Our dear friend Foxie mentioned recently she enjoys reading about the experiences of others, and I couldn't agree more. I will reprint one of mine, and invite others to share their stories ...

I'm feeling an odd sense of nervousness and relief as I type. I've told two humans this story, and you will be the 'third'. I understand that to many forum members my experience will be a mere blip on the radar, but of course we all have our own perspectives. I've seen four UFOs; this was the second. This happened about two years ago.

If I can arrive early enough I will often walk down a particular wooded alley and have a smoke with my coffee before work. Sometimes you can see the Moon after sunrise, and this was such a morning. I look up and see a star next to the Moon and think, Hmm, I've never seen that before. A star right next to the Moon. What star is that? I'll have to look that up. I guess I've never been awake at this time of year to see that. Looking back, this is so strange because I was reading George LoBuono's Alien Mind at the time, and my head was full of vague visions of aliens and stars ... but I didn't think anything was out of the ordinary ...

I look up and think, How about that. Isn't that odd. Its a star right next to the Moon. Just like a wheel on the road.

As I look a weird feeling comes over me and the hair on my neck starts to literally stand up as some kind of depth perception kicks in ...

Holy smoke, I think. That's not a star. Its a thing.

Now I'm feeling a little strange and I'm looking down the alley to see if anyone's around. I'm hoping to see the nice lady who walks her dog that I know but don't know. Nope. Nobody around but the birds, who probably know more than I do. I put my coffee down on a nearby garbage can and look up at the Moon and the thing. I stare for another minute or two. I pick my coffee up and turn around.

Its gone.

Some months subsequent to this I'm having a conversation with a business associate that I've gotten to know over the years. Although not exactly 'friends', we've always gotten along, and are happy for the opportunity when it arises to work together. For some reason, on this day we start talking about UFOs and stuff. This person seems interested, so I go into my 'Fun Facts To Know And Tell About The Moon' rap. One thing leads to another, so I tell my tale about the Moon and the 'Star'. This person gets a serious look in the eye, and says, What do you know about aliens? Well, I say, actually I know a lot about aliens, I've read a few books on the subject. For example, I know that as of 1989, the US military had identified and documented at least 57 races of aliens. I know what they're called, I know where they're from, I know what they look like, and in some cases I feel as if I know something about their agendas. Before I realize what's happening, I'm listening to a detailed story about this person's life as a contactee. Then I'm listening to a family history, going back generations. Next thing I know, this person is taking off their shoes to show me some 'implants'. This is more information than I'm prepared for and I can only look for a second at what appear to be dark strips on the foot soles.

Then this person says, Why do you suppose they chose you to show themselves to? As this idea had never entered my head, I say, I never thought that, I just figured I was at that particular place at that particular time. Now, I'm not so sure.

I had an incident back in the 80s , quite bizzare . Getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

We where 4 witnesses in a boat at night having a quite close encounter with something glowing white disc shaped.
But my friends recollection of it seemed to be erased immediately after the incident had happened.
That´s what I find so creepy.
I´ll try put myself together and post a sumary of it later.

My only "claim to fame" seems to be synchronicities! I had one recently where one of my "guides" or "angels", however one refers to our non visible helpers, actually moved my cell phone during the night to set in motion a sequence of events so that my furnace got a good overhaul! :clap2:

Thank you Bluegreen for asking others to share their stories.

I am one of the others and the UFO subject is the main reason why I reasently joined this Forum.
Even though people in society around the globe are more open to the subject nowdays, it´s difficult to find serious likeminded clever and open people.

I havn´t told anyone about it in any detail at least so far, so here we go.

My UFO sighting back in the 1988 14th Aug at 00.15 AM. (had my 20th birthday the day before, and watched my wrist watch at the moment We enetered the boat for checking the crayfishtraps)

Me, my older brother and 2 friends Ylva & Anna were crayfishing at night in a rowing boat at the countryside outside the City of Falun in Sweden.
I sat in the front seat of the boat, gazing with amazement at the starlit sky, far away from all light pollution I´m used to from the city.
My older bvrother was rowing and the other 2 sharing the backseat of the boat.

Along with the Big dipper, Cassiopeia and other constallations the full moon was glowing bright whitish yellow on my left side quite cloose to the horizon.

