Ninety percent of blinking lights are usually of known origin just as ninety percent of people will be fooled by the blinking. Does this explain the importance of mimicry to blend-in? This video shows what makes the object different than conventional aircraft lighting. The way the lights pulse in intensity is unlike the typical on & off abrupt pattern change of aircraft aviation lights. Also aviation lights will not change in color but will usually maintain a standard red & green lighting on the wings. Part way through the video the blinking stops. Changes in color, pattern and illumination are also observed as well as each individual light reacting as if on a dimmer switch!
