I heard that ionic air purifiers creates negative ions and ozone that is bad for health.

Please advice anything with regards to air purifiers.

Thanks

personally i think a little ozone is probably good for people.... i know it does purify the air quickly and keeps fruit and vegetables from going off longer
but it is classified as toxic

and immediately so...

I have had an ozone generator for about 20+ years and am happy to have it, any advice would be to use thought and intelligence when applying it to any use or purpose.....don't leave it on in a room with people in it.....
a guy i know in janitorial service uses an industrial sized generator to get smoke and other smells out of properties and kill off mold/mildew.... he closes the doors seals off the space being treated, sets it to produce and calculates the time of exposure desired to amount of ozone produced..... when done he shuts the machine off and opens the doors...ozone vents off very fast and doesn't linger around, use a fan to vent a space faster.

I've had one as well for over 15 years. It helps with bacteria, molds, smells etc. I live in a tropical zone where it's very humid and use mine all the time with no ill effect.

I believe the negative health warnings are a bit over blown. Also, many people are helped by some ozone therapy; do a little more research on it and look for health benefits and see what you think.

All the best :)

Aloe vera plants are supposed to be very good also...

We use 3 Venta airwashers and a Sharp air purifier during the cold months. The Venta airwashers filter a lot of crap out of the air and the Sharp air purifier is the best one out there. It is a 3 stage, very quiet unit. It adds ozone periodically.

do you have to clean the filters periodically or just replace with a new one.

after doing some research years ago i found that this one is the best purifier with most filtering methods for its low price. had to give it away but when moving into new place year ago i found that the market havnt changed much so got myself another one. it can be noisy but i always keep it at lowest fan speed. highly recommend.

Ozone is God's gift. Small amounts are safe to breath. Larger amounts can be injected into the skin and muscle. Even larger amounts can be insufflated into the colon (this is where miracles occur).

You'll know when you are breathing too much ozone. The lungs and throat will become slightly irritated.

I have an airpurifyer with ozone and neg ions and a home ozonating machine.

I generally drink ozonated water, clean fruit and vegetables or put it on my skin. It can be a bit rough and irritating of the nose and throat at first but you quickly adapt to it. I also buy ozonated olive oil for healing, it is very good. Apparently Ozone therapy is quite popular in Germany. Only a few alternative doctors use it here in Toronto, Canada. Ozone breaks down very quickly.

After what you all have shared, i'm not surprise that ozone is classified as toxic.

Pardon my ignorance, Bubu, but I had always thought that MMS works because it creates ozone: sodium chlorite plus water gives you oxygen2 molecules plus other things, yes?

Also, isn't oxygen the primary end product of digestion?

Also, I know that terminally ill patients are sometimes kept alive through being given extra oxygen.

Yes! Ozone is O3, that is, 3 oxygen molecules. It's unstable and one molecule breaks away and finds another singlet to form O2 or oxygen. As I recall it takes about 30 seconds for this to happen.

BTW, someone mentioned to me they were looking into purchasing a negative ionizing clothes washing machine that uses no water. A strange and new idea but it makes sense.

yes thats why government classify it as toxic. Its good for us.

A few municipalities use ozone to purify the water supply, eschewing chlorine. A wonderful idea!

Careful with cheaper ozone machines! If you're using one of the $60- $150 ones from Amazon or whatever, beware. You must use 100% oxygen when making ozone. Less expensive machines will make carbon monoxide from the nitrogen in the air. Even oxygen generators don't produce pure oxygen and aren't a good choice when making ozone.

It's likely you'll have to spend upwards of $2,000 for a quality machine. We use the base model from Longevity. This is the machine used by most natural physicians, only the more expensive ones in the Longevity line.
