http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2NAohPcT4U I find this use of energy very interesting and it's amazing how someone can focus the energy in and around them.

I've seen this before, it is amazing what people can do. And to think I can only create warmth to heal, this guy can set paper on fire! :clapping:

yes, this stuff has done the rounds several times.
But it's really fascinating and deserves periodic re-airings.

I wasn't sure if this short video had been on the forum before,but I expected some members to have seen things that are similar. I have experienced the chi /energy (not like video) but I think we can all tap into our own energy as he said in the clip and we can practice and become better at tapping into it. I'm always amazed at the power we all have within ourselves and any one who hasn't seen too much about this subject it's well worth researching :sun: also worth looking up Qigong

Here is more about him. The video shows in addition, how Chang uses his energy to shield his hand against a bullet, measurements at his body, and lighting LEDs with his hands. But it also shows why he has decided to never show is abilities in public again.

Hi Ashy67,

There's another clip somewhere where John Chang is interviewed
and he explains that his abilities come from meditation.

Interestingly Li Ching Yuen (the guy that reputedly lived over 250 years)
See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Ching-Yuen
Was also a qi gong practitioner.
See this book, for example:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Qigong-Teachings-Taoist-Immortal-Essential/dp/0892819456

You might also be interested in Yellow Bamboo.
It's another system of cultivating internal chi energy
... very like nei kung and qi gong, etc.
Yellow Bamboo has witnessed some truly remarkable results in practitioners.
(But note... there was a savage media 'debunking' campaign against it....
which i'm lead to understand was pure propaganda
Perhaps someone doesn't want Yellow Bamboo to become popular)

John Chang has lived a monks level life around the practice of this energy control. It is not an easy life.

What I hope is that our species is going through change and that will bring us nearer to this energy manipulation. Bring it it to the daily norm.

Bring us back to being able to use it, I say bring us back because stories of old say we had it 'Atlantis' and 'Lemuria'
great images and maps here:

Thanks lucidity, I will have a look at your suggestions. I find this subject so interesting and I think it's proof of universal energy which connects all things.

It should be noted that abilities like setting a paper on fire is a side effect of long term practice, and varies from lineage to lineage. Other Neigong/Qigong traditions may employ different vibrations. Demonstrations like that also take a lot of condensed energy that would actually be contraindicated when working on the delicate energy body of a living being.

In the therapy practice I do people do oftentimes feel heat/cold, or even mild electric shocks. It can happen in person, but also when doing a distance projection from my home office as well. Far more important however is experiencing spiritual lightness, emotional release and feeling "oneself" again. :)

Mel Gibson's Supernatural Encounter with a Chi Kung Master Shocks Joe Rogan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKOurjKFOL8 (12:28)
This video is more about Chi and John Chang, rather than Mel Gibson but was amazing to think this inner power could be harnessed. Just as interesting was this anecdote posted under the YT video:

"Here in South Africa, there was an old uncle at the Chinese Mall. He had a shop and used to sell PS1 games and other electronics with his wife. Every month, I would save up and go buy games there. They grew fond of me, and the man would tell me stories of how he use to be an fighter back home and how he would beat groups of thugs back home who tried to steal from old sellers at the market. I listened, but I never really believed him, and he seemed to have picked up. One Saturday, I went there, and he told me he was trained as an assassin as well and he said he could put a needle in his mouth and blow it into someones eye and it would be enough to unalive that person. I thought he was joking and so he demonstrated it. He took a needle, put it in his mouth, took a breath and blew the needle hard onto his counter next to the cash till, and the needle penetrated the wooden counter so deep that only a small piece was sticking out. I tried puling the needle out, but I couldn't. It was stuck. I asked him how it was possible and he said its "Chi" energy and I had no clue what he was talking about cos I was a kid. Now I understand better what he meant. The human body, mind and soul is incredible. We are truly made in God's image, we just need knowledge to reach our full potential."

The above is certainly a cautionary tale isn't it..... and illustrates why John Chang was upset with himself (see post 5 from Olaf and the bit at the end of the video....) when he got carried away after he pushed the CHOPSTICK through the wooden and Formica table top...then swiped it away... cutting his own hand and a splinter went into the middle of the woman's eyes... drawing blood....

How symbolic and amazing that the splinter went there...in the 3rd eye position - then John Chang was berated and chastised by his long dead Master about the perils of misusing the Chi Powers all through the next night and was never seen in public again !!

He mentioned somewhere about his meditation involving controlling emotions and he let his emotions get away from him very briefly at that dinner table...and his public demonstrations were over....

It's all extremely fascinating stuff - and one can see how the chi power might be abused and used for harm

...BUT.... when harnessed and used for healing and enlightenment is the greatest power on Earth.... :pray:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
edit to add an after thought....
of course...we don't know how true the story in the YT comment is.... it may have been added to lower the chi energy around the video... or it may be 100% true... I suppose, though, the 'chi' is in itself neutral so could be applied to different situations 'good' and 'bad'.... in this physical reality one could surmise that the 'good' and 'bad' are pretty evenly balanced.... hence the continual struggles (which could be just how it's meant to be....? while here....?)
:thumbsup:
