View Full Version : Dentist says I have disease in my gums/jaw.....
East Sun

The way he explains it sounds kind of scary. He says,
that after I have tests done, sort of like x-rays, that will
show 'holes' in my jaw where 'bugs' live that I will
probably have to have maybe all my teeth extracted and
have surgery on my jaw/gums.
I feel like there must be a way to get rid of the 'bugs'
and keep all or most of my teeth.
Does anyone have information or had experience with
this sort of thing.
I would really appreciate anything anyone can tell me.

If my dentist said that to me, I'd ask him or her to please not treat me like a child — and give me the full medical lowdown, preferably in writing and with web links so that I could understand better and in more detail before I made a responsible decision for myself.
(And if we had that information here, then members would be able to help... I'd be confident.)

I have no "bugs" in my jaw but my holistic dentist told me to mix 1/2 peroxyde and 1!2 water, dip my toothbrush into it, then put baking soda on my tooth brush and brush my teeth at a 45 degree angle so that the brush gently rubs the gum and this would avoid to have any gum disease. It has a salty taste because of the baking soda. EAsy enough, very cheap to clean my teeth and leaves my teeth sooooooo clean and soft, that i started to pass my tongue on my teeth for the pleasure of softness on the tongue. it is about one tenth the price of toothpaste.
I also know that Carmody once mentioned MMS usage with a water pick to get rid of gum disease.

Take a listen to Dr Ellie on Time Monk Radio
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-QcxCCOqQA&t=61s\
Her advice sjre works for me. Also when I have a tooth sensitivity coming on I buy Tincture of goldenseal (alcohol solvent used) and use it by the dropperful under my tongue (before washing it down with water) every two hours while awake. Ive never had to do this over a week to clear things up

Sounds like, by the description as "Jawbone Cavitations" but for obvious reasons I don't know that for sure.

Very thoughtful advise from Bill. You need to start taking care of your mouth now. Don't skip, do it every day.
I second the advice of keeping your toothbrush clean of germs. I personally use 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide to clean the brush and store it in sea salt solution. Change your toothbrush frequently. Keep your mouth clean after any meal.
MMS is great but don't use too much of a concentrated solution. I would not use more than 3 drops per rinse. Remineralize with clay based toothpaste.
Try to purchase special blotting toothbrushes. They really pull the garbage from your gums. Crank up your B vit intake.
Make sure your hands are clean when flossing. Use Waterpark instead if funds allow.
Bone infection is very hard to get rid of but not impossible when the bug is identified...

Hi East Sun
I'm sorry for your troubles. It sounds like you have a very serious problem, potentially life threatening. I say this because any infection in your skull, especially if it's in the bone, has the potential to infect the brain. Should such an infection occur, your problem is greatly magnified, as the brain as an organ is not designed to deal with microbial invasion and the "bugs" can spread with great and deadly rapidity.
The suggested treatments I have read in this thread will possibly work if an infection involves only your gum tissue (my mom was a dental nurse and I have used such measures as hydrogen peroxide at her direction) but if it has progressed to the bone - i.e. your jaw, then you might need surgery. You need to have a conversation - immediately - with your dentist, who may or may not be trained as a dental surgeon.
Get a full and detailed description about the nature of the infection, in writing if possible. Ideally you will want a friend or relative with you during this consultation: two sets of ears are always better, and take notes. Have your questions written out beforehand, with the aid of your friend. Explore all of the alternatives with your dentist. He sounds a little cavalier in his approach. I would venture that he has not had all of his teeth removed.
Get your x-rays and your notes and get a second opinion. ASAP. Take the time to weigh your options very carefully before committing to such drastic measures as having your teeth removed or your jaw bored into. Such surgery often leads to site infection all by itself, so make sure that, if you go the surgical route, you are in the care of the best practitioner possible.
Even with all of this necessary gathering of information, this should all be done as quickly as possible. Do not delay this process.
I wish for a healthy outcome for you.

Apparently baking soda can be abrasive when used to brush your teeth. I have read in the past that it is not recommended to use it longer than 2 weeks. I can't really say this is truthful unless I try for myself, though.
If you are concerned about what I've said, and don't wish to use toothpaste with fluoride in it, there are charcoal toothpastes, which are anti fungal and anti bacterial apparently.

OMG annoyed. I just lost everything I posted.
Okay.
1) I agree with Bill Ryan. Get a second opinion.
2) Brush your teeth with sea salt - it's all you need. It's cheap, and it really works. My teeth are stronger and healthier since I made the switch (and I have never had a cavity in my life)
3) Swish and spit regularly with food grade hydrogen peroxide (3%) - keep it in your mouth for as long as possible and do not swallow.
4) Floss every time you brush. It really helps.
5) Eliminate as much as possible from your diet: processed sugars, carbs/starches. Keep natural sugars to a minimum. Focus on fresh veggies, nuts and seeds, healthy oils, and meats, and treat yourself with fresh fruits or dried fruits as snacks/desserts.
6) Find a relaxation technique that you enjoy, and find a way to incorporate it into your schedule - it could be something as simple as choosing a meaningful phrase to you like "I am free" or "Shalom" or "Jesus saves" and then say it over and over while you lie in bed before going to sleep. As you repeat whatever word or phrase you choose, you can breathe naturally and relax your muscles. It is a very nice way to calm the mind and to also fall asleep. It also has healing effects on the body.
7) Give your body adequate time to heal itself - be persistent and patient. It took years to get to where it is now - still, if you make all the necessary changes to alleviate the stressors that are affecting your body and causing this dental problem, then your body will heal itself much more quickly than in the time it took for this problem to manifest.