Then suddenly I noticed an elipse shaped bright light slowly moving in from the the right side of the sky, about the same size as the moon.
It moved in from left and curved to a point in the sky in front of the boat very slowly and completely silent.
I estimate 300 meters above us, during a timespan of 6 to 8 minutes.

Then it stoped completely and started to move slowly straight upwards, and as it did so some kind of vapour, mist or smoke manifested creating a cone of light underneath it as it slowly ascended,
as when you hold a flashlight in dense fog. (I agree It sounds quite silly ,but that was what happened.)

I remeber the image of my right arm pointing at the object, and the head´s of the other 3 in the boat looking up towards it.
I can´t rember any sound at all while watching this, not even myself saying/shouting "whats that ?" or anyone else in the boat saying anything. (there where no other background noices in the area at that time of night.)

After that visual memory I can´t remember anything more from that night.

What scared the crap out of me is what happened in the morning after.

Since English is not my native language and I didn´t realize how difficult this was to write about having a spooky avervation recalling it
I´ll have to take a break now.

Very interesting, what happened the morning after & have you had any flashbacks, follow on experiences or found anything that could be an implant ?

From my perspective you were clearly "abducted", did you have any medical or psychological problems afterwards such as allergies or strong reactions to certain things ( being "triggered") ?

Did you suddenly find you had a new interest in something like the occult, mediation, astronomy etc following this event ?

His English is as good as anyone's, I think the problem is trying to relate something that doesn't relate to reality in your own language is hard enough, it's like tearing your brain to put it in another.

I've had many sightings of craft over the last 20 years or so, some very close some right out there that respond to a green lazer pointer, even had a couple come down & draw out a couple of local fighter planes just to reinforce that fact that they are capable of being physical, inc a "dogfight" display to show how poor our best are against craft that can do instantaneous 180 turns & speeds in the 1000's of mph (without sound barrier booms).

These craft have included a triangle, saucers & orbs, but the orbs could be saucers in a plasma "bubble".

I have had missing time, implants, electrocutions & seen all the main types of "beings", grays (in my room) & Reptilians, Mantids & Nordics (on craft)...and the MILABS that follow.

ATM I am losing cerebral spinal fluid from my right nostril & have a lot of pain in my skull, no idea where this is going, but just wanted to post that in case I can't later.

I saw a ufo in the summer of 1975 at summer camp where i was a teenage counsellor. My tentmate and i were heading back to our tent from the messhall after the afterhours pub via canoe. Our tent was on the backside of camp island in georgian bay, ontario. It was dark and as we crossed a bay we started hearing the screams of some creature, it sounded like the death screams of rabbit. We stopped paddling and listened. Then, the screams stopped. A few moments later we noticed a white light over the trees, which seemed a long way off, perhaps miles, it started changing colours and little webs of white lightning seemed to periodically shoot out from it. Eventually it grew smaller and went down over the tree horizon. We then continued to our tent with no further incident, to my memory.

The following day i mentioned to other staff what we had seen and a director at our table leaned forward and said 'you didnt see anything'. The second time i heard him say this i shut up for good.

A few years later i ran into my tentmate at university. When i asked him about the incident he denied any recall of it.

So, there you go, a ufo encounter that includes ridicule oppression of one witness and the amnesia of another. That seems to be par for the course on this subject. ;-)

I just started typing in answers to all your good questions, then suddenly ,I miss hit some silly button on my keyboard,all disapeared. DOH! :(

Therefore , Very brief answers now

1.What happened the morning after, I will resume to later, "to be continued"
2. About implants, 2 times a puncturemark´s on my wrist
Once i woke up with a sprayed foot angle could hardly go to office day after? My foot was perfecttly OK when I went to bed. (Had to lie to collegues in office day after, why i limped errr, played football wih my nephew, or similar)
Having like cattclaws scars on my skin randomly appearing and placed on my body from out of nowhere.
3. Well above is what I can say about medical, Psychological problems is a good question. I know I tended to be more of a loner after that.
4.Yes, I suddenly found myself literally switched, but it happened several years later afetr the incident. I´ll explain it in the continuation of my post, I promise!

I hate to say but you can expect some strange things to happen when you post about such things, but it's always best to write long posts up on "word" or "libre office" on your PC for various reasons, not least the "time out" problem on forums.

