I did on Turiya's thread out of respect for the pro nature of that one.....


After yesterdays sacking of Gen Flynn , the US foreign policy is stabalising
as usual it seems . Trump is a better option than Hillary but we are seeing that
its business as usual as the 'Deep State' closes in.......I hope I'm wrong but its
not looking to good at the moment with hostile rhetoric to Iran , warnings to China
distancing from Russia and back in bed with Israel. Will he be able to do anything
against ISIS ? His main mantra is jobs and he is working very hard for the US
public , but he will soon find out the mil ind complex employs a lot of people and
has a lot of power with other corporations in Washington. Steve Bannon has a vision
of change but he may well be the next casualty as Trump gets swallowed in the
swamp.I still think he is genuine in his vision and hopes but events will decide
either way.

Ok.... since one of the leaks is a written transcript about the phone call that Flynn had with the ambassador, I would suggest that at least that leak has about 99,9% chance of coming from the intelligence agencies, and the NSA in particular.

He knows that too of course and the fact that he tries to hide that and plays innocent reveals what team he plays on.

That and the fact that he wants to focus on the investigation about how Russia (allegedly) interfered in the election.

Both historically and culturally.

Yet, Crimea has not always belonged to the Russian empire.
It was from around 1745 that Crimea became Russian territory.

Then under USSR governance in 1954, Crimea was transferred to the territory of Ukrainian SSR (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1954_transfer_of_Crimea) in an administrative action.
Ukraine and Russia where one federation at that time and the idea was that it did not matter much who governed that peace of land at the time.
Then USSR fell apart and Ukraine ended up with Crimea and Eastern Ukraine as new territory.
Still occupied by Russians, but until the CIA lead rise up against Yanukovich, they lived in peace together.

Then the neo Nazi's and Ultra's took power and the Russian minority wanted to rejoin Russia.

assault on the West, the last thing we needed was for the CIA to be seized upon
as something akin to a subverting influence in the affairs of other people. I well
knew the first temporary director of the CIA, Adm. Souers, and the later
permanent directors of the CIA, Gen. Hoyt Vandenberg and Allen Dulles. These
were men of the highest character, patriotism and integrity—and I assume this
is true of all those who continue in charge. But there are now some searching
questions that need to be answered. I, therefore, would like to see the CIA be
restored to its original assignment as the intelligence arm of the President, and
that whatever else it can properly perform in that special field—and that its
operational duties be terminated or properly used elsewhere. We have grown
up as a nation, respected for our free institutions and for our ability to maintain
a free and open society. There is something about the way the CIA has been
functioning that is casting a shadow over our historic position and I feel that
we need to correct it.

role outside of the Donald Trump campaign, is Roger Stone.WGSO's Jeff Crouere
interviewed Stone on Friday to discuss the elections, his role, his relationship to
President Trump, the media and his new book.Stone left the campaign after the
first Fox News Republican debate. However, many believe he played a major role

My understanding is that the values that Trump invests in, are highly polarized, meaning that you have both certain values that are somewhat more positive than earlier and certain values that are somewhat more negative than earlier. This creates popularity among a general public that leans onto values within this broader value spectrum - more people resonate with values in his value basket. For Trump that is good.

Because of this broader more polarized value spectrum, a natural consequence is a mixed result - heat, more boiling water, tension, movement, drama, change etc. The boat starts to rock. Maybe that is to some degree what is also necessary to wake people up to the values they want to stand for. But for this boat to rock towards a release for America and the rest of the world, the investing into the negative polarity values must deaccelerate. Herein lies the dilemma - we do not have the signs yet that this will ever happen. It is incredibly unclear at the surface. This makes us forced to predict that the effects of both sides of the polarity spectrum is by default the most likely outcome of Trump's policy, which means we are moving towards a power shift with the risk of a near 0 net effect - many old problems were effectively solved and many new ones were effectively created. But that is the way it is right now. It can move towards the positive end of the polarity spectrum or the negative, this can be triggered by political moves both domestically and geopolitically. In that sense, it is quite ideal for those more global players with more power than Trump. So the net benefit for the general public is uncertain, change is definitely on the horizon.

The country is polarised and depending how his policy and vision turns out will
depend on whether he will be accepted by more people . Jobs ,the economy,
security and prosperity will change many views of him.