Agree, once it's in the bone it is a different issue.
I have shifted various infections over the years with 'alternative' anti-septics taken internally.
I would be looking at ingesting:
Garlic(organic best), Ginger, Colloidal Silver, MMS, Turmeric (heated & with black pepper)
To assist the body to fight infections, mushrooms such as reishi etc. Also taking a break from digesting food , especially cooked food, seems to help healing/disease fighting
Do not let the professionals make you feel dis-empowered!
Being super clean in the gum area reduces general inflammation, so helps everywhere, water pic IS excellent.

Hi East Sun,
Can relate a bit to what you've said as I've just had a very problematic tooth pulled (I turned down a root canal for well known reasons!). Oddly enough, that reacted on 2 x opposite teeth. I've been entrenched with painkillers the last week and am on a diet of soup! The pulled tooth isn't really causing any problems - but the others are REALLY PAINFUL. The nerves of your whole tooth/mouth/jaw are inter-connected.
I found swilling/slooshing Apple Cider Vinegar quite a relief, ie hold a mouthful of it for as long as you can (Your teeth are little tubules that absorb everything in your mouth), including cigarette smoking btw - quite harmful.
That goes for all the other remedies above.
Hope that helps!

lately my dentist gave me the choice between extraction or root canal for a dead tooth...
her diagnostics were good, finding the dead tooth via appliying ice spray .. all the live teeth hurt..no sensation in the dead one..
I declined treatment , went home and completely cured the gum inflammation ( which was the pain causing problem) with a single large application of 'propolis' like this: https://www.beehealthpropolis.com/bee-health-propolis-liquid.html
I had previously tried unsuccessfully MMS and colloidal silver ....

Now hang, on a moment, in just a few words Bill expressed solid advice : we SHOULD expect a professional to FULLY demonstrate, { by whatever appropriate means, MRI, U/Sound etc.. } WHY she spoke of ' BUGS '. of HOLES... This sounds [ imho] highly suspicious... My opinion is that HONEST medics are as rare as Rocking Horse ****...
I forget whether it was here , or on UKColumn.org, that I saw reference to
' Chocky ' { in relation to 'Spirit Beings' } however, relevant is the Evil dishonesty displayed by the ' HARLEY STREET 'Psycho'... { And how, us ' mere ' common-people, place our trust in THEM, when our loved ones are in need of help... }
The Parisian ATC Air Traffic Controller, examined for a moving implant,[2013 ?]
told, it is simply a ' Cartilidge 'type of abnormalty, don't bother yourself about it !
{ God Bless Dr Roger Leir ! }
Clearly, we have long reached the point where the Medical Profession are substantially infiltrated with those working with evil. { And, I do not think the majority do so , un-knowingly .. }
So Meat Suit, do Mankind a favour, ask her to give you written diagnosis, as Bill suggests, certainly, the infestation of evil on this planet reaches everywhere, as Dry-Rot spreads in the right condition...
You had to pay for her service, demand the diagnosis - After all, if it was [say] a knee op, you'd expect to shown the scans...

On youtube search look up GOCC:idea:
GOCC/Gathering of Christ Church/aGATHERING144: has lists of natural healthy tooth cleansing products that don't harm the body. All natural. Since the CDC proves to be false shepherds of health and more like Dr. Moreau, people are waking up.
So far so good and garlic raw, is hated by parasites, boosts natural body immune system.

This is excellent advice that Brian has given you. I have worked as a nurse for an oral surgeon and what he says is exactly what I would say. Again, as Brian has already said, once the infection goes into the bone good dental hygiene will not be sufficient to correct the problem.

Fresh organic aloe vera gel is what I rely on for prevention and cure of bacteria, viruses and fungi, also pulls out heavy metals and other toxins.
I buy 33 lbs. per month from Aloe Labs in Harlingen Texas and have it shipped for about $50 total.
It's fantastic stuff; I never get colds, flu or infections (though I still battle with candida because I have a sweet tooth, but the aloe definitely helps keep that under control).
Powdered mrryh is great for the gums; in a tooth powder I add it to green clay powder, baking soda, Real Salt and tea tree oil.
Teeth are so high maintenance, I was glad when I finally had most of my teeth pulled and got dentures!

I would use the bob Beck protocol -various dentists try to tell me my tooth needs £500 root canal and a new crown or extraction- my answer was it doesnt hurt so lets wait and see- that was about 5 years ago, I used the Bob Beck Protocol. It was explained to me that our jaw bone becomes thinner as we get older.

