How was the image created? I was scrolling through the crowds and I just happened across an extremely strange artefact... I don't know what to make of it. Was this giga-picture a composite image, and this Waldo-like character just merged between two pictures, or what?

Edit:

Scrolling out some, i found another guy cut in half. If you want to look for yourself, these anomalies are midway between the white tent and the photographer's scaffolding where the camera was located (on the right side of the image)

I was thinking there could be time travelers at the inauguration or partial people from a parallel dimension. The Asian guy could be holding an IPhone 15. Another possibility is there's a glitch in the software of the camera.

This is from Google Street View.

Definitely a fun aberration. So many possible explanations -- from technical glitches to even sloppy, hurried editing to obscure a couple of people who didn't want to be seen at the ceremony. The imagination can run wild with intrigue but the mystery remains even if the most likely explanation is obvious.

Here's a photo I took a couple weeks ago while hiking in the Cajas National Park in Ecuador. Somehow the sky took out a section of the mountain. Go figure.

That's what happens with composite panorama (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_stitching)... and moving objects as with time lapse pictures/videos.