The mainstream and solid leftists will snipe and moan about Trump as they
have done for all Republican and presidents and rightly so in some cases.
The last 4 presidents have been NWO puppets , Trump is definitely a
maverick more of a independent , even if he is bringing in establishment
figures/mil/Bankers/lawyers etc as he needs a lot of places to fill .

He has done a lot so far which is not highlighted in the mainstream which
is why he organised this rally to tell his base he has not forgotten them
and his promises and don't get dragged down by the mainstream press.
Also to energies his batteries for the coming battles....

There will be setbacks and things I disagree with but he is certainly trying
to shake up Washington and drain the swamp.....

Foreign policy is a different matter.

It was just over a year ago that Arnold Schwarzenegger posted the above words. Though climate change is an important subject which is bearing down on the entire human race, an issue that in the future will kill an unlimited amount of human beings, the back side of the subject is already killing millions of people every year.

Schwarzenegger said, “Do you believe it is acceptable that 7 million people die every year from pollution? That’s more than murders, suicides, and car accidents combined. Every day, 19,000 people die from pollution from fossil fuels. Do you accept those deaths? Do you accept that children all over the world have to grow up breathing with inhalers?

We have created a toxic hell on earth. It’s a special kind of hell that gets chemically and radioactively more toxic each year with the damage and danger expanding to hurt, debilitate, torture, and even kill people in uncountable numbers. Doctors participate with their use of toxic pharmaceuticals, use of radiation and depriving their patients of the information about what to do about toxic expose. Companies like Monsanto lead the charge with their agricultural chemicals, pesticides with their Roundup product probably doing the most damage to the human race.

In January, a California Superior Court Judge struck down Monsanto’s attempt to overturn California’s 2015 ruling to require Prop 65 warnings on glyphosate. The Prop 65 cancer warning is based on the 2015 findings of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which determined glyphosate is a probable human carcinogen. In 2009, a French court found Monsanto guilty of lying; falsely advertising its Roundup herbicide as “biodegradable,” “environmentally friendly” and claiming it “left the soil clean.”

Children whose mothers were exposed to certain types of pesticides while pregnant were more likely to have attention problems as they grew up.

Though coal emissions are declining they are dramatically higher than they were at the turn of the century. Coal is not the only problem in terms of air pollution. Readings inside the containment vessel of reactor no. 2 at Fukushima have finally been measured and are clocking in at 530 Sieverts per hour, a dosage that would be fatal dozens and dozens of times over if a human were to be exposed to it for a second. We are polluting the world, and especially lately the Pacific Ocean, with nuclear radiation as well as thousands of tons of heavy metals that come out of coal stacks each year.

The WHO has already classified outdoor air pollution as a leading cause of cancer in humans. “A new official report says that six in 10 Americans — about 175 million people — are living in places where air pollution often reaches dangerous levels. It is estimated that 180,000 people suffering from Air Pollution shall be admitted to hospitals, this is an increase of 62% in the last 20 years. Around 6,000,000 visits to the doctors in 2008 are associated to the exposure of Air Pollution.

The California Air Resources Board meanwhile has tripled its estimates of premature deaths in California from particle pollution to 18,000 a year, the report said. Freeways remain high-risk areas for everyone, the study said, increasing the risk of heart attack, allergies, premature births and infant deaths.

Air pollution levels in Chinese cities cause 350,000 to 400,000 premature deaths each year. It is estimated that the United States presently accounts for 3 to 5 percent of total global mercury air emissions, whereas Asian countries are estimated to contribute about one-half of the human-made air emissions.

“When I was last in Beijing, pollution was at the hazardous level: Every hour of exposure reduced my life expectancy by 20 minutes,” Richard Muller, scientific director of Berkeley Earth and a co-author of the paper, said in an e-mail. “It’s as if every man, woman and child smoked 1.5 cigarettes each hour.”

The Romans were aware that lead could cause serious health problems, even madness and death. However, they were so fond of its diverse uses that they minimized the hazards it posed. We do the same with coal as well as nuclear energy but the list does not stop there. We are so fond of our current life-styles, with our cars and busses and planes that we really do not care that we are hurting and killing each other with unlimited and unsustainable carbon based human activity.

The Problem with Coal is Not Carbon Dioxide

Human destiny is on a collision course with mercury and other heavy metals (which includes radionuclides) not carbon dioxide, which does not cause climate change but responds to it. Tomorrow we will all wake up to a world with about twenty tons more mercury in the environment, hundreds of pounds of mercury will be put into people’s mouths by dentists, and tens of thousands of little children will receive vaccinations laced with mercury in the form of ethyl-mercury, super-charged with aluminum. Human destiny is on a collision course with many things but carbon dioxide is not one of them.