Hi east sun
I was in the same exact position you are in 3-4 years ago. Dentist said I would lose my teeth, wanted to do some surgical procedures etc. hell, I even had a tooth fall out & a tooth that cracked in half. So I became obsessed with natural remedies & oral health care.
What has worked well for me is;
Invested in a water pick
Daily oil pulling (kills bad bacteria in the gum line & gently removes toxins)
Daily Brushing with Castile soap, sea salt to remineralize & baking soda
Mouthwash with half hydrogen peroxide half water
Some ayervedic herb formula 1-2 a week
Liposomal vit-c, daily
A bit tedious of a routine but I DID NOT LOSE anymore teeth & my oral health continues to improve & my gums have started to grow back
People may not like to hear this, but stay away from dentists.. unless you find a dentist that is open minded & cares deeply about you ;)

Thanks so very much to everyone who responded. A wealth of information that I will
treasure in my file to refer to often.
I have an appointment with a periodontist in two weeks.
Three years ago I had the amalgam/mercury fillings removed from my teeth by my dentist
who is qualified to do that work. It cost a lot but I did not follow up on his advice to be detoxed
because of the expense.
I don't remember him telling me about this 'bugs' problem that should be addressed.
My own fault, of course.
I will let you know what happens for the record so others might benifit from the info.
A big THANK YOU to all.

Many issues such as yours are caused by lack of real vitamin C. Not cheap ascorbic acid, but real, full C with all it constituent parts.
I'd not take the dentists word as final. He may be seeing dollar signs. Search and read. Curezone.com is a good place to start. This toothpaste is a great one: http://www.lifeextension.com/Vitamins-Supplements/item01278/Life-Extension-Toothpaste

Have you tried a toothpaste with baking soda yet? In the early 90s I finally went to the dentist for a persistent bleeding gum issue. He told me I needed thousands of dollars of work to save my gums. I left thinking maybe I should ask around which I did and one of my friends suggested I try this -
http://www.armandhammer.com/news/arm-and-hammer-baking-soda-toothpaste.aspx
I did and in just a few days my gums stopped bleeding. I have used this toothpaste ever since and the problem has never returned except a few times when I ran out and was unable to buy it (like once in Panama and once in Costa Rica).
Perhaps its worth a try for you.
I wish you the best... Sam

Here is a solution that my friend recommended to me when my teeth were giving me gyp. If you can invest in a waterpik get one. Fill up watertank on waterpik with warm water add 5 drops of organic or high quality grapefruit seed extract and 2 drops of Lugols Solution that is Iodine to you and me. Then go slowly into the gaps between your teeth. I had a very sore swollen spot next to a tooth at the back. Using this regime after meals 2 to 3 times a day for a week made the sore spot disappear. My friend who gave me the recipe has cured most of the problems to do with bone loss in and around the teeth. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Gosh many of us can relate East Sun. I agree with many. I originally googled Save your teeth and Dr. Behm DDS in Florida sells mineral salt solution + org baking soda you mix up. He adds the colloidal silver as well which my body does not want bc of the conflict of metals in my mouth. I mix up that paste mentioned after using the food grade 3% hydrogen peroxide. Sometimes it sells under 33%. A dip into that, cleansing gums, then dip into the paste, then brush with Thieves Toothpaste ( buy on amazon or young living distributor), followed by Thieves Essential Oil mouthwash. I also follow with Systemic Formula cx Bactrex which is only sold by a reputable chiro/nutritionist/dentist/naturopath/acupuncturist. Systemic only distributes to those credentialed not to public. That works!! Kills all bugs. As does the food grade H2O2.
Dentistry is a big money maker. What did our ancestors do? We need to care for our teeth ourselves then if something goes awry, see the dentist.
I also believe if you are under systemic siege with fungus, bacteria, virus and toxic overload, you need to treat the whole body, thus the gums will improve.

My solution for deep gum and tooth bug and plaque removal, has been a MMS solution driven by a waterpik.

Sounds like advanced gum disease. Yeah. Don't mess around if it's in the bone. Same with serious sinus infection. Those can travel to the brain, if left untreated for too long.

Thank you Peterpam for your concern.
My Naturopathic DR. is also an MD. I am on a strict diet for 40 days that's not related to my dental
situation. Then he will reevaluate my general health. He does not think my dentist is correct in his
recommendations and advises me to not go the periodontist route.
I agree with him that if there were any bone issues it would be evident in some physical form like
irritation or pain.
ES
Thanks for your reply, East Sun. I had a bone loss issue with a root canal that was chronically infected. I really did not have any pain with it, but I did loose lots of bone above the area where the tooth was connected to the bone. I waited a long time because there was no pain and the tooth was secure in the socket. I guess I am just saying that in my experience there was no pain but I definitely had significant bone loss. I chose to have an implant placed after the removal of the root canal tooth because it was a front upper tooth and the bone loss made it challenging. Personally, I wish I would have removed that tooth a long time ago, rather than allowing a smoldering infection in the bone to eat away at the bone structure. Your case may be different, however, as I don't recall you saying that you were dealing with failing root canals. Don't let the fact that you don't have pain or irritation be your deciding factors.

