''There are people who write to me, saying; when is the cavalry coming? And I say, well.., go look in the mirror"
Excellent interview of Bill Ryan by Inelia, one to watch and refresh your mind, as we all are suffering from amnesia.
As for the raw vegan diet, I try eating raw and fresh foods as much as possible and do heavy metal detox, and oh boy, it really clears and optimizes your thinking and body proceses!

For me too, my insomnia goes away, as well as PMS and a lot of other issues I have with my health when I go fully raw vegan but there is one thing people need to know before getting into this : the consumption of cooked food, lots of it tends to get the energy to be used for digestion but when digesting raw food, that energy comes back and the numbing of emotions is gone. So a big flow of emotions come sup and it is not always easy to keep up with it, more than dealing with other challenges brought up by raw food ( eating enough and finding balance between different groups of food and balance nutrients and minerals etc. ).

This effect is due to the wonders of enzymes. Cooking destroys essential digestive enzymes that are readily available in raw foods. The temperature above which enzymes are rendered inactive is around 112 to 115 F. Enzymes are necessary for digestion, therefore the internal organs (mainly pancreas) sacrifice theirs for the purpose. Trouble is, the organs need the enzymes for their own functions. Over time the organ will fail because it is exhausted and cannot provide them any longer.
All who eat cooked foods must ingest supplemental enzymes. Digestion is enhanced and the donor organs get relief. Enzymes are needed for a variety of bodily functions, not just digestion. They are catalyst proteins and very, very important.

I've just been listening to this and thought it was worth posting. This thread seemed like a good place for it.
Joan Gregerson talks to Bob Charles about good food attitude.

I've tried veganism. I love the idea of it. I might even try it again. But I just wilt without meat.
I did my vegan experiement with a friend. This was in my mid 20's. Neither of us did the proper preparation..we just jumped right in. Looking back, we definitely ate too much tofu. And I was farting non stop. It was insane. It was like a bad case of the hiccups...only it lasted 4 months. It was utterly unrelenting.....but I was determined.
After 4 months we called it quits. For me it was the farting that did it, but for my buddy it was something much more serious: man boobs. I'm not joking. after 4 months, the dude had boobs. On top of the tofu, he was drinking large quantities of soy milk..which contain feminizing elements that increase estrogen in men. I was lucky, I was drinking water mainly.
My questions for anyone who wants to answer are these:
1) how do vegans get collagen in their diet?
2) how do they get omega 3's?

Hi Mike.
As I understand it, collagen is synthesised within the human body (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collagen). It’s not something we need to consume (well I haven't eaten any for over 15 years and I'm still very much here!).
Re’ omega 3 (https://plenteousveg.com/vegan-sources-omega-3/), flax seeds (ground or they just go straight through!!), hemp seeds and chia seeds are the highest vegan sources followed by mustard oil, seaweed, beans (ideally sprouted) winter squash,
leafy greens, cabbages, berries, mangoes, honeydew melon.
Hope that helps.

I was a primarily live foods vegan for a number of years, though I was still eating a minimum of some cooked foods like baked potatoes.
It was incredibly cleansing and I lost a lot of weight, but then I was also working out regularly, so that also had a lot to do with it.
I incorporated a lot of sprouted foods into my diet, was juicing a lot and taking Spirulina daily and other things regularly like bee pollen.
I was avoiding soy for the most part, but ate a lot of sprouted legumes.
I was working for Viktoras Kulvinskas at the time, and part of a community that was focusing on the same kind of diet, so it was easy to stay on track.
These days I am cooking more and eating organic dairy and eggs again, and not feeling as great, though my diet is still pretty clean, but my lifestyle has changed since then and isn't so supportive of the live foods diet, unfortunately.
But I would love to do it again.
It's a lot easier if you have support.