The FDA said many years ago that 2 to 3 thousand tons[1] of metallic mercury was being released into the air from manmade sources. Chemical radioactivity is an appropriate phrase to describe what the situation is with mercury and other chemicals that are causing disease rates to soar. And what has already arrived gets worse with the hundreds of millions of tons of toxic chemicals that get produced and added to the human biosphere each year.

Six studies that found strong relationships between biomarkers for mercury toxicity in children with autism including a direct correlation between the levels of mercury toxicity and the severity of autism symptoms. Those findings are supported by recent research that links industrial exposures of lead, mercury and arsenic to the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

On average, for each 1,000 pounds of environmentally released mercury, there is a 43 percent increase in the rate of special education services and a 61 percent increase in the rate of autism.” Dr. John Palmers found that those districts with the highest levels of mercury in the environment also had the highest rates of special education students with autism diagnosis. This would explain why California has the highest autism rates. California is known to have the highest environmental burden of mercury of any state in the country. Part of the reason for that probably is the mercury blowing in on the high winds from China where they have been putting up new coal burning mercury polluting electrical plants at a fantastic pace. China spews 600 tons of mercury into the air each year, accounting for a great part of the world’s non-natural emissions.

Everyone now has to live and breathe in the context of a dangerous chemical cloud with radioactive like fallout that penetrates our human skin. Having failed to destroy ourselves with radioactive clouds from atomic bombs we have managed to muddle through and threaten ourselves through a combination of means that will continue to get worse until we are stopped in our tracks—like the Chinese are beginning to be—because in some places over there it is becoming almost impossible to even breathe.

The prolonged effects of low grade concentrations of toxic substances depend on individual susceptibility,” says Professor I.M. Trakhtenberg from the former Soviet Union.

Toxic Exposure from Water and Vaccines

In 1995, neurotoxicologist and former Director of toxicology at Forsyth Dental Center in Boston, Dr. Phyllis Mullenix published research showing that fluoride built up in the brains of animals when exposed to moderate levels.[2] Rats drinking only 1 part per million fluoride (NaF) (million parts per trillion) in water had histologic lesions in their brain similar to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The CDC and FDA should also be strung up for allowing fluoride to be put in drinking water. These medical wings of the federal government are criminals guilty of massive poisoning and deaths.

Thimerosal, a mercury-containing preservative, is still in 48 million U.S. flu vaccines each year, tetanus toxoid, meningococcal vaccines and, in massive doses, in the pediatric vaccines given to 100 million children across the developing world. A Centers for Disease Control (CDC) review published last month found that the ethylmercury in thimerosal is as profoundly neurotoxic as the heavily regulated methylmercury in fish.

The concentration of thimerosal (fifty percent mercury by weight) in vaccines that contain this agent as a preservative is approximately 125,000 nanomolar. In our studies pure thimerosal shows toxicity to neurons in culture at 10 to 20 nanomolar, a 12,500 to 6,250 dilution factor. Calculations, using a conservative approach, demonstrate that vaccinations of infants exposed them to concentrations of thimerosal that could biologically injure them, especially if they were exceptionally susceptible to mercury toxicity due to genetic predisposition, other concurrent toxic exposures (e.g. to lead, elemental mercury, cadmium, etc.) further, our research has shown that thimerosal, which releases the toxic agent ethylmercury, inhibits the same brain enzymes as does Hg2+. Therefore, multiple exposures from dental amalgams, food, and vaccines are all capable of adding to the toxic load of these infants. In Summary: Pure thimerosal was toxic at the low nanomolar level – an extremely low concentration, about 10,000 times less than the thimerosal concentration found in most vaccines.

Researchers found the presence of inorganic, foreign bodies in all human-use vaccines. In fact, the scientists claim that the foreign bodies they found contaminating the vaccines were not declared in the package insert from the manufacturer. Lead particles were found in the cervical cancer vaccine Gardasil, the flu vaccine, as well as in the meningitis vaccine. Other vaccines were found to be contaminated with stainless steel, iron, chromium, and the heavy metal nickel. GlaxoSmithKline’s Fluarix vaccine for children was found to contain 11 different metals.

