What was the purpose of building these strange Tibetan towers?

Well, line of sight doesn't make sense when you have four clustered together, unless each tower handled message traffic from different points of the compass.

It had to be something so obvious to the culture that no mention of purpose was needed.

Or a religious/spiritual taboo on mentioning the subject?

Seriously, a star shaped building able to withstand earthquakes, each side compressing tighter as the ground shifted? That would be a wonderful thing to rediscover.

The mention of SKY CORDS sounds like Sky Elevators which enabled the travelers to escape earth gravity. The towers then could be the containers into which the Sky Elevators retracted. Then there is the earthquake story. Perhaps the shapes and height of the towers acted as a release for the frequencies generated prior to an earthquake to which animals respond. Alternately, they could simply be air vents or inlets for underground dwellers.

Very interesting. It reads like a bad email scam but the content is good.

Perhaps the signal was not light but rather sound? They do have those ancient long pipes or horns in those parts, they could have used those from the top to spread messages, aiming several horns or one horn in one of the corresponding stars directions toward the next target tower, a way of ensuring all towers are aiming at the same target???

Perhaps the star shape was deployed for stability and their long height gave the structure some wobble helping the towers to be earthquake proof???

Just guesses. Who knows, but interesting none the less, thanks for posting..x... N

Maybe the star towers represent a star system? Or some
Other type of mapping out of some sort?...the possibilities are endless, I do like what nasu proposed that maybe they were meant to be used for sound and a tool is missing. :)
