Growing up I learned language and thought defined my reality. Later on that was scrambled a bit and brought into a different reality. I ended up seeing myself in a whole new understanding. The future and past we're all explainable, I didn't need to be like evil stewey from family Guy and make a time machine.

Yes but that doesn't leave 'reality' itself off the hook either.

If reality is thought/ thought is reality, where is the escape?

Language and thought define duality. Reality is duality infused with nonduality. Nothing unconscious. Awareness is the Reality.

What is defined (manifested) isn't and what isn't defined is.