Arnold should know, I hope, that it does not begin and end with air pollution. We have deep within our civilization a mentality of poison and often for no good reason at all. The flu vaccine for instance, and all the mercury exposure that comes with it, is not effective at all. They do it for nothing.

Conclusion

Because there is little we can do about air pollution, except to move to more pristine environments, that are shrinking each year, we have to take learn to survive in a contaminated world. Denial of the threat will translate into chronic disease and early death. Bottom line, it really matters where you live!

It is an almost impossible job to get our act together and do something about the massive poisoning of humans. A good place to start though, if we were serious, would be with the Center of Disease Control in Atlanta. CDC scientists should be dragged from their offices and charged with intentional murder, chemical rape and deliberate torturing of young and old alike with their religion of lies about mercury, vaccines and a host of other toxic agents. A good second stop would be the FDA and then on to the doors of Monsanto.

However, this is just a fool’s dream. No one expects anything to happen even close to this so expect cancer rates to continue to skyrocket because no one in the established order of things gives a damn. These governmental organizations along with the EPA have the responsibility to protect the public but what they really do is allow the massive poisoning of the human race.

We are facing a historic financial collapse anyway and that should sweep away much of the mainstream, which is ill prepared for anything other than for things to continue as they are. The financial collapse is on an express train coming at us and that should hit us hard before the weather turns much colder as we slip into a new mini ice age. However, this winter is already heralding the coming changes with record cold and incredibly heavy snow fall that is taking the world by surprise.

I mention these factors because things are going to be taken out of our hands. The universe is not as stupid as we are and will deliver consequences as well as dramatic changes that we lack the will to implement. We did not need the politically motivated theory of global warming to instigate changes. That lie did not work anyway though a lot of people made a lot of money with that scam.

The point Schwarzenegger was making is that there is already a big reason to reduce coal burning—it is dirty fuel, which they do not even try to clean up with smoke stack scrubbers and other technology that can reduce enormous mercury emissions. They even have the technology to turn CO2 emissions into bicarbonate.

‘A documentary film praising Syria’s White Helmets, a rescue group
hailed as heroes and saviors by the MSM, amid allegations of having
ties with terrorist organizations, has won the Oscar for best documentary
short feature.
“The White Helmets,” a 40-minute documentary, marks first Oscar win
for director Orlando von Einsiedel.The film revolves around the “perilous

A synopsis, published on the Oscars website, reveals that the film is set

I could have titled this piece: “What government fears: the black entrepreneur.”

But the situation is much wider than that—-

That’s the crux of the issue: never leave your group.

That’s how society, civilization, and culture are promoted these days.

“Groups have needs, agendas, and problems, and the solution will come from government.” That’s the all-embracing formula.

The fake appearance is: victim groups are fighting for recognition and special status, and the government is pushing back—but that’s now a ruse. That’s a cover story. In fact, victim groups and government have the same goal: a relationship based on dependence. One side depends and the other side gives and protects.

The individual is out of the equation. He is portrayed as the greed-obsessed reason these victim groups exist and need help in the first place.

Banks, Wall Street, and mega-corporations are depicted as the end result of individualism, whereas the government is valiantly striving to solve this endemic problem.

In fact, government, banks, Wall Street, and mega-corporations are joined at the hip. They brush each other’s teeth first thing every morning.

Political correctness and the burgeoning movement to outlaw “offensive language” are merely tactics to: preserve groups’ separate identities; foment conflict between them; and ultimately foster their dependence on government authority.

The truth is, you can’t get free individuals to depend on government. Only “besieged groups” can be relied on for that purpose.

In the State’s eyes, a perfect society would be composed of groups who have entirely forgotten the concept of the individual, as if it never existed.

Peter Collero, of the department of sociology, Western Oregon University, has written a book titled: The Myth of Individualism: How Social Forces Shape Our Lives:

“Most people today believe that an individual is a person with an independent and distinct identification. This, however, is a myth.”

When Callero writes “identification,” he isn’t talking about ID cards and Social Security numbers. He’s asserting an absence of any uniqueness from person to person. He’s claiming there is no significant distinction between any two people. There aren’t two individuals to begin with. They’re a group.

This downgrading of the individual human spirit is far from accidental. It’s launched as a sustained propaganda campaign, the ultimate purpose of which is top-down control over billions of people organized into groups.