I recently bought a device created by a tinkerer genius, called OMF pulser / generator (also called 5k). This thing is pretty amazing - it generates an oscillating magnetic field that instantly kills bacteria / fungi and infections in close proximity to the pulsing pad. I could tell it was working because when I held it to my jaw, the tooth that was experiencing pain seemed to be clicking away with every click the pad was generating, something in the tooth, and though I thought I had removed mercury from my teeth - I am unsure if there are residual bits lying around which may have been resonating with the clicking / pulsing field. After about a 30secs to a minute of pulsing. The pain is gone and I go on with my normal activities as if nothing had happened.
I'm pasting some of the testimonials here :
Latest Testimony from a customer: My results in brief so far are: Dramatic kill off of Giardia with extended pulsing of the abdominal region (15 minute sessions per day). Will continue in conjunction with grapefruit seed extract which is the only thing which had any effect in the past. 50 - 100 pulses per day is having a substantial impact on skin cancers on my ear(scabbing and soreness disappearing), and above my eye where a reoccurring spot which has been weeping and scabbing for ten years has dried and ceased hurting and seems to be shrinking in area, 100+ pulses per day on the infected incisor root canal I have seems to be having some impact but I need much more time to judge this and maybe use it more often. Great for relieving inflammatory pain around the pelvic lumbar vertebrae interface where I have a long term injury. I am really happy with all this!
Here's a customer testimony of how she got rid of the herpes virus completely:
"I have had Herpes Simplex 1 (sores on my lips) for 20 years. They always happen under one of two conditions: emotional stress + exposure to sun and drying. I have been using the Beck Electrifier (2 hours a day) and Magnetic Pulser on and off for about 6 months. They have caused a remarkable improvement in my health! (My chronic fatigue is completely gone.) Recently I had what would have to be considered an emotionally stressful situation. ... After all this was taken care of (one of the most stressful two weeks in my life) I noticed something. No cold sores! Not even itching or the slight burning that precedes them! My previous use of the devices cured my CFIDS but not the herpes because I only pulsed with the regular Magnetic Pulser. This time, I used the Pulser 5K too and now the herpes is gone. I have been doing this version of the treatment about a month." (editors note: "this version" included daily using the Pulser5K firstly all over the head and then all over the rest of the body. She also drank ozonated water which may of been just as important. We don't have any success stories of cures of genital herpes, only mouth herpes and that was with 2 months of using the Beck Electrifier and Magnetic Pulser and then later the Beck Electrifier and Pulser5K and all along drinking ozonated water. I had a client that faithfully used a Beck Electrifier and Pulser_5K but was not able to eliminate the genital herpes.)
Here's a testimony of success against skin cancer:
"As I told you some weeks back, right after I got the Pulser5K from you I used it one night for about 10 minutes on an oozing sore on the back of my head; it was a sore that no other treatment had had any effect on. Well, when I got up the next morning it was 80% healed, overnight! In two more days it was completely gone and has not come back. Since then I have been using the Pulser 5K on a small skin cancer on my left forearm. The cancer is fading in color and reducing in size. I'm thrilled with it!"
Testimony of healing a mold infection in the lungs: "I moved to another country that had a lot of mold spores in the air and I had a resultant lung infection for a month that caused me to cough up mucous at least once every minute all day long. Finally I tried using the Pulser 5K and felt immediate relief from pulsing all of my lung area 50 times at each location (every 4 inches). I continued to use it daily with resultant suppression of the infection until the climate changed to be drier without the mold spores in the air. If it weren't for the Pulser 5K I would of had to move immediately since my coughing had become severe and the muscles of my rib cage were becoming painfully sore from all the exercise."
Testimony of healing of a urinary tract infection with E-Coli (the cause of 80% of these infections): "I obtained a bacterial infection that caused a burning sensation inside my penis. Also the urine was darker than normal and with foam on top (in the toilet). I pulsed 300 times each (sometimes more) with the Pulser 5K on the penis, between testicles and anus, on the kidneys, and on the bladder twice a day (early morning and before bed) for 2-3 weeks (I didn't keep track of exactly when I started). Afterwards the urine returned to normal color and the burning sensation stopped."
Testimony of healing a sinusitis infection: "While I love my MPG4 (Beck Magnetic Pulser), and my WOZ4 (water ozonator), and have found Sota Instruments to be a wonderful company to deal with, I have to say that I have found the magnetic Pulser 5K to be more effective in treating my fungal sinusitis (I have a confirmed aspergillus infection). Several months ago I had been using my MPG4 on my sinusitis, and found it helped, but did not eliminate the problem. As soon as I got my Pulser 5K and used it, I noticed a dramatic difference, my symptoms rapidly diminished and disappeared over the following week. I should add that has always been a pleasure to deal with too. Later I managed to blow up my Pulser 5K by connecting the supply polarity the wrong way around. I think is adding polarity protection to their Pulsers now, but current owners beware! That didn't bother me, as I was feeling well, until a few weeks ago, when I got a cold (first in over two years), and this triggered all the old symptoms again. Despite frantic pulsing with the Sota pulser, zapping, Rifing, lymphasizing, etc, I remained sick until I got back my repaired Pulser 5K. That was Thursday morning, and I am 90% better already (two days later).
This strongly suggests to me that the creator of this is onto something with his Pulser 5K. One miraculous cure may be coincidence or placebo effect, but twice?
One thing I'm sure of - if anyone wants to take *either* of my magnetic pulsers or my water ozonator away from me, they will have to pry them from my cold, dead hands. Best wishes, Paul H"
Usage for Osteoporosis and broken bones: James T. Ryaby, vice president of OrthoLogic, a medical devices company in Tempe, Arizona, has been using what he calls Combined Fields which are oscillating magnetic fields superimposed on a static magnetic field. They appear to spur bone growth more quickly than the older type of pulsed EMFs, Ryaby says. What's more, the combined-field devices require just a small percentage of the power used by typical pulsed EMF generators. More tantalizing, says Ryaby, are the data from a just completed study with female rats suggesting that the combined fields can reverse the kind of bone loss women experience after menopause. After removing the rodents' ovaries to simulate a postmenopausal state, Ryaby's team watched the animals quickly lose bone. Six weeks later, some of the rats began receiving combined-field therapy for 30 minutes a day. Within a little more than a month, he says, the treated animals were regaining lost bone while their untreated counterparts continued to lose it.
For $20 more, we can insert a very strong neodynium magnet inside the output coil of our Pulser5K so that the magnetic output will be oscillating/static like what Orthologic uses. Just be sure not to let the output coil near magnetic media (cassettes, credit cards, diskettes, etc) which could be erased by the strong magnet. Also be aware that the magnet can strongly pull to it any metal object when the metal contains iron.
Testimony of success against fungus and bacterial infections:
My wife and I have found Magnetic Pulser 5K invaluable for treating an aspergillus (fungal) sinus infection that we were both suffering from. We had found the Sota Instruments magnetic pulser helpful in reducing our symptoms somewhat, but the Pulser 5K had an immediate and noticeable effect. My wife's ear infection, related to her aspergillus infection, was dramatically improved the very first time she used the Pulser 5K. Informal experimentation showed that symptoms would increase if the Pulser 5K was not used, and would be immediately diminished when it was used. This convinced me that the instrument has a dramatic effect on aspergillus, and probably on opportunistic bacterial infections that are often associated with aspergillus.
The Pulser 5K has also proved invaluable for treating other infections. I have found that a throat infection was stopped in its tracks as soon as I used it.
Our impression is that the Sota Magnetic Pulser is very useful for getting the lymphatic system moving, but the Pulser 5K is excellent at dealing with infections. This agrees with other anecdotal evidence we have come across (on the Beck-n-stuff Yahoo group for example).
We find it appalling that this extremely effective unit has not been approved for human use by the FDA. It seems to us that this technology should be funded for clinical trials, which we are convinced would show unequivocally the efficacy of this instrument, so that everyone has access to this marvelous technology.
We have also been very impressed with the after-sales support we have been given, despite the difficulties that the inventor has suffered as a result of the FDA witch-hunt against such technologies.
Oscillating magnetic fields also produce electric fields. Check out this site showing effectiveness of oscillating electric fields against leukemia (cancer of the blood or bone marrow) and MSRA (antibiotic resistant bacteria).

