Does anyone use the chat function?

I use it from time to time. Have a two person chat with myself. The next person that shows up must think I'm crazy. :der:

Has been empty for years. Once upon a time it was a regular hangout for some nice people.

Perhaps we could do a chat night once in a while? although we are all across the world and in different time zones I'm sure we could agree to a time that suits most people.

Maybe Bill can moderate once in a while? :)

The way it works (open in a different tab) is not conducive to what you want to do, there should be a "widget" loaded on every page of the forum (with an option to turn it off) that automatically logs you into the chat.. I've seen it on other sites, works great; though it can get a bit much if too many people participate.

I check in from time to time. And as TargeT mentioned I open it in a new tab. With Google Chrome I don't get a notification sound though while on a different tab..
A few months back there was the suggestion at Monday and Thursday to discuss a certain topic (time set also). It worked, and back then people showed up more often during other times too.

There was also a thread - so the thread also was a reminder that their is a chat function :happythumbsup:

Thanks though, never even noticed it. Will pop in more now that I know. Kinda like being at the pub (an empty monday evening pub in Stoke on Trent is what it looks like right now). I'll just chat with the barman. Another glass of Merlot if you will! ;)