Here are several remarks, meant to defame the individual, from people I would call high-IQ idiots (at best):

“The cold truth is that the individualist creed of everybody for himself and the devil take the hindmost is principally responsible for the distress in which Western civilization finds itself — with investment racketeering at one end and labor racketeering at the other. Whatever merits the [individualist] creed may have had in the days of primitive agriculture and industry, it is not applicable in an age of technology, science, and rationalized economy. Once useful, it has become a danger to society.” (Charles Beard, 1931)

Beard, a celebrated historian, sees no difference between individual racketeering and the individual freely choosing and living his own life. In making this judgment, he becomes an intellectual/propaganda racketeer of the highest order.

“British empiricist philosophy is individualist. And it is of course clear that if the only criterion of true and false which a man accepts is that man’s, then he has no base for social agreement. The question of how man ought to behave is a social question, which always involves several people; and if he accepts no evidence and no judgment except his own, he has no tools with which to frame an answer.” (Jacob Bronowski, Science and Human Values, 1956).

Bronowski is quite sure that hearing other people’s evidence and then keeping one’s own counsel is wrong. One has to accept that evidence on its face. This is sheer idiocy. Individuals are capable of deciding, on their own, what social agreements to enter into.

On the other hand, here is a quite insightful statement from a contemporary journalist.

Here’s what journalist Glenn Greenwald (who is gay) wrote about the symbolic nature of the American Presidency, before the election. Though not making reference to the group vs. the individual, Greenwald’s remarks illustrate the degree to which victim-symbology has taken hold in the US:

“…Hillary’s] going to be the first female president, and women in America are going to be completely invested in her candidacy. Opposition to her is going to be depicted as misogynistic, like opposition to Obama has been depicted as racist. It’s going to be this completely symbolic messaging that’s going to overshadow the fact that she’ll do nothing but continue everything in pursuit of her own power. They’ll probably have a gay person [as president] after Hillary who’s just going to do the same thing.”

Regardless of the fact that the State and its allies are real oppressors who contribute mightily to creating real victims, what I’m talking about here is something quite apart from that: growing numbers of people who voluntarily take on the victim-mantle and seek comfort in nests of self-promoting groups who exaggerate and distort their own claims to special status.

The State needs these people. The State wants these people. Increasingly, the State employs these people.

Edward Bernays, the father of modern public relations, wrote: “It is sometimes possible to change the attitudes of millions but impossible to change the attitude of one man.”

Bernays understood that the basis of successful propaganda is a mass audience, an audience composed of groups, not individuals.

Retired high-level propaganda operative, Ellis Medavoy (pseudonym), once told me, “There are two aspects of propaganda. There is everything you do to get people to think of themselves as group members. And then there are all the messages you send to those conditioned group members. You need both aspects.”

When a group assigns itself solid “victim-status,” it creates one basic rule: a member must not leave the group. Why? Because if he does, he’s claiming he is no longer a victim—and that assertion is a betrayal.

Nice and neat. A prison.

“I’m a free individual.”

“You’re crazy. There is no such thing. Now get back in the group where you belong.”

Down at the root, betrayal begins as self-betrayal. The individual gives up the ghost. From that point on, his politics don’t matter. He forgets what he could have been. He defines himself by race and religion and country and rank ideology and group. He finds words and feeling through which he can express his role in a stage play that decays him from the inside out.

Eventually, if lunatics have their way, every person on planet Earth will be designated a victim. That will be the group of groups.

It won’t matter why and how everyone supposedly turns out to be a victim. The reasons will be forgotten. People will “instinctively” sign on to the agenda.

And the management team running the world will put another check mark on their sheet of objectives:

“Earth is beginning to resemble one giant hospital/mental institution. Break out the champagne.”

There is only one problem. That plan is fraying at the edges. People are waking up and swimming to the surface through layers of deception. They’re returning to themselves. They’re recognizing group-ism for what it is: a meltdown into self-sabotage.

The artifact is the collective. The self is real.

Power, choice, and freedom never go away.

They may hide, but they can be resurrected.

Then the whole fake game crumbles.

I get that completely as someone who has what feels like an obsession with getting the new piece of information. However, imagine if you created and put out in the world, the real one not this online one, what you could accomplish. Now this is most certainly the pot calling the kettle as I could do more myself and I spend WAY too much on the internet and computer in general. But good lord man, you could do a lot to change your area around you if you put half as much effort into a local city council, a neighborhood newsletter, FACEtube channel of your own, or something. Or maybe Cider is living in the country far away from anybody and his/her only mean of communication with the world is the internet and he/she cannot go in city council to offer help.