Here are two key books to read on the topic of this thread:
Dr William Nordquist's The Silent Saboteurs - Unmasking Our Own Oral Spirochetes As the Key to Saving Trillions in Health Care Costs (http://www.lymebook.com/silent-saboteurs-nordquist-krutchkoff)
Thomas Levy's Hidden Epidemic - Silent Oral Infections Cause Most Heart Attacks and Breast Cancers (https://www.amazon.com/Hidden-Epidemic-Infections-Attacks-Cancers/dp/0983772878)
Both books provide extensive and compelling evidence that hidden, asymptomatic oral infections may well be the single biggest cause of chronic disease in civilized humans, period.
These "holes" where "bugs" live are exactly what one would expect to see evidence of, on an x-ray.
The technical term is "Chronic Apical Periodontitis" (CAP), usually pronounced "See-Aye-Pee" on the Youtube videos of dentists talking to other dentists. It shows up as a dark spot near the root of a tooth. Dark spots on x-rays where there should be bone are signs of the bone having been eaten away by bacteria, allowing the x-rays to pass through more easily and darken the x-ray film. "CAP" is defined as a persistent inflammation of tissues adjacent to the apex of the tooth root.
The above two books document in detail, with compelling evidence, the origins of many chronic diseases, in various parts of the body. These origins are in (often hidden) oral infections, in the mouths of people consuming a "civilized" diet.
One can heal one's gums so that they look perfectly healthy, and so that there is zero pain or discomfort whatsoever, and then spend years dealing with seemingly unrelated diseases elsewhere in the body, which can NOT be cured until that tooth is removed and that diseased socket, including the ligament that held the tooth and adjacent diseased bone, are removed. I know that this can be done, because I just did it, restoring apparent health to my gums and teeth, where I had swollen abscesses and pain a few months ago ... apparent health, except for the CAP pockets showing on the x-rays, along with various signs of elevated inflammation in my body, such as higher than normal (for me) systolic blood pressure, and elevated C-Reactive Protein (CRP) in blood tests.
Given sufficient and complete nutrition, and if the toxic and stress burden is sufficiently low, then the body can heal most infections. However there are a few places in the body that the it can't heal itself. The roots of teeth are one of these places.
I have sworn off almost all modern medicine. There are some exceptions however. If I was seriously wounded by a gun shot, or seriously mangled in a car accident, I'd kiss the first medic that showed up (so long as the medic wasn't a guy <grin>).
I have also sworn off most conventional dental treatments, including fluoride, "silver" (mercury) fillings and root canals. I have spent much money on such treatments over the decades, and they have caused me much harm, including permanent deafness in one ear from mercury poisoning.
There are however some exceptions here as well. Given that I have several teeth with CAP (one a root canal, the others "healthy" teeth), I am currently interviewing for the best dentist I can find to remove these infections. While I am searching, I am using such disinfectants as iodine, ozone, and chlorine dioxide to reduce the infection. These have successfully removed all symptoms of pain and swelling and I am back to eating and chewing on all teeth as if they were healthy. My gums look great. But I know those CAP infected teeth are not healthy. I have both the bite-wing x-rays and a 3D cone beam scan (fancier, more detailed, x-ray) and I can see the "holes" ... the dark spots at the root of some of my teeth.
There are only two remedies: either go back in a time machine to your birth and never eat a "civilized" diet (grains and high carbs), or else remove CAP infected teeth and infected tissue and bone near the root of the tooth and then figure out what sort of implant, denture, bridge or other such device, if any, to use instead.
Leaving dead, rotting teeth in the mouth (even if they feel, look and work fine) is playing Russian Roulette, with various bullets labeled such as Cancer of this or that organ, Heart Disease, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Stroke, Macular Degeneration, Arthritis, Cardio-Vascular Disease, Hypertension, Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, Osteoporosis, or (if you're lucky) dying of some unrelated cause before one of these diseases makes your life miserable.
I don't like playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun, each bullet marked with a different way of ruining your life, and one's only hope being that something else will kill you first.
The evidence, some of it from just the last few years and quite compelling, is overwhelming. Get rid of CAP infected teeth, before they get rid of you.

