New Zealand whales: Hundreds more stranded.

The mass stranding of whales on a remote beach in New Zealand has taken a turn for the worse as 240 more arrived.

Earlier on Saturday, volunteers had refloated some 100 of the more than 400 pilot whales which beached on Thursday.

But a human chain, with volunteers wading neck-deep into the water, failed to prevent a fresh pod making landfall.

The whale stranding, at Farewell Spit at the top of South Island, is one of the worst ever in New Zealand. Dozens of volunteers turned out to help.

More than 300 of the 400 original arrivals died while medics and members of the public tried to keep survivors alive by cooling them with water.

It is not clear why the whales continue to arrive on the 5km-long (three mile-long) beach next to Golden Bay.

One theory is that they may have been driven on to land by sharks, after bite marks were found on one of the dead whales.

Sometimes the whales are old and sick, injured, or make navigational errors particularly along gentle sloping beaches.

Whales that become beached will send out distress signals attracting other members of their pod, who then also get stranded by a receding tide.

Are whales attempting suicide when they strand themselves?

Andrew Lamason, from New Zealand's department of conservation, said those refloated had been tagged, whereas the latest arrivals were not, indicating that they were a new group.

He said 20 whales had been humanely killed by conservation workers as they were in a poor condition.

Officials have also been looking into how best to dispose of the whale carcasses.

Mr Lamason said that simply towing them out to sea could be problematic as they may become gaseous and buoyant and float into populated bays.

The latest incident in New Zealand was first reported on Thursday evening, but conditions were too dangerous at the time to launch a rescue operation.

New Zealand has one of the highest stranding rates in the world, with about 300 dolphins and whales ending up on beaches every year, according to Project Jonah.

Many of these incidents happen at Farewell Spit.

In February 2015 about 200 whales beached themselves at the same location, of which at least half died.

Conservation workers and volunteers were hoping to refloat at least some of the surviving whales at high tide Friday. If that fails, they were planning a second attempt Saturday. Holiday makers are joining in the rescue.

Military Sonar is a possible cause.

I am sorry to be the one that has to tell you the truth about that.
Everybody knows why whales and such strand on beaches, but nobody dares to tell the public about it. So here you go:
These poor animals are already sentenced to death, nothing can or will help them now. They will die, nothing can be done about that. All These People pushing them into the water again only make it worse. But they have no clue whatsoever of what is going on.
Lets start with what happened to these nice animals. As some of you know they whales and dolphines opperate with something similar to sonar to find Food and to comunicate. What most People are not Aware of is that Military ships have Sonars on board that are 10000 times stronger than what These Animals are using. If some whales are somewhat deeper in the Ocean and a big, bad military Ship is above them and is sending out their badass Ultra loud Sonar these Animals get hurt in the head extreemly. Ist like sticking Knives in our Ears. They are so hurt and in pain that they Panic and no matter how deep they where just rush to the Surface. That causes their blood to have bubbles of Oxygen in them (divers sickness). Its so bad that they are beyond help. They loose their orientation and are still in a hell of pain. In the end they just die in the ocean or Surface on some beach. The Military knows this. But they dont give a f***.

That is truly sad and if that is indeed the case, we need to understand what frequency range the whales are sensitive to and change the output of the Sonar as required.
It's a good bet the military or even commercial fishermen will not stop using Sonar any time soon.
But how about some compassion for our fellow sentient beings?

Worst stranding in decades: Over 300 pilot whales die in New Zealand

Most of the 415 whales that washed up on a narrow sand spit in Golden Bay,
New Zealand died by Thursday night, while scores of volunteers armed with
blankets struggled to keep the surviving animals wet to refloat them during
a life-saving tide. According to Auckland University Marine Biologist Rochelle
Constantine, the event was the nation's third largest recorded stranding. The
biggest was in 1918, when about 1,000 pilot whales came ashore on the
Chatham Islands. In 1985 about 450 whales were stranded in Auckland.

The biggest [stranding] was in 1918, when about 1,000 pilot whales came ashore on the
Chatham Islands.... no human made acoustic nor plastic pollution explanations for that one... but... tectonic triggering of piezoelectric minerals is a possibility.

I am sending the stranded whales healing and power energy.
Also I am asking for their forgiveness.
Whales and dolphins could probably be more intelligent and emotional than humans.

Sometimes I am more compassionate to dolphins and whales than to people. I wonder why.
Please spiritually assist and ease the suffering for the whales.

Thanks
Joy and happiness

Largest “Whale Sentinel” Beaching In Human History Prompts Russian Navy Evacuation
By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers
An astonishing Ministry of Defence (MoD) “urgent action” report circulating in the Kremlin today says that the Main Command of the Navy has just issued a “red sail notice” to all Federation surface and underwater vessels to immediately evacuate a 45.7 million square kilometer (28.4 million square miles) “active zone” comprising a vast area of the Southern, Indian and Pacific Ocean regions due to a “warning confirmation equation” established “as true” that a catastrophic earthquake/tsunami event is due to occur—and as confirmed by the largest “beaching/stranding” of “Whale Sentinels” in known human history presently occurring in New Zealand. [Note: Some words and/or phrases appearing in quotes in this report are English language approximations of Russian words/phrases having no exact counterpart.

According to this report (and virtually unknown in the West), Federation scientists at the P.P.Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IO-RAS) have for decades been proving their hypothesis that whales, dolphins, and certain other sea mammals, appear to have sometime in our Earth’s most ancient past been genetically “modified/engineered” to be “biological sentinels” and serve as a type of “light device/beacon” in pre-warning of catastrophic “sea events” for the protection of “humankind”.
