some "enemies" and to "take the side of" those he's winning over to his side, attacking these enemies. He knows he can't pick all the possible enemies to attack; he's not all powerful. Somewhere along the way, perhaps when you note, Trump decided to remove Israel from his list of public enemies that he regularly attacks. He's also ceased attacking the US military, choosing instead to say he's for a stronger military. Recently, following his election win, he's also removed the Clintons from his enemies list that he regularly attacks.

Yes, so far as I know, the murderous brutality of Israel towards its "neighbors" is a crime against humanity, as you portray in your analogy using the US and Mexico. But whether or not Trump privately thinks the same on this, publicly he keeps things simple, for a wider audience. It seems that this token effort by the Obama administration in acknowledging the illegality of the ongoing settlement building is just a that: a token gesture which projects the illusion that the current administration does care about the Palestinians rather than just giving the illusion of doing so, an illusion it has maintained for the last 7 years and 11 months.
No doubt Trump, driven by his close friendship with Bibi will do everything in his power to role back this latest, toothless, geopolitical developement. Never thought I'd say this but Kudos to Kerry for outlining the finer details of what's been happening. Better late than never. Of course the fact that he's a bonesman means I'm still keeping some judgement in reserve. No doubt there's a bigger agenda at play and this is the thesis/antithesis which will lead to some as yet undeclared synthesis.