interesting interview here with dr david kennedy.
it's long'ish, but basically his solution for gum and teeth issues is this:
- put 1 inch baking soda in a mason jar (roughly 20-25 oz jar), along with an inch of salt. fill with water and let settle.
- fill half of the water pik container with this solution(not the sediment on the bottom), and the other half with warm water. add a "splash" of iodine.
- water floss the from both the front and back of the teeth
- rinse water pik out with water.

interesting interview here with dr david kennedy.
it's long'ish, but basically his solution for gum and teeth issues is this:
It's mostly a long rant, but fun to listen to, and quite accurate, by David Kennedy, against the hydrofluosilicic acid, which is the "fluoride" thats put in the majority of water supplies in the US.
Kennedy also warns of lead and mercury, which are especially toxic together, and recommends that we do take sufficient iodine, selenium, Vitamin C, calcium and magnesium, which work together as partial antidotes to excessive fluoride intake.
By putting hydrofluosilicic acid in the majority of our water supplies in the US, we're damaging our children and the future of our country (and this isn't the only way we're doing that.)

The above two books document in detail, with compelling evidence, the origins of many chronic diseases, in various parts of the body. These origins are in (often hidden) oral infections, in the mouths of people consuming a "civilized" diet.
In other words, what I was saying here was that these two book show that oral infections, deep in the tooth sockets, are the primary cause of many chronic diseases. I now think I was wrong to claim this. I now think that this is a rather common error, claiming that some A is the, primary, cause of some disease B.
Just after making the above quoted post, I listened to this somewhat long (well, over two hours) and rambling video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KY8pq8GwLVo), in which someone with a variety of health issues tracked them down to a variety of causes, but especially to what's called (in the US anyway) "vegetable oils", but which are highly refined seed oils from such seeds as cotton, rapeseed (canola), safflower, sunflower, corn, and soybean seeds. These are industrially processed, damaged Omega 6 oils. I agree with this video, and presently I aggressively avoid these oils in my diet.
We also are "blessed" with vaccines, prescription medicines, chronic mineral deficiencies in common foods, and various chemical and EMF toxins in our food, water, air, and surroundings.
When I said (indirectly) that oral infections were the most common cause of chronic disease, I think now that I made a key error, an error that is very common in such discussions.
I realize now that there is seldom a single primary cause of any major class of health problems. Rather the human body (and of other living plants and animals) is multi-faceted and resilient, with many variations between various populations and circumstances. Consequently, what it takes to cause major, chronic damage to the body is multi-faceted. There is seldom a single cause, such that if that cause applies, then you have that chronic illness, otherwise you don't. It is not "A causes B. You get problem B if and only if you do or experience A."
In a multi-faceted environment, usually multiple things have to go wrong to cause serious damage.
In the case of oral infections, the two important books (by Nordquist and Levy) that I noted in the above quoted post make the case that such (often hidden) oral infections are almost always present in the presence of a variety of chronic diseases. However they acknowledge that not everyone with such oral infections has an active case of any such disease, at least not yet.
Once enough things go wrong (which varies by person) for any particular person, then various chronic diseases occur.
Good health is a matter of doing enough things right, and few enough things wrong.
Claims, such as mine above, that A is the (singular) most common cause of B are usually, as was mine above, overstated.

The culprit of gum disease is very often amoeba.
Kill amoeba with homeopathy and Hulda Clark zapper.
General deworming with wormwood helps.
Also constricted carotid arteries cause poor blood supply to the oral cavity, including the tongue (loss of taste) and gum.
Do not cook pork with microwave, because amoeba will survive microwave cooking.
Hulda Clark also wrote that mercury from tooth fillings is conducive to gum disease, but do not replace them with plastic.

