Leo varadkar has been elected leader of Fine Gael but must wait till Tuesday to become Taoiseach ( prime minister). The contest came about because Enda Kenny stepped down both as Taoiseach ( prime minister) and leader of Fine Gael he has been in power 6 years . The new leader Leo varadkar in waiting is gay a first for Ireland.
Has there every been a gay prime minister before anywhere in the world:confused:

Ha - according to Joan Rivers
"Obama is gay and Michelle is a tranny"
Although she seemed healthy enough as she trotted up the stairs after making that statement, she was dead two days later.
There were although, reports that she was seen/heard (who could mistake that voice) incognito in the back of some swanky LA restaurant after the fact.
It's easy enough to google this stuff as well as Obama, at least twice, calling Michelle: 'Michael' in front of multiple witnesses.
ie: after ariving back jetlagged and addressing a room full of 'dignitaries'-
"Michael and I would like to thank you all...."
A Freudian slip mayhap?
And people close to me wonder why I can't take any of this seriously 😂
To address your question jonsnow - as far as I'm aware Varadkar
could well be the first openly gay political leader.

The premier of Ontario, Canada, is openly gay. She seems to tow the line for tptb, such as preventing any community from removing fluoride from their water system, and heavily peddling the lgbt agenda in the schools. She is not very popular here and likely wont get re-elected.
Over the years, there have been many aspertions cast over the sexual affinities of those in 'the hot seats', but whether this is reality by desire or blackmail is the problem. Many are 'set up' to be controlled, loads of references to paedo/gay/porn et al scatter the internet. What is real, and what is fake?
No matter what lifestyle choices people make, if they have good and honest intentions in public service, and do no harm, that's what will matter in the long run.

Sexual orientation is not a lifestyle choice. Would you call having blue eyes, being left handed, or red haired a lifestyle choice?
Sexual orientation is a part of a human's beingness. It is not the equivalent of choosing a couch from Ikea.
This "life style choice" meme has insidiously (and I suspect deliberately) infiltrated any discussion on sexual orientation to create the belief that one can choose one's sexual orientation. This is not the case. One can choose to express or suppress one's sexuality but that will not alter one's sexual orientation

Johanna Sigurdardottir became the world's first openly gay leader of Iceland in 2009. She retired from politics in 2012.

Loads of UK prime ministers have been gay, even though they may have had wives (like Tony Blair for example), but no one really has a big problem with that, it's the child abusers that show the system up for what it is !
From the Irish perspective does this new PM look like a step change to keep in with Europe's new & sinister direction with the likes of Macron in France ?