It sounds (unsurprisingly) that you are a long term abductee, this could predate your "sighting" by many years or even lifetimes.

From your reply I think you have much more to think on that may not have either been that obvious previously or you chose to not see that way for totally understandable reasons.

Part 2 UNEDIITTED (it´s misspellings and not as good as part one)

I realised I better get this part of the story down quickly.

We were done nightime crayfishing and my bro was roing us back to the opposite side of the lake where the main house was.

It was daylight early in the morning and everything seemed normal, when I suddenly recollected what we had experienced in the starlit sky just hours earlier, so I was about to talk about it, like " WoW! What did we see last night!?" and "WHY! didn´t we spend the rest of the night talking about it?"
... but I could not, my jaw´s were padlocked ?

My mouth/tongue was like paralyzed and the harder I tryed utter a word about It a terrible anguish or anxiety overwhelmed me!
So I sat there in the rowingboat quite as a mouse, BU TOALY HORRIIFYED!!! over this bizzare situation.
After reaching the main building, first thing I did was running up the stairs grabbing a pen and some paper, making an elipse shaped doodle, while thinking "I MUST NEVER forget this!".
It´s was almost impossible to make that little doodle on that paper.

The same "force? " muting me previously in the boat seemed to create an almost unbearable pain inside my soul and mind making the "UFO" doodle.

Guess what hapened next?
I completely repressed the incident for some 20 years...

Randomly watching some UFO show on telly 2010 or so, something was "triggered" inside of me, poking for attention!?
I still had a clear memory of what I saw that night, and it all came back to me. I asked myself why did I put a lid on it, try to burry it ?

Since then I stopped watching crap telly.
Got kind of obsessed with UFO´s. Like Richard Dreyfyss in Close encounter´s of the 3rd kind.
Read books and watched everything worth watching on youtube and even went to visit seminar with lecturers from UFO Sweden.

Should I try find help through regressive hypnosis to recall memories from that night or not ?
It keeps growing on me.

Forum member Truman Cash has written two excellent books about his experiences which are available on every single one of his posts. Some chapters were written with retrieved memories obtained without the use of hypnosis, which he does NOT recommend. Although I personally have not investigated his techniques, I know they are based at least in part on the discoveries of L Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology. If you have a problem with Scientology, I don't blame you; it is today nothing more than a ruthless, money-mad crime syndicate and it is a complete mystery to me why their leaders are not in jail. However, Bill Ryan, Mr Cash, and others will tell you there is value to be found in Hubbard's original, unadulterated teachings. Perhaps you can PM.

Thanks for sharing everyone! Very interesting stories! I've had two pretty dramatic sightings. This is the last one. About 6/7 years ago my wife, myself, and her cousin were sitting around a fire in the backyard of our house in Georgia. It was after a UGA/LSU game for those that follow college football. We had won and were celebrating well into the night. Around 2am or so I heard my wife exclaim "What the hell is that bus thing floating?". Before I could turn around a HUGE shadow started to pass overhead. And it wasn't a bus! To be honest, we differed on opinion as to the shape because it was so huge and right upon us. I think it was more delta shaped, while they think it was more like a huge block. Either way, it passed overhead at about treetop level and was so big you had to look in every direction to see it all. It stopped. Motionless, just sitting there. It was black and the texture reminded me of snakeskin or plates, or scaly in appearance. The "skin" seemed alive. It was pulsing every color and rippling. It seemed to have a haze around it, like a heat mirage. Then as we stood in awe, it moved again, closer to a church next to our house. It never banked, nor turned. It moved in different directions but never changed its relative position to us. When it moved over this hundreds years old oak tree, not a leaf fluttered. No noise at all. My wife said something to the effect of "Don't go away". As soon as the words left her mouth it started coming towards us. We fled. We watched from under the back porch as it slowly moved down the neighborhood, never getting higher than just above treetops. I saw it seem to start shrinking, or imploding on itself without a sound. Then it accelerated straight up so fast the eye couldn't catch it. It was instantly with the stars seemingly, so much that we couldn't pick it out any longer. No idea what it was or from where it came. There is Robins AFB about 20 miles from here but they're a small refueling base.
We tried to reach out but no one seemed interested. Lon Strickler did do a write up on his website. And that's my last sighting and most wonderful! I'll tell the first another time. Thanks!

