Well this was unexpected!
Going through an old newspaper and found this article.
How cool Alberta had it's own aqua-monster.

There DO seem to be "leftovers" from a flood that landlocked some animals in place. At least that's the only way I can process these worldwide claims! :bigfish:

In the Klamoth and Trinity River system on the Hoopa Indian Reservation near Bluff Creek CA. where the famous Patterson-Gimlin film was made there is a river monster.
This river system feeds into the Pacific ocean, and it appears this creature lives in the ocean as well as the river system of this area.
Many folks have seen this creature and it sounds quite bizarre.
It is said to be serpent like, but with the head of a camel or horse.
The people who have lived in the region since before the white man arrived state you should not swim in areas where you can not stand because this creature is a predator.
A horse headed snake that is 20-30 ft long, and they tell their youth never swim in the river unless you can see the bottom, for fear they will be eaten by this horse headed creature.

I was watching YouTube videos on criptids and ran into a 1930 photo of the river creature the Hoopa describe. It was pulled from the belly of a sperm whale. Not too far from the Hoopa Valley. I should also note that all three big rivers in the Hoopa area run into the Pacific ocean.

Here is the video, it's the very first video on this compilation of cryptids.
The creature found in the video was dug from the belly of a sperm whale just a few miles outside of Cabora Bay British Colombia.

This is absolutely within striking distance of the creature seen on the Hoopa Reservation river system, and really isn't that far from Alberta especially if the river in Alberta has a Pacific ocean connect.

I believe that some lakes could still have some form of ancient reptile swimming around in them.

That is so cool!
What we don't know for sure but if there are huge underground rivers there are probably waterways and caverns, that are big enough to allow many of these creatures to live completely hidden from us.