Or maybe city councils and facetube give no results when working with them.

Or maybe Cider is working full time, raising a family, but is a real genius and can speedread (more than 1000 words a minute as many can) on one hand and listen to videos while working in his lab, his genius processing the information really fast, which he/she gladly share with us.

I think we should as much as possible avoid judging others and also avoid what seems to me a kind of patronizing on who Cider should be or should do.

Maybe it's not all over yet...one possible result of the current huge amount of division.
I don't think there are really any cut and dried, predictable outcomes because there are too many heretofore unprecedented factors at play, despite the many attempts to downplay or hide them, such as emerging advanced technologies, unofficial Disclosure, an awakening populace, etc.

Bernie Sanders' Revolution Is Giving America The Will To Live


In April 2010, Noam Chomsky gave an interview with Chris Hedges that's since become very famous because it predicted the rise of a figure like Donald Trump.

“I have never seen anything like this in my lifetime,” Chomsky added. “I am old enough to remember the 1930s. My whole family was unemployed. There were far more desperate conditions than today. But it was hopeful. People had hope. The CIO was organizing. No one wants to say it anymore but the Communist Party was the spearhead for labor and civil rights organizing. Even things like giving my unemployed seamstress aunt a week in the country. It was a life. There is nothing like that now. The mood of the country is frightening. The level of anger, frustration and hatred of institutions is not organized in a constructive way. It is going off into self-destructive fantasies.”
Indeed, unlike was the case back in the day, when organizations like the CIO brought the country back from the brink by pressuring formerly corporatist leaders like FDR to bring the necessary societal reforms, no such hope had appeared as of the point Chomsky gave that assessment. Even before the 2008 financial crisis, the state of America's political and economic systems, and public confidence in those systems, had reached a critical and perilous point. By the time the nation's several-year-long bout with intoxicated post-9/11 nationalism died down, the country had realized that its government and media were by no means on its side any more, and that led many people to go down a rabbit hole of magical thinking and cynicism.

On the left, there was the rise of the 9/11 Truth movement, and on the right there was the rise of various Christian end times movements. The outlook from within these groups, as Matt Taibbi reported more than a decade ago in his book The Great Derangement after interacting with the members of them directly, was in no way positive or hopeful, with them only voting "out of loathing, against enemies and against the system generally, not really for anybody."

And now, after that derangement has been increased exponentially with the near collapse of our formerly reliable financial order and the realization that the Democratic Party, which provided some hope when it was voted in massively in 2006 and 2008, is just another tool of the neoliberal oligarchy, the state of our politics is more insane than Taibbi probably could have dreamed of when he wrote that. In that piece, Hedges points out Freud's theory of the life instinct and the death instinct. The life instinct, wrote Freud, is what encourages us to sustain and nurture, while the death instinct is the morbid urge that tends to grip us in times of crisis to simply tear everything down and enjoy the show. Make no mistake, not even this is quite enough to turn things around. But given the nature of those who will take control after the current frenzy of Trump era political involvement is over, this will most certainly be just the beginning. Koch brothers’ operatives fill top White House positions, ethics forms reveal
The Koch brothers have much to celebrate with Trump in the White House.

If the billionaire Koch brothers turn to the White House for favors, they will see many familiar faces.

Newly disclosed ethics forms reveal that a significant number of senior Trump staffers were previously employed by the sprawling network of hard-right and libertarian advocacy groups financed and controlled by Charles and David Koch, the conservative duo hyper-focused on entrenching Republican power, eliminating taxes, and slashing environmental and labor regulations.

Some of the relationships were well-known. Marc Short, for instance, now Trump’s chief liaison to Congress, previously led Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, the dark money nonprofit used by the Koch brothers and their donor cohort to dispense money to allied groups. Freedom Partners, which maintains an affiliate Super PAC, was at the center of the Kochs’ $750 million election effort during the campaign last year.

But the ethics forms, made available to the public on Friday evening, reveal a number of previously undisclosed financial ties between the Koch network and Trump’s inner circle of political aides.