It was inevitable, I suppose. Just got back from the dentist because of persistent pain for over two weeks now. Quick check and then came the verdict. We got to pull it, I was told. Seems I have no bone left around the tooth in question plus others. Dentist warned me gum disease is advanced and soon I will need to go for an operation, like my dad did around my age. I said no to the pulling, said dentistry doesn't really give viable options - just the usual, pull it and then we can put in an implant. I said that is not a viable option at all. He started laughing. I took a deep breath and let him have it with both barrels. Not stopping when he wanted to interrupt. Until in a huff he stalked out of the room. I called them all (dentistry in general) incompetent, lazy, zombies just following a routine and completely ignorant of health. When he wanted to defend himself with the usual 'Not my fault' line, 'I'm just following the recommended procedure', I told him imagine me as an electrician using that line on you after your office burns down.
Anyways, seems I am now a member of this unenviable club...
My first experiment will be with mms? Have to look that up and go through the pages. Not looking forward to it - sorting through all the back-slapping posts. I find it tedious and time consuming but for my health I will suffer through. So many have sworn by it that I think it will not be much of a risk.
How goes your battle, East Sun?
edit: I will be using this post as a quick reference, rather than searching it for it every time. thanks

I said no to the pulling
I'd suggest you look into the two books that I listed in Post #36 (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?96550-Dentist-says-I-have-disease-in-my-gums-jaw.....&p=1283454&viewfull=1#post1283454), above.
Leaving infected tissue in the mouth, even if (especially if) it's hidden well below the gum line and is no longer causing pain and suffering, may be the biggest primary cause of major health problems elsewhere in the body that there is.
I presently have three such infected teeth. I've gone from pain and swelling to "all seems fine" over the last few months, using various remedies such as ozone, iodine and chlorine dioxide, as I worked out protocols for each one that suited me. But those measures are just stop-gap measures, while I find a dentist that I can work with. Like you, I have little respect for most dentists, and I figure that the dentists that I have trusted ended up harming my health. So the search for a "good" (for me) dentist is taking some time. Those infected teeth -will- be pulled, fairly soon, and then I'll figure out what to do about it. "Shoot first, ask questions later."

Gum disease is very common, it can be genetic like most aspects of the physical realm. It was common for people to lose all of their teeth by the age of 40/45 and dentures become needed.
Just like some people live into their 90's or 100's and smoke and drink while others succumb to life very young, and if you look around this variation is very obvious, some people have problems with their teeth, and others do not.
Vitamin D3 is needed by most, we have a deficiency epidemic of D3 and this affects our bones along with our immune response. (I recall Henry Deacon speaking about D3 as good general preventative measure for health).
The oil pulling water pick, peroxide/bi-carb routines might help. I am like you, afflicted with bad teeth, and gum disease, I am 60, it is the only health problem I have, so I feel lucky, but dentures are inevitable for some people.

Falling out on its own still won't clean out the infected ligament and bone tissue in the socket.
Most areas of the body heal by themselves. Tooth sockets don't have enough blood and lymph flow, and aren't reliably self-healing. Rather by some accounts they are the most common primary source of cancer, cardio-vascular disease, dementia, and assorted other illnesses, elsewhere in the body.

After the course of anti-biotics, my tooth has become manageable as far as pain goes. The pain on a ten scale is about a constant two, with flares ups during the day to four and five.
So far I've done nothing special except meditating and summoning healing power to the site. That side of my face throbs with healing energies. Just not sure if I have enough belief to heal this troublesome issue.
Taking cod liver oil and D3, along with vit C to boost immune function.
I was hoping I could root it again or maybe grow a new tooth altogether but these forms of healing are truly beyond my current abilities - they shouldn't be but they are.
I will now decide on further protocols. Do I pull it? Do I let it fall out on its own, as another tooth already has? My new tooth brush is terrible - an Oral B/Crest collaboration that leaves parts of my teeth uncleaned and other parts ultra-white. Stupid design...
Thinking about MMS - a little scared of any magic tricks - I do not believe in the healing effects of magic pills. I do believe in their ability to poison me, however.
Another thing is the water pick, although again I am afraid of firing water between gum and teeth. My gums are not supple because of smoking and I do not want my gums separated permanently from my teeth. A new tooth brush is a must - will go back to Phillips sonic technology...
Another entry in my ongoing saga of loosing my teeth.

My own experience, and advised course of treatment from a dentist was somewhat the same as the original post, minus the bugs.
Some of my front teeth had had root canals many years ago due to being hit head on by a drunk driver at 65 miles per hour during which my head hit the steering wheel and "killed" three of my front teeth. This was back in the 80's and I got three root canals and caps. Loss of teeth can contribute to loss of bone.
After a very stressful period in my life, one of my back teeth just "fell out" and one of the bad caps had helped to create bone loss in the front of my mouth.
The first dentist I saw wanted to pull ALL my teeth and give me permanent implants, for 50,000.00 That's four zeroes. I almost had a heart attack which would have solved my tooth problem.
I went to another dentist who said my teeth certainly were not that bad. He did a major cleaning and sent me to a periodontist. I had to go to three or four rounds of planing my teeth at about 400.00 a pop. He then created a sling for the missing gum and bone using my own tissue, for a front tooth. The planing was to give my teeth and gums a healthy shot at halting the degeneration of the teeth.
Then my dentist, after months of at home bleaching, concocted a beautiful bridge for the front of my mouth for 15,000.00 which I paid over time.
Now I go every six months for a cleaning and a gum exam. So far so good. Flossing seems to be key to keeping inflammation at bay. And I got to keep my teeth.

