The recent breakthrough technologies in Europe of faster than light communications as applied to SETI, has a significantly higher chance of first contact from an ET civilization than radio SETI. A recent presentation using statistical evaluation suggests contact may be in about 12 months as compared to radio SETI of 20 years.

See a full details under General Discussion Science: Breakthrough technology implications of Communications with Extra terrestial Civilizations

Here is a the presentation on the Jodrell Bank Manchester site.

If this is the case and we receive official contact by 2018, then couldn’t this unexpectedly be the trigger for final Disclosure?