Two very bright orbs apparent size of moon, with coronas make S-turns over Lake Siljan.

Unusual objects were sighted, that had unconventional appearance and performance. Two balls were observed for two minutes.

Sounds like you've been around the block a couple thousand times
Is there one experience that stands out? If so, why?

There isn't a stand out experience, at various times this or that seems more relevant, some were horrific, some awesome, some painful & some just disturbing.

Not all are ufo or abduction related, they include ghosts, talking to the dead, ludicrous co-incidences, battles with RV types, & healing work.

Some of the strangest moments have been when other people are involved, I don't know why but high strangeness is far weirder shared with an ordinary person than it is with a being or animal.

Having to lie to Doctors at the X-ray clinic was one, one time I had to say that I'd had a bad motorcycle accident to cover for the damage to my neck, another time I just had to shrug when a Doctor saw my mid & low back X-rays & couldn't understand why I wasn't in a wheelchair.

Another X-ray moment was after my leg was broken in some kind of psychic attack, the first X-ray showed the bone needed moving, & the Dr wanted to pin it,...... that night three "light beings" showed up whilst my wife was asleep & did a big healing on it, I went to the main hospital to get a new cast the next day (or day after) & their X-ray showed that the bone out of alignment was now in the right place.

They also x-rayed my foot & denied me that they had, I think there may have been something on the X-ray, coming to think of it why did that posh sounding English Dr come in & talk out of my earshot to the guy treating me ? This was not in the UK btw.

Some years ago there was this Dominican Priest / monk that I was acquainted with, he was very high up but very humble, anyway he got very ill with a brain tumour & ended up in some place in Paris....and I had these really bizarre dreams that these light beings turned up & we went to see him (in the astral) where I talked to him & did what I could.

I told my wife about it & not long after he passed over...

Not long after that there was a special service for him at the local Priory where he'd headed a regular "retreat", afterwards one of the very reserved & middle class ladies that knew him & was with him in Paris chased after me as I left the service.

She was very agitated, flustered & confused, she knew something had gone on because apparently he had been talking about me in ways they couldn't make sense of in his last days, and everyone knew we hardly knew each other (not to mention I was hundreds of miles away )

Why does this relate to UFO's ? It just does, contact changes your consciousness........

Thanks, Spiral, for sharing what has happened to you. Interesting about the Light Beings. I think I must consider myself rather fortunate NOT to have had any such experiences. Looks like there ARE no "answers" & we just have to "go with the flow"! :facepalm:

Never go with the flow, you might need to bend like a reed but never go with the flow...never stop asking & never lose the spirit of wonderment !

Your interest can't be idle if I may say that (no one gets into this or sees something for no reason), and if you are red headed then you are far more likely to be closer to "this" than most, that's just the way it is, my grandfather (paternal ) was a red head & so are two of my brothers, one of which has come of far worse than I in all this !

BTW I realised after I posted earlier today that it might seem rather fantastic & in some way superior to what other people have for life experiences, well it's not, it might be different, but it's not better, they may be a purpose to it, but then there is a purpose to most things.

I have hardly scratched the surface with what I've been through but its been awful, it's been dark, it's been hollow, lonely & close to madness, & the physical pain has been off the scale, please bear this in mind with things that I post that are merely tangential aspects to a greater truth.

I truly AM sorry for all you have had to live through, Spiral, & I take it you, yourself do not understand what has been going on with you, or the "purpose" to it all? :confused:

I'm sure your Greater Truth would be truly unbelievable!! Have you been able to sift through it all in order to come to any sensible answers? It WOULD be rather lonely not being able to share with someone who could even fathom what you are talking about! Has that been possible with your brothers?

By the way, my maternal Grandfather had carrot red hair! :idea:

Fortunately I'm not lonely at all, and forums such as this are invaluable for sharing experiences outside the norm.

I have two red haired brothers, one of whom has told me incredible things but that's not for me to talk about...

Coolio, yeah I have no idea what I'm looking at in the sky. I really want to learn though. Thanks!

And i have only seen one thing that I'm almost positive was a UFO. I've had other weird experiences that weren't UFO sightings but most certainly are related to them somehow.

Speaking of celestial bodies,I have two cases of unknown missing stars.For the first one I have the proof,for the second one I have to wait for October this year.