I've tried Uncle Harry's peppermint remineralizing toothpaste and it has really stopped the tooth pain sensitivity, it's all the good stuff in one small package. : Bentonite clay, calcium carbonate, sea salt, mustard seed, peppermint, eucalyptus, clove, wintergreen, and oregano essential oils. And honestly I've tried lots of different brands this one makes a real difference.
For the tight and more problematic spots I use an interdental brush dip it in clove oil and gently gab it in between the teeth with the problem spots. Vitamin K2 in addition to D3 is also critical to regrowing the teeth (still ongoing). so yes, cod liver oil, D3, K2, and unpasteurized butter, and hopefully organ meats or bone broth.

The Truth About Dentistry
It’s much less scientific—and more prone to gratuitous procedures—than you may
think.
https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2019/05/the-trouble-with-dentistry/586039/
In the early 2000s Terry Mitchell’s dentist retired. For a while, Mitchell, an
electrician in his 50s, stopped seeking dental care altogether. But when one of
his wisdom teeth began to ache, he started looking for someone new. An
acquaintance recommended John Roger Lund, whose practice was a convenient
10-minute walk from Mitchell’s home, in San Jose, California. Lund’s practice
was situated in a one-story building with clay roof tiles that housed several
dental offices. The interior was a little dated, but not dingy. The waiting room
was small and the decor minimal: some plants and photos, no fish. Lund was a
good-looking middle-aged guy with arched eyebrows, round glasses, and graying
hair that framed a youthful face. He was charming, chatty, and upbeat. At the
time, Mitchell and Lund both owned Chevrolet Chevelles, and they bonded over
their mutual love of classic cars.

Great article linked above, Ramus!
General Dentistry, even more-so than General Surgery, is pretty heavy in the tried and true for the region’s standard of care. This approach can be great for simple and urgent fixes, but some of these complicated endodontic issues we are just learning more about, especially how they impact the cardiovascular system, aren’t as easy to deal with.
As with any science, the old habits die hard, but there are more holistic dentistry offices opening up - at least around where I live.

Hello just joined, been using the same Hydrogen Peroxide, for my gum disease, the dentist informed me 3%, works amazing, but the biggest advantage to this great product is how it aids recovery through oxygenating the muscles, being a cyclist it has worked great for me. I'm fighting an infection with essential oils.
Clove oil diluted with olive oil, directly applied to the gum.
Cypress oil applied to the painful spot (skin above jaw bone) immediately took the pain away. Pretty impressive.
Needless to say, the oils have to be of non-adulterated brands.
Oils extracted with solvents will make you sick.
I'll give it a go a few more weeks, and if there's no major improvement, I'll have no choice. Antibiotics. (I'm waiting on echinasea and golden seal)

If the infection is a bit serious, I would suggest the following:
- essential oil (oregano or clove or thyme or what you have), 2 or 3 drops in a tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil, swallow. Even better, get 00 capsules put 5/6 drops eo and fill it with olive oil. Take 1 capsule before each meal
- Mouth wash: in a 0.5 lit glass bottle fill it half with distilled water, then add 4 teasp baking soda, then add a good teasp TSP (Trisodiumphosphate), the TSP you get at hardware store, next shake well to dissolve next fill up with hydrogen peroxide, you can even add a few drops of oregano or clove eo. Use it as mouth wash (don't swallow), keep it in your mouth for a few mts, do it 4 to 5 times a day or more.
Any infection in the mouth trickles down and infect the entire body, guts included; that's why you need an oral dose, not just the mouth wash. You can also keep applying your eo on the gum after each mouth wash.
Do this for at least 7/8 days.

His message is a focus on maximizing health and performance naturally – unleashing your maximum potential – by changing the way you think and eat. We all know that cancer affects millions of people – worldwide – and often ends with tragic results. Once diagnosed with cancer, Western medicine wants us to believe that the best course of action is to chemically-poison the body with chemotherapy, at times – burn the body with radiation and, in many cases, subject the body to ineffective (risky) surgical procedures. Yet, we know of many cases – where people don’t use these methods and fully recover – using natural therapies. On this program, we’ll talk about one of the MOST OVERLOOKED causes of cancer, an incredible story of recovery and, more importantly, reveal a huge warning for anyone looking to avoid the unwanted pain associated with this disease."

I recommend having mercury fillings removed by a dentist qualified to do the procedure. Best thing I did for my health and wellbeing.
It took a lot of visits and expense but was well worth it.
(The dentist that removed my mercury fillings is the same Dr. mentioned in my original post.
When I told him I would not follow his advice re having teeth extracted because if "bugs" he got angery with me and would not return my calls).
My Naturopathic Dr. agreed with me and not the Dentist whom he knows.
I have not gone to a dentist for over a year and my teeth are fine as far as I can tell.
