Ed Sheeran responds to backlash over removing Macklemore from tour after ‘Free Palestine’ comments
English singer outlines his position after US stadium owners refuse to let rapper perform after political speech.

• Courage is contagious. When one person stands firm and nothing “terrible” happens — when instead they gain support, respect, and a bigger platform — others realise they can do it too. Macklemore showed the way; Lewis Hamilton stepping up gave it a massive push.

• The cost of silence is becoming clearer. Celebrities are seeing that staying quiet doesn’t keep you above it all — it’s increasingly seen as a choice in itself. That pressure is pushing people to say what they actually think.

• People are hungry for honesty. The reaction to Macklemore — millions of new followers, public backing — proves the public doesn’t want polished, safe, corporate neutrality. They want authenticity and truth.