First one.Last year in May there was a big bright pink-orange star raising SSE at an elevation of about 35 degrees an it lasted until June.Me and my wife we always wait for that star to raise because that was the moment when it start our sky watching being enough dark.The star have a normal trajectory as any other stars as Earth rotated,so nothing unusual with that,only its size,brightness and color.Well,this year that big bright pink-orange star didn't appeared.

The second one - I wrote about this on forum.Also happened last year but in October,there was a big bright white-blue-ish star raising SSW this time at an elevation of about 40 degrees an it lasted for 3-4 weeks.What was interesting about it,it was that the star raised at about 5 PM,so it was enough light outside.

If the second one will be confirmed,then I have two suppositions:
1- either "somebody/something" has forgotten to appropriate "painting" the sky :) or
2- that was something out of this world.

As size comparison both of them were at least as big as the one near the moon from the picture posted.

Could it have been a Nova (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nova)/Supernova (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supernova) ?

A supernova is an astronomical event that occurs during the last stellar evolutionary (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellar_evolution) stages of a massive star (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massive_star)'s life, whose dramatic and catastrophic destruction is marked by one final titanic explosion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explosion). This causes the sudden appearance of a "new" bright star, before slowly fading from sight over several weeks or months.

Supernovae are more energetic than novae (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nova). In Latin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_language), nova means "new", referring astronomically to what appears to be a temporary new bright star. Adding the prefix "super-" distinguishes supernovae from ordinary novae, which are far less luminous. The word supernova was coined by Walter Baade (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Baade) and Fritz Zwicky (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_Zwicky) in 1931.

I had a ufo encounter in Poland about 2009. I was on a beach pier with my gf (at the time) and her cousin, in Kolobrzeg, Poland. It was nightime. I remember thinking and saying out loud, "I wish I could see a ufo right now". At that moment I looked up in the sky and saw a bright white light in a fixed position in the sky. They both looked up also and my gf said, "oh look a ufo!"

It began flashing on and off, a single light in a pattern, for a short period of time. About 10-15 seconds of time and about 5-6 times the light went on then off. At the end it simply went dark.

What was interesting to me is the nature of the interaction. I felt that it was trying to communicate with me, as if to say, "Hi". It stayed there for a moment, until I began to doubt that it was real, then it vanished. I felt bad immediately, as though I had disappointed it or offended it somehow. It was like it said, "here is your chance". But I failed to accept my senses. It was real, I am sure now.

Another interesting factor is the feeling of connectedness and communication with it. It felt as though it were alive and that it was some collective consciousness of a group of a few aliens. I could feel a kindness and liking of me at first, until of course the disappointment it showed at my disbelief.

What happened was that I started to believe that I was looking at a star and that there were clouds passing in front of a star, but later my gf assured me that the sky was clear of clouds. I was skeptical during that interaction, but I am sure aliens exist. I have many different perspectives on that though, which I won't describe just now. I am positive now that they were real and communicating with me.

I actually just had a vision of relief from them, that I had accepted them as real and recognized their attempt to make contact with me.

I also had 2 more encounters, these were both in dreams.
The first was very short. In the dream, I walked into the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror. When I looked in the mirror my body and face were that of an alien. It's hard for me to describe it though the skin was waxy and hairless, naked, and had a greyish complexion. I believed it to be an archon. As I stood in front of the mirror, my body became paralyzed and my mouth (the alien's mouth in the mirror) began opening and closing beyond my control. It opened and closed three times. I remember feeling terrified at my loss of control over my body. The paralysis ended, and that was the end of the dream. This was in 2009 or 2010 I was living in Shreveport, LA at the time, in a small apartment.

The second dream was months or a year later, at least 2010. This dream was very vivid, as the first, but more elaborate in detail. There was a clearing, surrounded by woods, circular in shape, about 25 yards in diameter. It was empty at first. I noticed two small structures. One looked like a small shed, about 10' x 20' made of wood. I did not go into it. A little closer to the clearing was another structure. it was only about 3' high and 2 feet long. It was made of concrete I think, with an angled covering of corrugated metal. Only one side was open, facing away from the clearing and I could not see the clearing as I inspected it.