Donald McGahn, Trump’s campaign attorney turned White House counsel, provided legal services to a range of outside Koch groups working to influence the election. McGahn, through the law firm Jones Day, advised Freedom Partners, as well as i360, the Koch’s big data firm set up to identify and target voters, and Americans for Prosperity, the election advocacy and grassroots lobbying organization run by the Koch brothers. Ann Donaldson, McGahn’s chief of staff, came to the White House from McGahn’s law firm. Her financial disclosure shows that she also provided legal services to Freedom Partners and i360.

Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s former campaign manager turned close White House advisor, consulted over the last year for Americans for Prosperity’s national foundation, as well as for the Michigan and Ohio chapters of the group. Conway served as a board member for the Independent Women’s Forum, a Koch-backed group whose goal is “increasing the number of women who value free markets and personal liberty.”The fact that Trump’s political team worked for the Koch network during the campaign adds a new wrinkle to the relationship between the president and the most well-known pair of Republican billionaires.

The Koch network has long pioneered a strategy of backing GOP campaigns by using seemingly independent nonprofits and outside election groups. Election law prohibits organizations that raise and spend unlimited funds, such as the Freedom Partners’ Super PAC and Americans for Prosperity, from directly coordinating with candidates.

But those rules are rarely enforced. Moreover, campaigns and Super PACs have danced around the coordination prohibition by employing individuals who split their time between candidates and outside groups, making them a crucial conduit for potential coordination.

Despite the common myth that the Koch network, in the words of Politico, “sat out” the presidential campaign, Koch groups were active in battleground states that proved critical to Trump’s victory. Americans for Prosperity employed 650 staff members during the campaign, with many stationed in Florida, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Hampshire, and Missouri. The field staff, using the new data tools from i360, focused on making sure Republican voters made it to the polls.

In the aforementioned states, Americans for Prosperity also aired negative ads attacking Hillary Clinton in the last weeks of the campaign, linking her to Democratic candidates and problems allegedly caused by the Affordable Care Act. The ads, which blanketed swing state television stations, held Clinton responsible for healthcare with “higher cost, lost coverage, lost doctors.”

The election effort swept the GOP to a level of national power not seen since the 1920s. And the Koch network has been quick to seize upon unified Republican control of Washington to score a range of policy and political victories.

Freedom Partners Vice President Andy Koenig told the Los Angeles Times after the election that his group hoped Trump would “walk in with an eraser” and wipe out as many Obama reforms as possible. The group formulated a “Roadmap to Repeal,” a memo calling for the administration to prioritize revoking the Paris climate change treaty, repealing clean water rules, and eliminating limits on pollution from coal-fire power plants.

In recent weeks, Trump and congressional leaders have used a little-known procedure called the Congressional Review Act to swiftly roll back the very regulations identified by the Koch memo. And they have been aided by a team that came to the White House policy staff directly from the Koch network.

Koenig, the former Freedom Partners vice president, is now working in the White House as a policy assistant. Koenig’s financial disclosure shows that he made $320,000 at the group before moving through the revolving door.

In addition, Andrew Bremberg, now the director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, and Bethany Scully, an official working in Trump’s Office of Legislative Affairs, both worked for Freedom Partners. Bremberg’s disclosure shows that he consulted for the group through a consulting firm he owns called Right Policy LLC.

The Trump policy team includes Brian Blase, a special assistant to the president working on healthcare issues, who came to the White House from the Mercatus Center, the Koch network think tank at George Mason University.

A number of Vice President Mike Pence’s staff also came directly from Koch organizations. Andeliz Castillo, named earlier this year as a Pence senior aide, came from the Libre Initiative, the Latino outreach arm of the Koch network. Stephen Ford, Pence’s director of speechwriting, previously worked as a speechwriter for Koch’s Freedom Parters.

To be sure, there is not perfect harmony between the Koch brothers and Trump. The Koch network harshly criticized the American Health Care Act, attacking it for not doing enough to repeal Obamacare. And the groups have lobbied against the so-called border adjustment tax, a proposal favored by some in the Trump White House.

But if the latest member-wide email from Americans for Prosperity is any indication, the Koch brothers have much to celebrate with Trump in the White House.

The email, titled, “Thank you, President Trump,” hails the president for issuing an executive order to repeal of Obama’s “Clean Power Plan,” the biggest pillar in the previous administration’s climate change strategy. The message goes on to boast that Americans for Prosperity is providing the lobbying muscle, along with paid advertisements and mobilizing calls to Congress, to help confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.