As I looked inside I brushed off the dirt of what seemed to be a plaque made of a metal, silver in color, with inscriptions on it. It may have been silver. As I brushed my hand over it the metal became illuminated. Simultaneously I saw a light appear from behind the small structure over the clearing. It was a disc shaped ufo arriving. It was only there for a short time, then disappeared into the sky. Wen I came around it to see, it was gone, but there stood a group of robed and hooded humans standing in a circle. Probably about 30 people, maybe less. The did some chanting., I think.

It's difficult to recall, but I believe the plaque had my full name inscribed on it, along with my birthday. It was definitely magical and I activated it by brushing it.

Thank you for sharing Jeb. I'll match. I've never written about this one. This is the one me and my friend both call The Mothership.

I was early going in to work which is a fairly large building with a parking lot. It was about 6:30 AM, an hour after a heavy rain, the sky was grey grey, solid clouds. I look up and see a huge ring in the sky almost directly overhead, solid, a grey-black color. The first thing in my head was it looked like a giant toddler's plastic donut that babies place over a plastic pole. It appeared to be perfectly round, with defined, not wispy, edges. Maybe 70-100 stories above the ground. I thought, The building could fit inside that middle hole. What … ?

Oh lord. Its The Mothership.

I run into the building and get my friend. He comes out and says, Holy sh-t, and runs to the other end about 200 yards away. I'm vaguely aware of a few early arrivers, but it is still dark and nobody is paying attention to us or the sky. Nor us to them.

This is funny. The overriding emotion I felt during this entire time was nothing but annoyance. I was enthused about a project I was working on, which is why I arrived early. My exact thought: Dammit. Why did they pick today to land? Now the TV cameras and chaos will be here. I was actually making plans while I'm looking at this thing on how I was going to avoid the TV cameras I was sure would show up in twenty minutes. After gawking for longer than we wanted to, we both went inside while it was still up there. This happened about five years ago and he still says: I wish we could go back to that day.

I have found pictures of lenticular clouds that are similar, but I've only seen slightly irregular shapes and undefined edges. I showed these pictures to my friend and he says: Definitely not. Certainly the conditions were such to produce a natural phenomena of some kind, and the circle is one of the most common forms in nature. This is interesting: my friend calls the middle 'the rainbow circle'. I did not see this, but it again suggests a natural phenomena. I'm ready to accept that, but as for now it will remain an 'unidentified flying object'.

That's a good story, Bluegreen. I actually meditated once on what a real ufo might look like and what you describe is what I saw. A large ring-shaped object grey-black in color and and quite large. I'd say what you saw was not a natural phenomena.

I was working double shifts at a large outdoor location in a yard for vehicles and equipment at the edge of the property. Workers would come and get what they needed, and I was there. There were either seven people waiting in line or nobody and nothing to do. There was a picnic table where I could read and snack, it was summertime, and the job suited me fine.

One night about 9:00 one of the second shift guys comes by himself and is clearly in no hurry to get back to work. He was talkative and seemed nice enough and what did I care? Relax, take a load off. So he's sitting at the picnic table talking and I'm standing a few feet away kind of half-listening and gazing at nothing when I look up and think, Oh wow there's a bunch of fishing bobbers in the sky.

Hard to believe, but the thought never entered my head to count them. There were maybe eight or ten orbs, white on top and red on the bottom, floating around in a somewhat haphazard and lazy manner. The word that occurred to me at the time was 'playful'. They seemed to be circling around and teasing each other, all in slow-motion.

Hey, I say, come here, look at this. He comes and stands next to me and his eyes get wide and he shuts up. Neither one of us say a word as we stare for about 3 or 4 minutes, a fairly long time. Finally, he says something; his exact words:

“I know for a fact neither you or I took any acid in the last 24 hours.”

After another minute or so they all started drifting upward and disappeared into the clouds. We sit down and again, don't say anything. Then he looks me in the eye, smiles, and says, Well, I guess I better be going, and takes his stuff and leaves. Never saw him before or since.

After 'fishing bobbers' the next thing I thought was, are those Chinese lanterns? That's sort of what they looked like and how they moved. But then: Fishing bobber painted Chinese lanterns? I looked on the internet for images, and could find none with that color scheme.

If I find out in this lifetime those were Chinese lanterns, I'm ready to accept that. But for now, they will remain 'unidentified flying objects'.
